Storms in Northern AR. Tornadic. Going north east. More coming in behind these.

Everyone be careful.

It's been a horrible year for tornado's.
The wind is blowing hard here, yet the storms are not even hear yet. Kinda skeery.

You be careful too day. I think of all of you when I see this. My brother lives near Tulsa and I heard they were slammed too. My sister said tonight will be the worst for them. I hate night storms. My brother is trying to get us to move to OK. I don't think it's going to happen with all the storms.

I am on the far outskirts of all this. On TV they are saying the storm has picked up sheet metal someplace because it's falling from the sky.
It must have picked up a bunch because they have been saying that for a while. :eek:
We had a lot of hail earlier, but no tornado... it's calm for now here.

So far it's above us. There are like 4 warnings in different area's right now.

Damage reports are already coming in.
They are saying tonight is suppose to be bad. They were saying earlier today "it's not if, but when they hit"

Many of these warnings are for the same area's that got hit hard last week.
My nerves are already shot. News is on simocast(sp?) They are all weather right now.

This is the worst year we've ever had.

I agree with Cindy. Don't forget to let us know when this thing passes, and that goes for others in the area too.

We're all "family" now, and we do tend to worry when we don't hear!

I was just on the WC, and they said that these storms will move east to the Atlanta area and the Carolinas, tomorrow....So, heads up, you peoples.

HA!! Right when I think we are safe. I noticed a little storm on radar that is just below us. Told DH that we might get some rain out of it.
Now they are saying that little storm is becoming a big storm and it's developing. If we are lucky it will miss us, but if it does, it will be headed straight toward DH's parents and sister's house. I'm hoping it doesn't develope.

Man these things are just popping up everywhere.

Those in Memphis, many of the storms are crossing the river.

I swear when I'm rich, I'm going to buy me a huge storm shelter. I'm gonna have a bed down there. Then when these things start in, I'm gonna just go sleep down there.

We here in SE Mo have already had round 1.
Hail and strong winds and lots of rain....but as Day said...its this one that is just behind this rain front here NOW that has me skeered to death.....

Its not going to be pretty.
We have company here tonight and we have had the boys (Jake and Justin) for a few hours....sissy just left to take them home and now the lightening and thunder are rolling back in.....
I just wanna go to bed and cover my head but I am way to uptight to sleep.

(rain is starting again)

Here in Georgia there's tornado watches out now but they're all way south of where I am. I'm northeast of Atlanta. I think the worst for us is supposed to be overnight into tomorrow morning unless they have changed the forecast.

Everyone please be careful. It does seem like we're getting more and more of these storms. Don't know if it's just because they can track and report them much better now or if there really is more bad weather.

All I know for sure is when I move to TN we are getting a storm shelter.

No more warnings in the state. Last one just went into Mississippi.

So far they are saying 7 counties were hit. Craighead county got hit with 3.
Another country said possibly 2. So that would be a total of 11.

Stutguart got hit hard. It hit the town. The news stations are just getting crews there. No electricity, but it was bad. They mentioned a biofuel plant was hit.
With it being dark, it will be hard to see until morning, the complete damage.

DANG, they are showing a middle school that was hit. Right behind it is a Nursing home,which they are evacuating at the moment.

I don't watch the TV anymore unless it's something for my boys. (And I like cartoons, too!) Been checking weather.com and it's covered all of TN and is creeping up on the mountains way west of Fort Moose (here in the Sandhills of NC).

I still have time to make some coffee before switching to Sentinel Mode.

Reading the news on the web... glad you are OK, and a quick prayer for everyone else.

The worst seems to be over for my area.....I hope everyone else west of me is OK. We got severe thunderstorms but nothing else. It's supposed to be very windy today - up to 30 mph in some areas.

We were under a tornado warning here in central Ohio that just ended a little while ago. Apparently there were reports of a funnel cloud just a little northeast of us. Had the sirens and everything.

What a fun weather season we're having this year!

We were awakened almost every half hour last night by our weather band radio. It went off with warnings of Tornado watches from 1:30 a.m. until 5:45 this morning. I didn't hear much except for some distant thunder. Michael said we had some rain last night, but I didn't hear a thing. It's very blustery out right now. I was out trying to help Michael in the yard, but the wind was too much for me. It is a lovely day today though.:)

Doesn't FFM live in or near Seymour? I just saw some nasty pictures from there on the internet. I think we are now getting the storms you guys had yesterday, under Tornado watch until 8pm.

I'm sorry I didn't check in this morning. Things were pretty much over for Arkansas after my last post, last night.

I've been busy with mothers day and haven't checked the board.
Has anyone heard from Kay since last night?

I haven't seen any news today. Only what I have read online.

I'm hoping things will calm down some. People here are sooooo weather weary. We've had tornado's, then ice, then two more rounds of tornado's.

I had a very busy weekend and just didnt make it on to check in...

We just ended up with some rain, lil hail 2 different times and major ,major winds...it was that way all day yesterday but it didnt keep me from getting my yard work done....:rolleyes:

My Gma just a few miles away had many limbs down and we were without power or phones for a couple hours yesterday morning....but nothing major in my neck of the woods......

Woodhaven....thanks for checkin in on me sweetie, I am actually about 150 miles SE from there and the storm systems were going either due east to NE most of the time....we just got a sciff of the effect..........But thanks for worrin bout me.......:wink:

I had to unplug my weather radio it was drivin me nuts ...lol..lol.....I just slept through most all of it.....The dogs howling at stuff all night was bad enough.....

We're having (or had) such gusty winds here. It's quieted down a bit this morning. There is widespread damage all over the south metro Atlanta area - probably about 60-80 miles south of me. Also west of me at the GA/AL line in Carroll County.

I just heard on the news that a woman was killed yesterday when a tree fell on her. This happened about 2 miles from where I live!! :eek:

THAT is what kept me worried. I am guessing that is what had our power and phones out...a tree on the lines somewhere. It is so calm and peaceful here at 5 am this morning....very cool (41) and the stars are shining bright......

Yes, it was!! I took my bird feeder off the hook it hangs on in the backyard 'cause I thought it was going to fly off and break the window!! The wind was upwards of 40 mph!!!

All our power and cable lines are underground in our subdivision and we still have power (never lost it). It's much calmer this morning. I wonder what the birds do during a windstorm like we had? They're all back out this morning eating - they must make their nests with glue!! :p

My MIL's windchimes are broke to peices and were all over the yard yesterday.....(I wont miss them lol lol)

I haven't talked to Becky but she sent me an email today. I thought the same thing Kitty when I saw the OK storms. Between her and my brother I was glued to the weather channel! My brother used to live in Bartlesville just east of Pichter. Scary stuff. He now lives in Jenks, just outside of Tulsa.
