What Is Going On??
 

Hello friends. AYUP, I'm home from DD's in NC and miss her already.

BUT, I couldn't believe it when the Pilot announced last evening, that we would have to circle the airport until it was safe to land due to snow falling and blowing. WHAT????

DH picked me up and we couldn't even see the road. I was so skeered!

Then, this morning, what is going on??? It's raining, thundering, and YES, lightning outside! How strange!!!

The trip was wonderful and even though my back is killing me, I faired pretty well.

I am truly thankful to be home safe and sound in Toad Hollow.

Yes, the weather is being quite "wack-o" right now.:eek: I live in Missouri, and it is 70 degrees, yes I said 70, and yesterday it was 40 degrees and thundering. I think Mother Nature is confursed! Our forcast calls for thunderstorms tonight, and then back to normal temperatures - mid 30s - tomorrow. Go figure. :)

We had ice and snow and rain and sun and warmer temps to cold to warm and now sort of hovering! It's crazy!

My road was iced over hard when I left for work last night. It was all sort of sparkly and no tracks on it at all. Very pretty although sort of treacherous... I took the trusty American steel car rather than the bumper car! Nothing like a Lincoln Towncar for bad roads!

When I got home this morning at 6:30 a.m., I noted that my road appeared sanded. I stopped and got out and YUP!! Not sure whether someone took pity on me or a newbie is driving the sand truck and doesn't know this is a private road yet, but it was sanded heavily all the way to the back of my bumper car!! Whatever happened, I appreciated it!

I'm certainly not envious of your snow and ice, :Noooo: because even though it's summer here, I'm sure our freezing weather won't be too far away.

When we get a cold wind here, they really are cold.....straight off the South Pole. :eek: Tasmania is the state at the very bottom of Australia....next stop Antarctica!

I knew something was different in the south. The weather drastically changed today. It got as high as 73*F, and it hasn't been that warm since you left Toad Hollow. Thanks for taking the cold home with you!!!:D

Hello Buddies!! Yup, Old Man Winter is reminding me that I'm back in IL.

The rain melted some of the snow, but Tues night, another storm is to hit.

I asked DH if he minded if I went back South. I cannot print his response due to my respect for this board.

Well, Anne...no pictures yet. I will get them up when I get home. I have a marathon day at the hospital tomorrow.

It's my Tovaxin appt so long day of neuro testing, poking, prodding, MRI and (Taffy close you eyes and don't read this) blood draw! :eek:

Then it's rush to the airport, turn in the rental car and catch a 5 pm flight home!

I hope I make that flight otherwise I spend the night here and don't get home til sometime on Wednesday!

Yep....sounds like a very busy day to me, and one I don't envy you.

Yep Driving Miss Daisy, another storm coming our way. I am on the border of Lasalle and Dekalb and we are expected to get 4-6 inches. But, they said that last time and we got in on the 12 inch side storm! Ugh. Gotta get out and vote before the craziness starts up!

Glad you made it home safely. The weather seems to be crazy
all over.

Today here it is high in the 60's tomorrow even higher. Then it is
going to drop. No wonder everyone is sick. I believe this weather has a
lot to do with how I am feeling this winter. Reading posts from all our buddies
it does seem to have the MS going more crazy and more often then it might
usually do.

Hello my dear Jappy! I agree w/you 100% on this nasty changeable weather causing so many health issues. There are alot of nasty bugs going around. It is snowing here now and supposed to get a big accumulation. (blah)

I was wondering how you were. Glad to see your post my lil Jappy bud!:hug:
