Well, jest come on up and sit yerself down, here put yer feet up...don't matter ifn they hurt or not...just good to give em a rest!! Ya know I worked a lil everyday til I got my flower bed started...and jest lookie at that purty green plant!! Oh my Aunt Fannie's underwear...it ain't no flower, its a WEED!!

Ya know flowers gardens are a lot like people...ya got some with beautiful petals, some that are just green and don't bloom and then ya got some that remind ya of weeds! Everybody jest loves those lil ole bloomers with all those different colors, most like plants that just are green and keep giving off those nice O2 molecules...but nobody seems to like the weeds!!

I swear on Uncle Bill's motorbike something must be wrong with me...cause I've seen what most people call weeds and they have the most beautiful petals. Why, jest take a look at the dandelion...all nice white and fluffy. That ole weed has given more kids fun blowing em in the wind than a ride on a pony!! We have a plant growing here called wild mustard, weed to most people...but it has the most beautiful flower when it blooms!!

If you can stop calling them weeds, you might began to wonder why God made those weeds, and why they jest grow wild all over the place. Like Maypops...I love to see those plants, only problem is...weed killer has jest about done em all in...

Yep, people and flower gardens...one person's weed, another person's love of nature. I jest as soon be a bloomin weed as a bloomin rose...after all not all bloomin flowers smell purty now do they?:hug:

How's those feet feelin? I sho is a lil tired today, so you sit as long as you want. That fishin last week and all that driving and ridin, not to mention my new Boston Terrier chewing up paper while I was gone...bout done my body bad. lol

Oh I didn't tell ya bout Catfish...no not what I caught...my new adopted pet...couldn't let him go to the pound!! Why I was afeared for his well being...bestest Boston Terrier...now I have three dogs and a cat...

Not sure where the cat is...Well, you all jest sit and visit...that's what families do...its what keeps them together...

I might even tell ya bout Catfish when I rest up...

It shor is interesting how you compare a dandelion to a flower, Momma. I will second yer observation as my DD (5) picks them, along with purple clover, and proudly brings them to me while announcing, "Look, momma, I picked some flowers for you!" :Clever: At times, bless her :Heart:, she insists on putting them in a vase!

I never try to explain to her that the "flowers" are actually weeds, because if you really look at them closely, they are rather purty in their own way. And you could compare a dandelion's potent smell to a marigold's unattractive fragrance. ;)

The rabbits munch the dandelions in my yard, with a nice dessert of asian lilly flower buds. "Eats is eats", they say. ;) They even scarf the birdseed under the feeder and stretch out on the lawn yawning while I pull weeds. They nap in full view of the cat knowing they're safe here though not necessarily welcome. :eek:

Hi Momma! Here's some iced tea for everyone to cool down on the porch today.

I loved dandelions as a kid. LOL, never quite understood why no one else did or why I got those nasty looks when I blew the seeds around. :D

Even though it's a type of clover, I love buttercups. You know your are sweet if you hold it under your chin and the yellow color reflects, at least that's what we told each other as kids. ;)

Momma I love your analogy. I am always looking at the pretty little purple "weed" I have growing in my lawn and just hate to pull it up. I think I will keep it there so I can remember you. Thanks for the invite up on the porch. Can I bring some brownies?

I've been up since about 2:30am...I thought I would sleep until noon considering how bad the fatigue has been the last week or so, but noooo I had to wake up. I decided to just get up and do some cleaning, laundry...mop the floors, and will probably have my GS by eight o'clock. He wanted to come last night but I was just toooo tired. My DD is supposed to bring him on her way to work, school is out so he thinks this is his vacation spot!! lol

I have finally picked out the colors for my living room...a coffee bean and sage...more like light chocolate than a coffee bean. I am also going to use a lil bit of blue as accents...

Well, guess I been sitting on this porch long enough ...got to go do a lil more this and that. Oh Yeah, don't forget to send me pics of my new babies when they arrive...jest love that new baby smell. Did yall notice that when JMiller was born he smelt funny? lol :eek: Jest kiddin baby...you smelled just plum purty like a baby should.:hug:

Hi ya momma. That there porch sure does look invitin. I havent' sat up here in quite some time (scooch over Sass, hmmmm you wanna share your tea with me)

Aw I just love swingin on the porch swing and lookin at all the patches of yellow dandelions.

We used to put the dandelions under our chins and ask "do you like butter" if the yellow reflected on your chin and it looked yellow then you liked butter.

We also sang a song "Momma had a baby and her head popped off"! Then we would pop off the head of the dandelion.

Man we were so sweet and innocent back then. Hey momma, I smell Lilac over here. hmmmmm I love the smell of lilac on a warm spring day.

Oh, Momma... You know I was just funnin' with you.
