The new $5, heck, all of the redesigned bills still all look like play money to me.

I was working as a cashier when they redesigned the $20 the first time, and I swear, the first time I saw the brand new bill, I just could not get past the thought that it reminded me of play money.

We have a One Dollar coin. In fact, we've had several different versions.

I remember when we lived in The Philippines that once I exchanged my US Dollars into other country's currency, it was like fake money. It was hard to remember what it was really worth. :eek:

I really enjoyed British money when I went to England in 2001. I love the clink noise that the pound coins made when you had a handful of them. Plus, it was fun to shop.

When my friend sent this picture of the new bill I didn't notice for a few minutes what made it unique...then I got past the blonde in me and saw what it said in the upper right hand corner...good for one gallon of gas...:D

You're quite right Cherie. Our currency is very brightly colored, and I like it.
Bright colors make for easy identification when the eyes are playing up.

When I travel through Canada, I like getting the "Loon" :D My favorite pocket money...a few of those and the weight makes me feel rich :p
