Look at the size of that moon!

There's going to be a lunar eclipse and it looks like the weather will let us see it! WOW

Abbie 02-20-2008 07:16 PM

It's clear here too!!!

The moon is beautiful!!!

I find something magical in the full moon and now to have a lunar eclipse on top... WOOHOO!!!!

Stay warm while watching...
I'll be watching too!!!

It's not clear here. We are just getting over a snow shower.

I was really looking forward to see the eclipse. Hopefully it will clear up.

The weather man said it will. But Mother Nature does her own thing.

The weather is very clear (and cold, 20 degrees) and the moon is just a beautiful site. It looks like it is starting to cover. A little dark on the botton left.

Its coming back from being totally gone...here in Utah!! Did you all notice the color??

Abbie 02-21-2008 12:26 AM

We saw a beautiful reddish orange... It was beautiful. Did ya know that one of the "stars" that are near the moon is actually saturn. With a telescope you can see the rings... Awwww... the beauty of this wonderful sight... We are all so blessed to be able to witness this rare beauty.

tamiloo 02-21-2008 12:33 AM

Thanks Jo, for the picture. We were in the upper sixties earlier today, but then around 6pm a cold with cloudy shies appeared.

Fogbrain 02-21-2008 05:25 AM

Great picture, Jo!

Here in southcentral MI I had clear skies and a great view...watched it off and on for the first hour.

Last one until December 2010.:)

Alffe 02-21-2008 06:47 AM

Watched most of it from the bay window....fabulous. Our daughter in S. Indiana got in her hot tub and had quite a show....too cold here, I'm chicken.

Great picture Jo....thank you!

kimmydawn 02-21-2008 07:46 AM

Thank you- yes you can copy it.
I had to use my tripod or it would have been way too blurry.
My camera has 10x zoom, but any movement is amplified so a tripod is the only way to go for those types of pictures.

Wren 02-21-2008 04:58 PM

:) Thank you, thank you, Jo !
I used only my legs for support taking my far distance photos in this COLD weather ... no wonder they were so blurry.
