Look at the size of that moon!
There's going to be a lunar eclipse and it looks like the weather will let us see it! WOW
|
It's clear here too!!!
The moon is beautiful!!! I find something magical in the full moon and now to have a lunar eclipse on top... WOOHOO!!!! Stay warm while watching... I'll be watching too!!! Abbie |
It's not clear here. We are just getting over a snow shower.
I was really looking forward to see the eclipse. Hopefully it will clear up. The weather man said it will. But Mother Nature does her own thing. Jappy :( |
It cleared up this afternoon here and I'm gonna go out and see if it's stayed clear!
So exciting. :) KD |
The weather is very clear (and cold, 20 degrees) and the moon is just a beautiful site. It looks like it is starting to cover. A little dark on the botton left.

We saw a beautiful reddish orange... It was beautiful. Did ya know that one of the "stars" that are near the moon is actually saturn. With a telescope you can see the rings... Awwww... the beauty of this wonderful sight... We are all so blessed to be able to witness this rare beauty.

Thanks Jo, for the picture. We were in the upper sixties earlier today, but then around 6pm a cold with cloudy shies appeared.

Great picture, Jo!
Here in southcentral MI I had clear skies and a great view...watched it off and on for the first hour. Last one until December 2010.:) |
Watched most of it from the bay window....fabulous. Our daughter in S. Indiana got in her hot tub and had quite a show....too cold here, I'm chicken.
Great picture Jo....thank you! |
It was extraordinary!!!!
Thank you for letting me know becasue I'd been so wrapped up in taking care of things and sick babies that I didn't know! I'm so glad I didn't miss it and would have. Hubby had forgetten until I mentioned this post. I always feel the big and amazing universe in awe at these times. :) KD |

I had to use my tripod or it would have been way too blurry. My camera has 10x zoom, but any movement is amplified so a tripod is the only way to go for those types of pictures. |
:) Thank you, thank you, Jo !
I used only my legs for support taking my far distance photos in this COLD weather ... no wonder they were so blurry. |
