The Music Goes Round and Round...
and it comes out...where???
Just having one of those frustrating days. I want to walk around like Clint Eastwood: Go ahead, I DARE you to tell me that we ALL have problems, and people have LOTS worse problems than I do. I DARE you to tell me just to stop stressing about it, not to let it "get to me". Go ahead...make my day! Is my IBS attack making my MS symptoms worse, or are my MS symptoms causing stress that provokes the IBS attack? Is the anxiety an MS symptom, or the natural reaction to flare-ups of IBS, MS, and arthritis? Am I anxious because I'm sick, or sick because I'm anxious? Go ahead, just ONE MORE PERSON tell me I shouldn't "stress out". Good idea, she says (dripping with sarcasm), Why didn't I think of that? |
*whispering from safe distance*
B2, many of us, me included, have made Immodium our 5th food group. It works for me and has saved me a lot of negative emotions. and... Don't go with the flow! Make sure it gets to you every day! Hurt someone with a heavy, blunt instrument! Take it out on your family and friends! Throw some dishes! *running out of thread, fast* |

B2Y.....Sweetie we ALL have problems....some much worse than yours. Stop stressing about it...don't let it get to you. Don't get all stressed out about it. ***running...but looking over my shoulder!!*** You know I'm just messin' with you!! I'm sorry you're having a hard time this morning. I hope you get to feeling better. Wish I had some "words of wisdom" for you...I'll leave that to those who know more than I do (which is pretty much everyone here!! :D) P.S. When I saw your thread title I immediately thought of that song "The Wheels on the Bus Go Round and Round"....now I cannot get that darn song out of my head! Thanks!:p |
Taffy with that naive look that she has on her face all the time....too dumb to duck or run...
Here. (pops open Immodium pills) Wanna couple? Downs own with a Pepsi.:D :hug: |
When I saw this thread I imediately thought of "You spin me right round, baby, right round, like a record player..."
Like that B2Y? You know I love ya right? RIGHT?! *peering out from behind the back door, ready to run fast* |
B2Y,
Water and Dolcalax.... .and lots of it. |
Sorry you are having a bad day. Go in your room, take a hot bath, sulk, feel pity... I do every now and again and it really helps!!!
Thinking of you  Connie |
Take a hot bath??? Help! Help! Connie's trying to kill me!!! (Just kidding, I appreciate your response :))
It would be nice if I could take a vacation from my brain...temporary, I mean. |
 B2, sending some cyberhugs your way.
|
Thank you for the cyberhugs, FinLady. I wondered what that warm feeling was that suddenly came over me!

 Ack, can I claim ignorance still?? I forgot heat can exacerbate. Yikes, I LOVE my hot baths, but always have to sit after I got out of them. I figured it was just TOO hot (I like them VERY HOT). I did notice, before knowing it was MS and that heat was bad, that with my last flare up, heat made it worse. I forgot I mentioned it to my doc until I read her notes. Otherwise, when I am not "active" it does not bother me. Ok, strike that, take a tepid bath :p |

I guess my eyes must move faster than my brain can think: I thought FinLady was sending you cyberBugs!!!:rolleyes: Eeeeek!!! Okay then, forget the hot bath and take a cold shower. Brrrrrrr! :rocket: |
It's okay, Connie, you meant well! :) My arthritis loves a hot shower, my MS doesn't. I try to find a balance. Oh wait. I don't have any balance.
I feel a little better today. Once in a while, everything seems to rear its ugly rear at once, and it just overwhelms me. Today I've got it just a wee bit more pulled together (she likes to think). I've got to get my Mickey Rivers thing going. Back in the day, I saw an interview with "Mick the Quick", and the interviewer asked him how he could be so laid back about everything. I can't quote it precisely, but essentially he said: "Well, I don't worry about the things I can't do anything about, because I can't do anything about them anyway. And I don't worry about the things I CAN do something about, because I can DO something about them so I don't need to worry about them either. So why worry?" |

UH OH!!! :D Someone has a siggy line that reminds me of this, "Don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining." ;) Hmm, shouldn't be joking when you've been feeling lousy.... Not making light of it at all, promise!! |
When my PCP made me cry about my DX (like it's HARD to make me cry) and I apoligized to her for crying she said "you have a right to cry". I do, sometimes, not all the time though. Some days are like that.
