*** YAY ***
Can I send more off your way, including Cardinals, Blue Jays, and all the others? :D |
I was standing outside this hotel, waiting in the sun for my dh & dreaming of seeing a robin then coming in after lunch & getting on here & telling everyone. ~ When the red red robin goes bob bob bobbin along, There'll be no more sobbin when he goes bobbin along
|
Yay DM!!!! Send that pretty thing my way please!
|
Today isn't too bad here. But, if the robins were here yesterday we would have to put little coats on them.:D
|
I've been seeing robins in our neck of the woods too. Cheerful little things after all the snow we had. :)
|
Yep, gotta admire those Robins for braving this chilly weather.
This week I've seen some unusually marked doves pecking around across the street. Also there's some little pale-yellowish crested birdies in my tree. And best of all: I finally got to see a blue bird! It was small and light blue just outside of town. Southie, I've never ever seen a cardinal or blue jay. You are so lucky! It wasn't until a year ago that I got to see my first fireflies! Fascinated by all God's cute little critters. |
*sticking robotic robin back in pocket*
Tee hee hee. |
Twink,
We have so many cardinals and blue jays here maybe I can catch a few and send them to you. How about starlings? We have a ton of those here. Get into everything. Even had one get into my mother's kitchen cupboard one time. Still can't figure that one out. Thought my daughter had lost her mind telling me there was a bird in with the cookies. |
Where's Toad Hollow?

I remember how excited we were to see the robins and they always made the front page of our small town newspaper. :) They represent HOPE that Spring is just around the corner! *doing the happy dance for all you Winter weary folks* :grouphug: |

Surreptitiously switches AMN's robotic bird for Robin "The Bird," and calls for Jappy's big hungry kitty. :D HEEEEEERRE KITTY, KITTY, KITTY!!!! Time for din-din! |
Noting this happend March 13th, just in time for the NORMAL spring time....The geese should be here in another 4 weeks or so....:(
|
Yes the geese should be there soon. They have left us, in Texas, and we are starting to see Bluejays. Thanks kellijo and southie for sending them, that means spring is around the corner.

We are awash in robins...finally! It's too early to start buying oranges for the orioles but I'm sure they are on their way.

Hi lor~~ Toad Hollow is indeed a "magical" place. I had a couple of board members visit *cough-stalk-descend on* me and they dubbed my lil village TH. So, unless you want to come visit me *hint-hint* Toad Hollow will remain "mystical". He77, I'm not even buying that!!! :D I live in IL, lor!!! Wanna come see me??? Wer'e going to have an IL gathering when a few more robins show up and the weather warms and all the cooties and bugs have left everyone...:) |
Seen a few Robins in my back yard over the last two weeks, this morning it sounded like spring, a bird sanctuary, Cardinals talking and all. Male and female Mallard in the runoff ditch about 300 feet behind the house, a pair there every year. Great to hear the birds in the morning!

Saw my first Robin Wed. the 12th. SPRING SPRING is coming Kellijo we also have tons of Starlings here. I put seeds out for the other birds and they come down in hords and chase all away. I put out all different types of feed to attrack different birds and they just eat everything and destroy my feed hangers. They also take the plastic garbage bags apart and leave a mess. Can't wait until I start seeing the other spring birds. Jappy :ROTFLMAO::ROTFLMAO::ROTFLMAO: |
Twinkie, what's wrong with you??? :D
You know guys we've seen my relatives around here for weeks, maybe even a month.... :D |
I love Robins! I heard and saw more than one out in the yard today! :) I love their happy chirp! And the way they turn their little birdy heads to the side to look or (listen?) for worms! :Thats-Funneh:
