I have just talked to Edith and she is now in the chatroom talking to Elle. I am so happy she has agreed to come on line once again. There have been so many questions from so many as to her heath and welfare

so as Mr Cotter used to say Welcome back welcome back welcome back

Oh Travolta was such a hunk I used to watch him over the heads of my kids and dream.................................dark night...........him...........me.........fantasy land you say.........well I'll take it

Ellie 10-19-2006 07:12 PM

Welcome Edith, it was a pleasure chatting with you! :)

ZombieSlayer 10-19-2006 10:56 PM

Welcome back Edgewood :)

mrsD 10-19-2006 11:06 PM

How Cool!

Welcome back!

Is the tall spotted one coming too? <hope hope>

Reeves 10-20-2006 02:33 AM

a question

Sorry, am confused. I thought this site was totally independent from the old Braintalk but the post by Zombie Slayer seems to imply that Edgewood should reregister on the original site and she will not be doing that. I guess I just want confirmation that this site is safe from the old problems.

By the way, she will not be using the name Edgewood again. She is pretty afraid that the folk who wanted rid of her on the old site will be lurking here.

Thank you so much for your welcome in chat Ellie. I was told you are a really nice person and the ones who told me that are absolutely right.

By the way Mrs D, the tall spotted one is offline these days and I don't know if she will be back. At least not immediately.

Thank you Thelma and Alffe and all of you for being so caring.

Welcome back Edge. It's been a long time since I've seen you in the old chatrooms way back when. You've been missed.

Yea what she said :) Everything under that little solid line is my signature.

Reeves 10-20-2006 07:23 AM

you miss my point

ZS, you and Lara miss my point entirely
What I am asking is simple
Is this BT 2 site linked in any way to those who ran the old BT site?
I have already registered here as I was told this is an independent site, but will not under any circumstances be registering on the original BT site and nor will Edgewood. The hurt and damage and primarily the fear still lives on.

kimmydawn 10-20-2006 08:07 AM

Hi there, and welcome.

This site is an independent site that is in no way affiliated with Braintalk.

We're in the process (as I type this actually) of changing the name to NeuroTalk.

Please read some past threads re: moderators and this site and you'll find that we have a totally different atmosphere here.

I wanted to welcome you and invite you to PM me at any time.

Welcome Edgewood!

I see the new name of 'NeuroTalk' is now up at the top when I log in, so that should help people to know that this is not BT. Doc John, who runs this forum, is NOT JL.

Hi Reeves ....... nice to see you. I hope you are keeping warm in your neck of the woods.

hiya addy!! how did your singing go?

Reeves 10-21-2006 02:43 AM

To all those who remember Edgewood Reeves so well

I am so happy to see so many old friends again and it is so good of you to remember Reeves but am sad to report that I chose to use this name in honour of him as he passed to kitty heaven in February this year and I miss him still so much and the grief is taking a long time to ease. He developed lymphoma and had been ill for a year. Finally liver and kidney failure appeared and because of how much I loved him, on 18th Feb when he woke up and it was clear he was dying and no longer able to eat, use his litter or use his legs I asked the vet to end his suffering. It was the last and greatest gift of love I could give to my Prince of Cats. He was 16.

I will try to get Sister to join us here but she does prefer chatrooms to message boards. I suppose I do too, so I hope to see you all in the chatroom soon.

hello Edith and a big welcome to NeuroTalk!:)

I am so sorry to hear of your loss of your kitty:( I am a cat person too and I know just how much a part of ourselves they become and when one of them leaves us it leaves a tender space forever.

I also just want to reassure you that you are safe here in this new and caring community.

Addy 10-21-2006 07:13 PM

Its so good to see everyone here!

Addy *waves back at scrabbly :D
Isn't fall beatiful when the sun shines!?!

Edgiesis ((HUGS)),
I have a photo of Reeves in my washroom - he lives on as reminder to those who take care of my cats, Buddy and Raffi. Inside the photo frame of Reeves is the caption: "We need fresh water daily!"
You have lost a nurted/nurturing friend... my heart can only imagine the emptiness. ((big hugs))

Monkey, we had a wonderful time in Vegas - major sensory overload... I've been exhausted for more than a week after. Thanks for asking... as a chorus, we met our goals and were once again honored to sing on the same stage as all the other world champions! A chorus from Texas came in first, the 2nd place is from Chicago and the 3rd from Toronto, Canada. The winning quartet is from Sweden - you can bet they/we were proud - its like figure skating, there's a pecking order - they've finally climbed to the top!

I will catch up here soon... will mostly hang out at SOS.
I will check out the chat rooms as well. Would someone kindly post the link here. Much appreciated!

xo Addysis

Hi Addy!

I'm glad your trip to Vegas went well and it sounds like there must have been some wonderful singing.

To get to the chat rooms ... at the top of the page on the right there is a link ("Chat Rooms") just beside "Log Out". If you click there it will take you to the main room and then you'll see if anyone is there or in any other rooms.

Oh Edgie -- SO good to finally see you :)
But I'm very sorry to hear about Reeves. I had to say good bye to my precious 18 yr old Belle (Jingle's sister) in April so I understand how awful that is. Jingle will be 19 on Nov. 14.
We hope you're well, happy and visit here frequently.

Here's Belle

Hiya Edgie!!
It is very good to see you posting here!! Not sure if you remember me, but we got to meet during your trip through Indiana! You and your travel mate (the tall one) ended up taking me to the ER while you were there. Some visit that was! LOL! No matter what, I sooo enjoyed our visit! I feel very lucky to have had the chance to meet, and get to know you even better!! My son REALLY enjoyed his visit with you too! Thank you for taking the time to share some of your wisdom with him, it made a good impression on him! :)

I feel confident you will feel much safer here at NeuroTalk! There were lots of difficulties at OBT, prior to the site going down, which led to my leaving. I didn't feel safe being there, and walking on eggshells isn't something I do very well. This site has been a breath of fresh air!! :)

It looks like you have been very missed by many of your friends from OBT, and I'm glad you chose to come back around to be with all of those who do care very much, in a much safer environment!!

Joselita 10-24-2006 10:16 AM

Glad to see you

Edgewood,

You probably don't remember me, but we chatted a few times on and off throughout the years in the old chatrooms at BT (Not Flashchat, as I could never get that to work well for me, and gave up on it).

I am very happy to see you here, and that you decided to give this new place a try. You have been greatly missed, by so many people. I understand your being leery of it at first, but I really think that you will find that this is a wonderful little "home" we have here. You don't have to worry that there will be a repeat of what went on over at BT, that is for sure. I am so sorry that happened....I was shocked. But, then...I was shocked by so much that happened over there.

I am just very glad that you are here....and I am very sad to hear about Reeves. You have my heartfelt condolences.

I hope that you like this new place, and I am so happy to see you again.

Take Care,
Joselita

PS, if you talk to The Tall One, will you please tell her that she is greatly missed too? She might not remember talking with me, although we did PM a few times...but I would like for her to know that I miss her too. :o Thanks...
((hugs))
Jose
