It Ticks Me Off !!!

When the guy that plows out our driveway cuts the invisible fence wire...

When it's the second time he's cut it. ..last Fall working on the septic system..

When Mr.Alffe says he's running late..let's both drive to church and he never arrives......

When his car doesn't start cause he hasn't started it in weeks cause he's been driving mine.........

Cause my car is always dirty from Coopers wet feet...

When Mr.Alffe eats popcorn in front of me while I'm dieting...

When Mr.Alffe drinks red wine and I can't for two weeks...

When wren is hurting and I can't give her a real life hug.....

Are we having fun yet?

Am I thin yet?

This is going to be a long two weeks.....

Wren 02-04-2008 09:29 AM

It DOESN'T tick me off when I read something from Alffe ..... she's the kindest, sweetest, MOST HELPFUL person we have. God bless and keep her.

Guy who plows our drive, goes off curvey drive, plows up lawn, we see in Spring. Public road snowplows hit our mailbox but never look back!! We've had FIVE boxes in 7 years! (some mowed down by crazy drivers on dry, sunny days!!!)

Looking4hope 02-04-2008 10:05 AM

Oh my gosh! Alfee is human, after all!....:D

I just got in from my FIRST attempt to shovel myself out... AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN. My arms are aching.

I hear anger burns a lot of calories.... ;)

And just think, two weeks is only a blimp on the screen in the grand scheme of life...

This too shall pass...:)

Alffe 02-04-2008 11:30 AM

It's hard to stay ticked off around here! *grin

nohope 02-04-2008 12:46 PM

Oh my! Ugh!

Alffe 02-04-2008 01:48 PM

Waves at Kicker and laughs at Ugh! :D

I didn't know that shoveling burns calories!!!
and I'm not only human...I'm fat! *grin

Looking4hope 02-04-2008 02:04 PM

No, you are pleasingly plump. :cool2:

Alffe 02-04-2008 02:08 PM

Ok, I have to get my pleasingly plump butt off here and onto the treadmill...

Hugs for the room :grouphug:

nohope 02-04-2008 03:29 PM

You are so adorable:) My fingers look a little thinner since I joined this site and type away......................

Addy 02-04-2008 03:29 PM

I was ticked off yesterday when I got into IKEA... an announcement came over the speaker saying it was now 6 o'clock and they were closing!

I was ticked off because it was my last opportunity to shop there for months ....

Then, as is my way... I turn a "ticked off" into a good thing...

I didn't spend money I don't have.
I didn't buy things that would take up more room when packing!

:p

Looking4hope 02-04-2008 03:55 PM

It ticks me off that there is about a foot of snow on the ground and now it is raining cats and dogs with thunder outside  after I shoveled and feel like I have a pulled muscle in my arm! :(

I give up!:thud:

Looking4hope 02-04-2008 04:00 PM

I wonder if this is like a wonder thread but in reverse... :D

Just wondering.:p

hehehe..here we don't wonder...we KNOW what ticks us off. :p

feels so good to vent sometimes. :D

Alffe 02-06-2008 03:59 PM

:mad:I'm so ticked off I am sputtering. Same old- same old- pew warmers posing as Christians. When they drove out our last Pastor I resigned as an Elder and went away mad...I was told that I didn't understand. They explained to me that the Pastor was not the church...the congregation is the church. If this congregation succeeds in driving out yet another one....I am so permanently out of there!!!  And their biggest gripe is that "women are not supposed to be pastors". Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Curious 02-06-2008 04:09 PM

why did they "hire" her if they believe that? di dthey not send out a "calling" and and specify what the congregation wanted or needed?

 guess i shouldn't ask if y'all had a good lunch huh? :o

Alffe 02-06-2008 04:17 PM

That's exactly one of my points...it's not like SHE was a surprise!!!!!

nohope 02-06-2008 04:54 PM

Yikes, but the garlic butter was good, right? Yummy

Alffe 02-06-2008 05:27 PM

Pay attention Honey! :D It wasn't garlic butter..it was garlic paste! :D

nohope 02-06-2008 05:46 PM

I did say butter, didn't I. OOPS!

nohope 02-06-2008 05:47 PM

Must be the meds..................

DMACK 02-06-2008 06:45 PM

I might be way off the mark here...
But is the church it self and the presence of GOD in the church, fundamental to a church? ...[Where two or more are gathered in my name i too will be present....]

Not the Congregation or the Pastor...

If those who are attending act All high& mighty...dictating the way the church is run............my gut feeling is that GOD will be round the corner in a church that Welcomes all respects each other...and admits all human frailties. And so long as the person conducting the service has Passion to do gods work in the true sense of its meaning... it could be an alien in the pulpit..

My Auntie was a Mother Superior [ catholic nun] She would have put to shame most Catholic Priests..[ hence why I'm not a Catholic...]

GOOD TIP

if you walk in a church and feel happy.... god/something is in there

walk in and feel cold... go for a walk......

David......................sermon over....................................

Alffe 02-06-2008 06:53 PM

Loved your sermon David. Those pew warmers would be filled with rightous indignation that I would dare to question thier faith....after all...they are present EVERY Sunday morning. ~sigh

*whisper....nahhhhhhhhhh better left unsaid.

Curious 02-06-2008 07:19 PM

i know where you can get tweezers to take out butt splinters at wholesale. :p

DMACK 02-06-2008 07:20 PM
