I got a new buggy today!

I walked myself right into Rite Aid and plunked down $99.99 for this baby, and I think I'm going to like it. Now all I need is a cup holder, some kind of pouch with pockets, maybe a little flag...Bob says a foghorn :D . I want to spiff it up so it looks cool, not geriatric. Hmmm. Maybe a little tiny bumper sticker. What do you think? Where can I get all that cool stuff?

Koala77 05-03-2008 07:14 PM

Well done. I was going to suggest a sporty red one, 'cos that's what I have too.

Here's mine, they're very similar except mine was $200. I think I was robbed! :(

All you need now are big Learner Plates on it! :D

Try the places that sell bicycles for tiny tots to get all the bells and whistles type stuff. Small kids love to decorate their bikes.

AfterMyNap 05-03-2008 07:19 PM

I have an old-style bike bell on mine, it's really loud. It's the kind that goes, "vrinnnnng vrrrrrriiiinnnnngggg". Tre chic chic.

Blessings2You 05-03-2008 07:20 PM

OOH OOH (says Arnold Horshack) I want a bike bell, too!

Blessings2You 05-03-2008 07:21 PM

And training wheels

yeahbut 05-03-2008 07:43 PM

I am proud of you! very Nice.

Kitty 05-03-2008 11:11 PM

My Dad had an "Ooga" horn on his electric wheelchair!! A friend of his gave it to him - wish I knew where they got it. It wasn't very loud but it was funny when he blew it - got everyone's attention!! :D

Friend2U 05-03-2008 11:18 PM

Nice Ride!!!

The seat looks really soft and cumpfy...is it?

WELL DONE! YOU DESERVE THE COOLEST!!!

AZjanie 05-04-2008 12:24 AM

On another board one of the people wanted neat things to put on hers so I sent fuzzy dice and a dream catcher!

Mine has a bike horn and I am getting rear view mirrors too.

Blessings2You 05-04-2008 05:56 AM

I'm thinking of a bumper sticker that says:

How's My Driving? Call 1-800-Who-Cares

Hey, WAIDAMINNIT!!!! What am I going to do when it rains? I can't hold onto Speed Buggy with both hands AND hold an umbrella? Do I need to get a giant Brockabrella or what???

Kitty 05-05-2008 05:39 AM

Get one of those hats that has the umbrella on top. It's handsfree!! :D

Blessings2You 05-05-2008 05:50 AM

Yeah! That's what I mean, like Lou Brock used to wear during rain delays (back when you were a baby).

I'll have to figure something out. Other people do.

Kitty 05-05-2008 06:08 AM

Do what my Mom used to do - put a plastic grocery bag over your head and tie the handles together under your chin!!! We used to walk waaaaaay behind her when she did that!!! :D

AfterMyNap 05-05-2008 09:03 AM

Go for a good rainsuit with a hood! Or go completely crazy and just drive on rainy days.

DM 05-05-2008 09:26 AM

Kewl B2!! I think you definitely need streamers that attach to the handle grips. Now, that's classy! :)

Maybe one of those lil flags on a long pole to attach behind you, so we can find you in a crowd. :D

Twinkletoes 05-05-2008 10:01 AM

Waaaiiittt!!!! I wuz gonna say get a flag on the long pole, but HMS Highness beat me to it! Hummmpphttt!:p

Congrats 2U B2! Might be the best $100 you ever spent!

Hey, see if you can find one of those kids at the tech enrolled in automotive painting or an art class -- they'd be handy with an airbrush.

 Gosh, full of ideas this a.m.: wonder if they could take that airbrush a step further and make me look thin! :D And airbrush out my double chin and get rid of the eyebags. *calling tech's 911 number*

AZjanie 05-05-2008 04:35 PM

Racing stripes!!:D

Blessings2You 05-05-2008 04:41 PM

I like all those ideas!! I like the one my daughter had, too: make Bob walk beside me and carry the umbrella. :D He would, you know.

Blessings2You 05-05-2008 06:26 PM

OK, I have a plan. A semi-plan. I have a wonderful huge wind-proof umbrella. I think I can make an umbrella holder that clamps onto the sides of the buggy made with pvc pipe, tees, crosses, elbows, etc. I think it will be cheap, and I can boogie on down the road, nice and dry. Looking like a cross between Mary Poppins and a popcorn wagon.

SandyC 05-05-2008 06:34 PM

I say you bedazzle the wheels inside!

:ROTFLMAO:Oh come on!! I just got done cleaning up the coffee! :D:D

AfterMyNap 05-05-2008 07:16 PM

I can see it now.

Blessings2You 05-05-2008 07:18 PM

Well, other than the umbrella's the wrong color...

Girlie Girl 05-06-2008 07:33 AM

Good for you Kitty! and B2. You seem to have a great sense of humor about it which is key!

You will have to send pics if you make any "improvements" to your new wheels!

Love the new pic of you and your hubby too, Sandy! Is that a snake around your necks?

B2Y . . . good for you for making fun out of this. You are an inspiration.

Cherie

SandyC 05-06-2008 11:10 AM

Yes it is a snake. I think B2Y should get one for her new ride!
