That's cute! Thanks for the laugh! :)

Foggy Brain 03-31-2008 11:41 AM

That is too cute! :) Hopefully you are writing these cute sayings somewhere for future use. I have kept a book since my little one was born to preserve the memories, in case my memory continues to fade. :(

My dd (5) calls an umbrella "rain brella" - HA! :) And Liz just lost her first tooth, and immediately told me she wanted to keep it forever. After we put the tooth under her pillow, she innocently said, "But, momma, what if the tooth fairy doesn't come?" Oh, such worries at such a young age!

Bannet 03-31-2008 11:53 AM

That is funny Sox! Bet dad probably cringed from that remark:Grin-Nod::Grin-Nod:

Jodylee 03-31-2008 12:19 PM

You mean we can't ????

I plan on being one of those crochety old ladies who says whatever they want whenever they want. My grandmother was one of them and despite the openmouthed shock at what came out of her mouth at times, it was pretty darned funny!

We still laugh when we remember the stuff she used to come out with! She asked me once if I was "shooting pot" and I had to tell her that I didn't do it because the stems and seeds kept clogging the needles.:D

Sox, I bet Dad was openmouthed too! Hard to come down from the superhero burn!

I used to be that way as a teen. I would just say whatever I was
thinking. Ive really mellowed out with that.........really I have.

Now my oldest got some of that from me. At Christmas, he asked
me dsil what kind of bowl they used to cut her dd's hair(his cousin)??
:thud:
Then a few weeks ago we were bringing a really nice pillow top mattress
into his room that was my dear grandmothers. She had purchased it
right before she went to the nursing home. Sadly, she has passed:(.
Anyway, I digress..... So..... he asks my dfather(who is the son
of my grandmother) Does this mattress have any old people juice
on it?????:eek: :thud::thud: i=Its a good thing my family has a great
sense of humor. Im hoping he will grow out of it just like I did.

Soxmom, you'll like this one.

I was watching my niece and nephews (3 & 5 at the time) one day. My 5-year old nephews was home sick from school. So, hey I have MS, everybody takes a nap when I do. So, I put my niece in her crib, had my nephew climb up to his bed, and I was laid down in 3-year old nephews bed. Well my nephew had trouble settling down. So I told him to try and relax and to help him I suggested he think about the Red Sox's (his favorite team). He was quiet for a while and didn't more around much and I thought oh, cool he's going to sleep.

The he asks me really curiously as he couldn't figure this out, "Aunt Trish, what red socks. I don't have any red socks." I just cracked up and told him THE Red Sox, the team. LOL.
