Someone asked me...

Someone asked me to describe who I am... that got me thinking.
Since I can't explain me, i've found but a few of my favorite songs that I think do a pretty good job. I thought I'd share....

Thanks so much for sharing a piece of yourself. I know how hard it is to open up and feel vulnerable (I know, remember?). Sharing music and lyrics that are meaningful to you are a good way to show others who you are....

Abbie.........wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!

Your choice of songs are brilliant..[many of my favourites]

The things about songs, are they do show your inner soul, your make up your being..
Amongst your choice of songs there is is a lot of sadness...restriction by your past...longing..and a hint o remorse...........
But there is hope.........passion and a desire to get up a GO..........
I hope you'll forgive me for being personal , but you have so much to give.
The past can hold us back, and can imobilise us.....3 of your songs srcream out ............let ME OUT' ................Abbie thank you for sharing your songs its nice to know how you see yourself..

OH MY!!!
David!!!
PROUD!!!
That is my ABSOLUTE favorite song lately!!!!!!!!
It is challenging me... the line... "What have you done today to make you feel proud?" Is one I try to answer every night.

I didn't know who sang it, have only heard it on TV over here... it's the theme song for NBC's Biggest Loser show.

The songs I have posted really are part of me... I don't live these things but they are part of me. Like I said... those listed are only a few... let me see if I can find the other side of me... didn't realize until I re-played these that I pretty much only posted the mostly lost side of me... guess cause that's where i've been lately...lost.

I'll post more later...
Thanks David for posting the Proud link... you just brightened my day!!!

I know.. yee haw... I'm just a home grown farm girl... country music is mostly what I listen to... I listen to and like all kinds of different types of music but country is what is on the radio channel most often.

I wanted to add about my song choices... the ones that I have listed as friends... those remind me of a couple of my old friends... the way I have it worded it looks like the artist are my friends...

The music you posted it really good... my fave is the JCB song... made me smile!!!:)

Did you mean to post it (JCB) twice?? You have it as a fantastic song and your song of all time... just checking---didn't want to miss your fav song if it was something different.

Thanks for sharing!!!

please listen to this from 02.11 on the time scale its Princess Diana's funeral.
I finished work the day before at 6pm. I had this overwhelming urge to go to the Funeral, my wife god bless her knowing i had lost my father the year before agreed for me to go when i rang her at 5.05 pm.
I caught a train to London and arrived at 11.30 pm. I spent two hours arround Buckingham Palace, istening and talking with people. Ihave never seen an out pouring of emoition /grief like this before and never will i think.

I slept on the street near the Cenotaph [ war monuement/ in memory of my fathe]

The song above was rehearsed at 4.45 am on the day of the funeral, and where i was is 5 mins from the Abbey, and the rehersal was brodacasted out of the aBBEY....ITWAS THE MOST HAUNTING THING I'VE EVER HEARD LIKE A CHIOR OF ANGELS...........I never cried at my fathers funeral but i never stopped that day.. like thousands of people we all cried for ourown loss, our own missery and a beautiful woman in Dianna.

On that night by the Cenotaph..... A matress was near the cordon.. next to it bottled water and a newspaper...... like us brits do... i observed it thinking someone would return.... first i sat on it then lay on it.. thinking if they come back i will get off politely...... no body did... to this day i believe my DAD put that mattress there..............................

Saddest thing is at 16 years old i also attended the wedding of C&D.[ along with 2 million other people obviously]............A LOT OF RESPECT WAS LOST TO THE ROYAL FAMILY AFTER HER DEATH,, time though does heal.. and as a monarchist my self we move on.................][Greatest of all prince William future king of England supports my football team ASTON VILLA how good is that]
