Happy Birthday... Here's your lesion.

Hi everyone...

Just got back from pcp visit.

And yes it's my birthday... yuck....42...

Well he has said that they found a lesion ... in my corpus callum(sp)

He just wants to monitor for now, and have another MRI in 6 months.
He thought that they maybe had read it wrong...

I was thinking that they have read it right and had it wrong in the past... who knows.
He was asking me if i had a neurologist anymore..
I said no because they said there is nothing wrong with me...duh!!!

It is more of a validation for me that something IS going on... he then proceded to ask me how have i been feeling lately... etc...etc...

I'm feeling relieved , and also happy because it's my birthday!

Kinda weird though to be happy for a lesion...

Have a nice day everyone

I'll wish you a very happy birthday but will refrain from saying many, many more because birthdays are ok but you don't need any more lesions. Hugs, Jules

Happy Birthday! Hopefully there will be no more lesions in 6 months! I'll be 42 tomorrow AND it's also my one year MS diagnosis anniversary, Yay for me! Woo Hoo party time, LOL, sorta.

Happy Birthday, Cindy! I know this isn't what you wished for but oddly enough a dx or getting closer to one is sometimes a relief.

Happy Birthday Day! MHM :Birthday: Make a wish!

Sorry for the leison, but if it brings you closer to a dx, that's a good thing.

Happy, Happy Birthday! Sorry that they found a lesion and I hope you get closer to finding an answer.

Hmmm...I keep thinking about that old song...

"All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth"...

Except it keeps playing in my head as...

"All I want for my birthday is my two front lesions".

Doesn't sound quite as good as the original...

But I hope you had a great b-day.

Happy belated Birthday.

It sounds like they are getting closer to figuring this out, so that is a relief. Too bad the news came on your birthday, but finding the answer sounds like the present you needed most right now.

Now go buy yourself something nice cuz hubby probably didn't get it right anyway. :p ;)

Happy Birthday!!!

When is the last time you had an MRI? Since then did you have any sx? Did they do the MRI with contrast, and do you know if the lesion lit up (which would make it an active lesion? What about an LP, have they done one? If it is an active lesion, and you have sx, an LP may confirm, and you won't have to wait another 6 months!! May be time to take it to a neuro also to get it read if they think it was read wrong.

Good luck with everything!

So..you're 42 years YOUNG~!

Its like a little present..the news of the lesion..which I know is validation that something is going on !!!

Keep us informed !!

Take care and ENJOY YOUR DAY !!!

Warmly, Jan

I've had sx for about 7 yrs.
I've had, all the tests except lumbar puncture.
My old neuro said "there is nothing wrong with you" said he is "done " with me.
I went in complaining of leg tremors, he said that's not a "problem".

I do have a cyst on my pituitary gland which they are watching, it hasn't grown .
I guess i should be thankful for the cyst at least they'll monitor that along with the lesion.

My pcp keeps going back and forth as far as dx.

I've had tremors, vision issues, extreme pain in my legs, spasticity, numbness in my face .
I've also had trouble speaking at times which i stay in the sun too long.

So now at least i'll be monitored every six months.

I refuse to see the same neuro... he was an ***

In the beginning when i was complaining of all my sx, and all the tests came back negative, i had mentioned to my pcp about a lp .

He said "no" that an MRI is the most accurate way to dx MS.
I'm in Canada and our health care here sucks, long wait lists and shortage of doctors etc.
So i really have no other choice but to wait it out.

I really want an lp.

Thanks for the birthday wishes.

Hubby is out of town he has a HUGE dart tournament.... big payout if he does well.
