Imagine:

Okay, Okay....GIVE!!! :D

This thread is for us to imagine....

close your eyes and what do you see?

It must be beautiful or calm...

It must be descriptive so we can all imagine it....

What is your favorite dream?

What do you hope for?

What makes you happy?

Right now I hear a roaring and fast moving river. There are trees stretching high into the deep blue sky. There are birds flying tree to tree. The mountains are steep and rocky. Across the river, I see a young family. They lay out a blanket and spread a feast for their children. The young girl is giggleing and her brother is catching frogs. Mom and Dad gaze into each others eyes. They are happy. I look at my feet, I am dangling on a rock with my feet in the cold water. I take a deep breath and look to my right, and see my own family. They are teasing me...I laugh out loud. I reach for my husbands hand and he squeezes it just so. I blush like a young girl. I am happy

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

YOUR TURN :D

I'm imagining my favorite vacation spot in Panama City Beach. The sand is white as snow, perfectly combed with very few pebbles or shells. The water literally defines aquamarine and the sky is the perfect shade of light blue. Windsurfers enjoying their sport and dolphins frollicking amongst them is a favorite memory of mine that brings me such joy and contentment.:)

Abbie 03-29-2008 11:57 PM

I'm seeing a small pond at the bottom of a little hill...

fish jumping...

I sit down, lay back on the hill and watch the clouds rolling by...

I hear birds singing....

A rustle in woods on the other side of the pond.... I look...
I see a momma dear with a little one close behind her.

I lay there for hours.... just watching and listening...

suddenly out of now where... I hear.... the most wonderful sound I could ever hear....

my "angels" (friends children)

they've discovered I'm there and are running as fast as they can to shower me with hugs and kisses....

Ahhh.... that's my heaven.

I imagine I am the first to wake up in our camp site the fire still holds a tender tindril of flame and is slowly spark to life, dusk is slowly losing its battle to dawns awakening light. a gentle soft mist covers the ground, dew sits on the leaves, a deer enters the glade, stops and looks at me. the smoke from the fire brushes my eyes as im still crouched down by the fire, standing up the deer scampers off a few yards then goes back to grazing, the ever brightening glow in the east is growing across the river as the ground mist runs to escape the warmth of its light, slowly it creeps, the awakening dawn, as my family slumbers unaware of all the majesty that is happening all within their reach, standing there as the mist gathers around my feet, the last stars fade slowly from sight, the darken sky becoming a redder and redder glow, a shimmering across the river, of a circluar shape, rising up over the horizon and over the river at the same time, like splitting a prism, morning has broken

Kitty 03-30-2008 03:59 AM

Wow, Frank, that was beautiful! I felt like I was right there at your camp site!!

weegot5kiz 03-30-2008 08:37 AM

it was that or my magical cloud ride, find the biggest puffest softest cloud up there climb on to the edge and get comfty laying down on the edge of the big soft pillowly cloud and look down below as the cloud slowly passes by the countryside, the shadow of the cloud slowly rolling up and down over the landscape below across farmer potters fields, see how the shadow goes down into popular creek, see how the creek is lined up with willow trees all along its path, through the field, now see the shadow come back out into the field from the creek, slowly now the shadow is climbing the hay stacks built up in the fields, slowly traveling on the cloud the shadow crosses farm field after farm field, corn to soy to wheat see how the shadow dances its way across a set of railroad tracks, and then over a small pond, look at the kids below, jumping in making huge splashes as the clouds shadow passes over them, just laying there relaxing on my soft safe cloud watching the clouds shadow slowly roll across this land slowly

this comes from when i was a kid and spent time down in the desert country use to watch those lone clouds travel across the desert and follow their shadows on the ground, sometimes you could see a clouds shadow a fair distance off

I step out of the log cabin and look over lake with the fog just lifting and a moose standing on the shore fishing for his breakfast...... he lifts his head and breaths in the cool air. My coffee cup in hand I step over to the porch swing and sit to relax before the day begins. Looking over the lake is Katahdin Maine's Tallest Peak. Life is good, no worries, no stress, no pain.....

FlyFishin Momma 03-30-2008 09:40 AM

I cannot even compete with ya'll..........I will just come vist each of you in YOUR wonder spots on earth okay...........aaaaahhhhhhh.........so joyful and peace abounds.

AZjanie 03-30-2008 11:10 AM

I am riding my horse "Majorettes Tag".

In a hack she was an all around athlete, barrels, poles; just loved to run! In a curb bit she was a lady in Western Pleasure or English. Most important she was my friend and confidant.

Maggie; I miss you but we had some great times!

weegot5kiz 03-30-2008 11:24 AM

that was really sweet janie

Bannet 03-30-2008 01:13 PM

I close my eyes. I hear the sound of the ocean. I am afraid to open my eyes for fear it is not real.

I take a peek and to my wonder the most beautiful body of water I have ever seen in my life.

I am sitting in a small beach chair in the water. The sun is hitting the ocean just right. It looks like sparkling diamonds as far as you can see.

The smell of salt is in the air and I take a deep breath trying so very hard to take everything in.

I have no worry here. No Pain. Not even a twitch.

The sound of the waves hitting on the rocks is music to my ears.

I am at peace here! I am in love here! I am free:)

Right now it is sunny out but COLD...in the 60's and windy. YUK!!

Take me away: :)

I am imagining I am on a beach looking cool in my new bikini comparing modeling contracts and deciding who I will sign with and how on earth do I plan to keep my lottery winnings a secret?

Will someone please tell Brad Pitt and all those others I am busy and they can just leave a message and I will get back with them sometime.

I guess being famous for inventing a chewable pill that melts fat and builds muscle is just too much at times!! Pass the chocolates please.

Back to reality:

Time to clean the toilets!!

weegot5kiz 03-30-2008 01:44 PM

I'm on that river Greenjeans is sitting by, I paddle past in my newly repaired canoe and see Yabbit sitting on her swing in the distance and wave with a smile and line up to run the rapid...

I make it through the first drop. spray splashing my face and take a quick swipe at my eyes to see my line for the next drop... my bow drops into the rapid and disappears out of sight, but pops back up and rides the rooster tail wave at the end on perfect line...I eddy out at the bottom and hear the faint cheers from the crowd, bail out the boat and paddle on to the next one...:D

SallyC 03-30-2008 04:27 PM

I'm sitting by a campfire, staring at the clear starry sky. The only things besides me and my hubby are the trees and the forest creatures. There is a slight breeze - just enough to cool one down on a summer's night.

weegot5kiz 03-31-2008 08:40 AM

ever go to sleep as a kid outside camping out in the wild country no city lights to disturb you, crickets singing with their feet, tree frogs singing so neat, wind slightly rustles the leaves like musical instruments play, as far as you can see darkness in the sky with hundreds no thousands millions billions stars stars on stars, stars nears stars you never saw back at home, so you set your hands behind your head, getting ready to start counting this is gonna take a while, where to begin orion, big bear, little dipper?, so many places finally you choose and begin counting and after restarting for the 5th time start to yawn and and snuggle a bit deeper into your sleeping bag, still stubbornly counting, till the next thing you know is a boot pokes you in the side and the brightest star is shinning in your eyes its morning, once again you were not able to count all the stars, maybe tonight....

thanks fin

Commonality! We love water, fires, animals....No room for any city in our imagination....

I see the spark of light and hear the clap of thunder as I lay in bed at the cabin. Rain pours down on the tin roof sounding like a stampead of wild horses. DH gets up to light a fire while I make hot chocolate with a touch of marshmallow. We pull out the cards and he lets me win for a change. A break in the clouds brings a ray of sunshine down in the forest beyond. I smell a wet woodsy smell and see the water dripping from the heavy branches....its a good day to take a nap....

Thanks for joining me RW.....

weegot5kiz 03-31-2008 01:31 PM
