New Here
Hi Everyone,
My name is Monique, I'm 33 and I was diagnosed with MS in Feb '08. I am the mother of three boys (9,7, and 4). My 9 yr old has Autism. I am originally from Mass. and currently live in Georgia. I was going to school for my second masters degree but dealing with a lot of symptoms so I don't know what I'm going to do. I just wanted to say hi to everyone :) I look forward to meeting everyone, take care.. Monique  |

Welcome, Monique!
Wow! College, 3 (I'm sure) active boys, AND MS? They'd be pouring me down the drain..:D Happy to meet you (though not happy at the reason).. |
Hi Monique! Welcome to the group!!
What part of Georgia do you live in? I'm in Georgia, too, about 45 miles northeast of Atlanta. http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/k...oupflowers.gif |
Welcome, and like someone else said we're always sorry for the reason.
Just a big warning about this group, never, ever have any liquids in your mouth while reading posts around here and the Stumble Inn. Many a keyboards have been ruined by liquids being spewed on keyboards from laughing so darn hard at some of the posts. |
Welcome to NT. Glad you found us. :Tip-Hat:

Welcome Monique! You will find this place to be such a great support system. Sounds like you might need it with all you have on your plate right now. Congrats on raising 3 boys and going to school while dealing with MS.
I am from MA! What part were you from? Welcome :grouphug: |
Hi
[QUOTE=herekitty1960;285202]Hi Monique! Welcome to the group!!
What part of Georgia do you live in? I'm in Georgia, too, about 45 miles northeast of Atlanta. I am in Madison, GA. So I have hopped from Northeast Mass to South Florida to RURAL GA. I really like it here in GA but I am terrified that the Georgia heat will really bring out the symptoms this summer so I have been hiding in my house with the a/c and fans on  |

Well.. I had symptoms 2 yrs ago. but had no clue what was wrong with me. Luckily when I started school in Aug. I was clueless and didn't have problems till Dec. and I scared my whole class when I had muscle spasms the second to last week and I thought I was having a stroke! I am from Peabody, Mass and my parents are still there. My mother is in some serious MS denial since, "no one in our family (but me) has it". Weird part my little brother had a bout of Guillian Barre strike him while he was in school. That was a long answer to your question  It is nice meeting you.. Monique |

As for your mom in denial...my mom was too. She always said "oh you just need to get to bed earlier." I think she is slowly getting it now. It has been 4 years for me since my dx. |
