I feel like such a terrible friend. I come here asking for opinions and prayers and to offer support and to just enjoy the posts then all of a sudden I disappear without saying anything, leaving posts and IM's unanswered. :(

This last week, especially the last few days have been so freakin' weird. I have felt awful and as though I'm in my own little world, and I'm not really myself. There are so many things that I plan on doing but I just don't get to them, or worse yet, I plain forget about them. Maybe the 2 weeks in the TN countryside will give me a chance to re-group and to find my right attitude again.

I just wanted to let everyone know how much I appreciate being able to come here and I am sorry if I have made it seem as though I may have...I don't know..."taken advantage of" this board. I do not mean to post and run. You all have been so wonderful and I feel at home here and I love y'all.

Can you forgive me? :(

:grouphug:

Oh yeah I have a new myspace page, link is on the profile, I'd love for y'all to take a look at it!

My dear "post card friend".

Don't you ever feel that you've let the team down. No-one said you have to check in every day when you joined this site!

Not one member here would have reason to think you took advantage of them.......I know! I'm a woman! :D

Don't think like this Suzyq, I'm just grateful you found time to pop in and say Hi anyway, and I'm darn sure others will feel the same.

Have a wonderful time in TN, but don't forget we want details!

OK.....Now tell an Aussie what TN means please....:)

:hug: Thank you so much! I'm tellin' ya I've been in a funky weird place lately and I don't like it! My moods have been all over the place and I've been having an overwhelming feeling that I've let a lot of people down. Not just here but dh and my family as well. But I know it will get better...just a small bump in the road.

TN is Tennessee where I used to live. I'm going to visit my family and friends there.

This is where I live now...Houston Texas about 3 million population
http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l2...07008Small.jpg

And this is where I'm going...I used to live here, the first picture is my backyard one foggy morning (my mom still lives there) the second is the road that goes up to my church.
http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l2...various087.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l2...various015.jpg Pulaski Tennessee population about 10,000

So you can see why I'm looking forward to this trip and why I'm thinking it will help me get sorted out and to feeling more like myself.

Here's my very special cure for pity parties....which I indulge in from time to time myself....

http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/i...s/hugs0078.gif

I think you're giving yourself too big of a hard time here Suzy. Sounds like you're in the middle of stuff and blaming yourself for just about everything that's happening around you. I would like you to STOP this instant......please :)

Friends will forgive just about everything, and don't forget that's what we are on this site.....we're all friends!

Thank you for those pictures. The bottom ones are so lovely they make me want to come visit with you.

Hugs Suzy.....:grouphug:

I forgot to ask has Houston really got that many people?? I don't think we have that many in our whole county....

10,000 sounds much more to my liking. That's more like our cities here, but I've always preferred large
country towns myself. Much more my cup of tea!

suzyqz_2007 04-18-2008 04:28 AM

 Yeah I think that not feeling good and dealing with MS crap has put me right in the middle of one heck of a pity party! But I won't let it last long! I don't like being like this!

Here is a good Houston link for you to go to if you want, it's got some interesting facts and pictures. http://www.visithoustontexas.com/med...ton_statistics

Houston area has 4.7 million people. I don't know if it's caught up with Detroit or Philly yet but it's close. Land wise it's a very large area, so it doesn't seem too crowded in alot of places. The highways are a joke - we have some 20 lane plus roads here.

Tom

DAY1 04-18-2008 07:38 AM

lol yep Tom, those roads are crazy in Houston.

A few years back we went to a family reunion in Houston. We were following the inlaws and they kept missing our exit. OMG, I was freaking out. WAY too much traffic for me.

Before it was all said and done, I was digging for Ativan.
Definately not the place for me.

DAY

Suz, your pics of home are fantastic. It's hard not to love the whole region and you'll definitely feel fabulous when you soak up some of that mountain air and drink in a little humidity.

I'm concerned about your feelings, have you told your neuro about it? Sometimes MS can play chemical tricks on us and you might be experiencing that right now.

Anyway, have a wonderful visit! We'll hold down the fort here for you.:)

tkrik 04-18-2008 09:39 AM

Suzy - I am sorry that you are feeling this way. No, I don't feel like you let me down at all. Many times, I need to take a small break from the boards for different reasons (I have things going on with the kids, work picked up a bit for me, I'm working on a painting, I'm not doing well, etc.).

I think once you are in TN you will start feeling better. From the pictures that you posted it looks so peaceful and beautiful as opposed to city life. Last weekend, despite being in a flare, I went camping/fishing. It didn't do anything for the flare but it sure was good therapy for my psyche. Being in the country like that was so wonderful. No phones, no TV, no city noise, etc. I rested and slept a LOT! I was able to let myself be absorbed by the beauty around me.

Hang in there! You will be fine. Let us know how your trip goes.

sassy 04-18-2008 09:52 AM

DM says we're "crusty". But she's probably the only "crusty" one here. BTW, what does crusty mean?

And FFM? A skunk in her bed is the name of a state?? UGH

And AMN has the bestest advice of all, check with your neuro if you don't feel yourself. Never know what might be going on with us.

Enjoy your visit to TN and send us more pics, they are beautiful!

tovaxin_lab_rat 04-18-2008 10:33 AM

Enjoy your visit Suzy. It sounds like just what you need. Time away from the rat race and time to assess...relax and regroup with things familiar.

Making an appt with your doc might not be a bad idea as well for when you return....could be something else going on, too.

In the meantime, just enjoy your time.

the Bird 04-18-2008 10:42 AM

Well Suzy I feel like you let me down! you are telling us that you won't be writing for what did you say weeks???? HUH??? That is too long Suzy!!! :D

SuzyQ, Old friends and family ought to help you lift your spirits, but if not....see your old doc there and tell them how you are feeling. OK? Promise? Double pinky swear??? :D

MS isn't the chickenpox. It doesnt' cure up and go away, maybe revisit you when you are 70 to give you a nice itchy case of Shingles! No, MS hangs around playing peek a boo and you never know when the joke is on MS....It is VERY different to get used to.

You go and have a good time and don't overdo!!! Use the word "no" when you have to!! They might not understand, but your MS will reward you for it and give you the energy to do something you'd LOVE to do later!

Peace.

Twinkletoes 04-18-2008 11:07 AM

Hey, QZ, just seeing your avatar cheers me up!!! C'mon, we're not that hard to please. Don't be so hard on yourself, K? We still loves ya!!!

Hmmm, wish Utah was on your way to TN...wanna take the scenic drive??? :p

WOW! My whole state has a population of around 470,000 and our cities are small. The capital city of the state I live in has a population of about 180,000

I can't even imagine what that must be like. In big cities like Sydney you may find hwys with 4 lanes going in each direction, but certainly not in other areas. Even our highways that lead from one state to the other usually only have 2 lanes each way!

MSacorn 04-18-2008 06:34 PM

Hi Suzy
I hope the trip to TN is just the medicine you need to start feeling better. I know the pics cheered me up. I'll have to go there one day.

As the others have said, a trip to the doc may be next on your list.

Relax, girl, you are so hard on yourself. This disease is hard enough. Breathe.

Sending healing :hug::hug:
