Spring????
:Doh:Hi Everyone out there, :Tip-Hat:
Has anyone seen signs of Spring yet? Yesterday we had 7 deer feeding and roaming over our back lawn. :Excited: They were so cute!! As soon as my Daughter shows me, yet again, how to post pics, I will put some up for all to see. Sharon :Wave-Hello: |
:)Yes, Spring comes to North Carolina, where I live,, fairly early. We had the Bradford Pears blooming and now the dogwoods. Our beautiful golden spirea and the daffodils are done now.
I have numerous perrenials that show up in the spring. Now the Bleeding hearts and the hosta have made an appearance, plus my beautiful lenten roses. I love gardening and Spring is such a delightful time. Unfortunately April is a strange month. I remember Aprils where we had snow when lived in the North. I also remember tornado outbreaks and storms. One day a storm and the next day sunshine. It's just like life isn't it. Tootsie |
nw of chicago here and we had more signs last weekend than this weekend, the birds are all in place plants are breaking ground, the crocus on the south side of my house bloomed last week, this week been a bit wet and chilled
another week or so should finally break on trough |
The pink and white crabtrees bloomed in central Missouri last week :) compared to this time last year when a deep freeze stunted the blossoms before they bloomed. :(
Old man winter has shown his face again these past few days with temperatures barely reaching 38* with strong, low wind-chills. Forecast calls for rain/snow showers for a few days, with temperatures rising to 50* on Monday. Spring will show up soon . . . |
Yep, got popcorn popping on the apricot tree!!!
Once I harvested some blossoms and made some apricot soap. But that ain't gonna happen again -- so much easier to just buy it from the store!!! ;) Happy Spring, everyone!!! :trampoline::Dancing-Chilli::Dancing-Chilli::Dancing-Chilli: |

Was hot here today in So Cal after a cold week. I know I know not like all you peeps to my right on the map. But I grew up in Buffalo so I understand cold. |

Hey Polar I wonder if that is DM"s deer in the snowbank?
|
Here in Ohio we've had so much rain lately that it seems many animals are lost as to where to find food. Last week there was a pic. of a wild turkey in someone's front lawn right in the city!!! A few days later, one of a horse and a donkey walking down a four lane road...someone apparently left the gate open??? LOL
Not too many birds migrating north yet, just the woodpeckers & bald eagles into the area so far Tulips and daffodils should be blooming within the next wk, supposed to warm up...FINALLY!! |
some of the daffodils opened here saw them today all south side of the house, flowers are doing well , hope thing keep improving for everyone:D

Here it feels like a seesaw. One day we have beautiful spring weather with temperature in the high 70's to low 80's. The next day we are down in the 40's. Trees are blooming and our tulips are out. I just wish mother nature would make her mind up.

Spring or Winter!!!!
Hi, It's me again, :icon_mad:
Just hauled my carcass out of bed, looked out the window and guess what!!!!! more snow. :Soapbox: I'm telling you it's April for pete's sake, this snow thing is getting reaaallly lame. It is right on the freezing mark here this A.M., supposed to go up about 5 degrees today. :nopity: Well on the brighter side, the breathing problems I have had the past couple of weeks seem to be easing a bit. Enough of that foolishness. :partytime2: Hope everyone is having a good day and feeling well. :grouphug: Sharon :Dancing-Chilli: |
Still cold in west MI, but we have some seriously fat robins around and yesterday the sun came out and awakened the little buds everywhere. It's time, it's time, it's time!
|
I got up to 24 degree weather this morning, and by afternoon it was over 50! It's about time, all I have to say :D..Should be around 70 tomorrow, if the forcast is right..Really windy though. Nope, not gonna complain about that..Or the allergies from the budding trees..Nope..No complaints here..

It was 86 degrees here today!! :D
|
Only 50 here today, but they're saying near 70 for the remainder of the week. Mama robin has built her nest in my metal awning above my front step (not the greatest of locations but being a bird lover I let it be) and is sitting on not one but FOUR blue eggs !!! Can't wait to see her feeding those little peeps. Still no tulips blooming, just the daffodils

The tulips, well a few have buds but none are blooming yet. All the hyacinths that made it have nice buds. I'm worried it's too soon. One good frost and they'll be in trouble.
Walked around the yard with the dogs and saw a neat round pile of feathers - Robin feathers. What? What could have done that? It wasn't a cat - they always leave the wings, and never leave that many feathers, never that tidy. Huh... dh thinks it's the weasle. It was kind of creepy, what ever it was. |
