Is everyone in Virginia OK? I read that 3 tornados touched down there.

I just talked to Greta and she's driving back to VA Beach from Atlanta. So she's ok!

Just saw pictures of the terrible destruction on our TV, here in Australia.

Glad Greta's OK.

Good thiing Greta wasn't in VA Beach...they got hit hard.

Thanks Cheryl, I was scrambling after the storms hit looking for her number! Actually VA Beach didn't get hit hard at all it was mainly in the Suffolk area and one smaller area south of Richmond. The tornado sirens went off twice here as the Suffolk storm came straight over us but it had weakened thankfully before crossing the sound to form another tornado up on the islands.My neuros office had their windows blown out of their building I called them to check on them this morning, so many homes and businesses lost but thankfully thus far no lives.

WOW!! That was some nasty Tornado damage. A bunch of people injured but noone killed...thank God.

Just praying our VA members are all ok. It's getting so scary; just too many natural disasters going on lately.

Oh, BTW DSSon just informed me that He and Dawn are transferring from HI to VA, this summer. I told him he could probably find a house, cheap, right now..LOL

Sally, I know you were kidding about housing being cheap right now. But VA is actually one of the states that housing is still horrendous in! What area are they moving to?

DSSon's Fiance Dawn is in the Army and being transferred to Norfolk, I think? The army pays..tee hee..:p

Greta has a house for sale...:D

Yeah so does th AF LOL we get about $1525 a month for housing but still have to pay a couple hundred out of pocket but we are only renting since we are moving on again in September...yeah forgot about Greta's house being for sale!

I spoke with my brother who is in VA Beach yesterday morning - he was fine but one of the ladies under him (he is Navy) was suppose to relocate yesterday - moving van was suppose to be there at 10 am but her house was under her neighbors house.... nothing left.

Yikes! Everybody okay? They're showing more bad action out there today!

Arkansas was hit hard. We were safe here. Lost the phone line most of the day, but that was my son's fault. He stayed online during the storm. I'm sure he lost his modem. I finally got the phones fixed. Otherwise we are fine. It missed us.

This has been the worst year ever for tornado's in this state. I'm sure everywhere else is getting it now. There is still 1 warning in the state. It's been going on since before I got up this morning.

The damage is horrible. 7 confirmed dead.

:hug: i'm glad you are ok day. what a horrible storm. it started up around dallas this morning and gathered strength as it went east. we had 2 tornados in canton, where they hold a huge outdoor flea market.

Northen Mississippi and eastern Tennessee are being hit hard now. I hope everyone stays safe and stays under cover. Kay and Tara's area look clear.

I just now read about the rash of Tornados in the southwest and the 7 deaths in Arkansas..:(
