Tired and happy!
 

Char and I went on our road trip today. It was a gorgeous day! We went to the Penobscot Narrows Bridge first. The view is spectacular! Then we made our trip to Freeport to see the BIG boot!

Sounds like a fun trip!

I used to spend a lot of time in Portland, Maine on business.

I ALWAYS managed to get to the LL Bean store at least ONCE every trip :-)

I've been there! To that LLBean and left a lot of money there. Maybe you can find some of it for me!! I LOVE that store! And that big boot! Can't miss it!

I know the people in the GTG out in the midwest are having fun, but our Freeport was lovely too! WE had a lovely time and both got tired right out!

thanks for sharing the pictures! I'll be heading to Portland, ME in July to visit my grandmother and brother and nieces and nephews. Both my parents grew up in ME. I'm looking forward to the usual LL Bean trip!

Two mah-velous places to shop, Koala. Go to their dot.coms and see all the cool stuff. The L L Bean store in Freeport, Maine is their flagship store. My friend, my daughter, and my granddaughter made a pilgrimage there a few years ago. The people in Maine (Freeport, at least) are WONDERFUL!

The people in Maine ARE wonderful!... Especially Char and I.:D:p


I don't know how those folks in Freeport stay so nice either when they are overrun by hordes of tourists like they are.

They were in Freeport....just not Freeport MAINE!!!

I really wanted to go...was planning on it up until Tuesday. Flights were just not cooperating and I am just not bouncing back after this exacerbation.

Next time...DM has made me promise...and I keep my promises.
