Thank you Twink. :) I'm sure you all had a ball, and I can't wait to hear your stories.

The photo turned out really well, but I thought you didn't know how to post on line?????

Kitty 06-01-2008 05:07 AM

I must admit that you look much prettier without that croc to detract from your good looks Twink. :D

.......and...........

Your DGS looks adorable. He's nearly as cute as mine http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i2...apx/smiley.gif

AfterMyNap 06-01-2008 08:08 AM

Great picture, everyone looks so good! Are you sure there were people with MS?

Bring on the rest! We want more! Was it fun??

mom23angels 06-01-2008 08:46 AM

The picture looks great, you guys look like you had a good time. I can't wait to hear any stories ;) Now.. I have to wonder when there will be a South (or Georgia) GTG.. :)

Monique

Blessings2You 06-01-2008 08:47 AM

It's a cayman. Careful, she's REALLY sensitive about that...:D JK

PolarExpress 06-01-2008 09:48 AM

First of all, Congrats on getting the picture on here!!! :D
Looks like you guys had a great time, and, not to be selfish or pushy or anything, but your gonna have more pictures for us, aren't you?

viseeu 06-01-2008 09:55 AM

Nice picture, Twink!! Thanks for sharing with us:)

Taffy 06-01-2008 10:35 AM

Thanks for sharing the pic! What a nice looking group.

So what's the dirt on everyone?:D

Earl 06-01-2008 11:21 AM

It was a blast, I love the GTG's and look forward to more of them. Meeting Cyn and Twink was too fun. Polar opposites. Cyn is a very gentile and demure personality while twink is like a hit of speed chased with a double espresso thrown in for taste.:eek:

Our friends (joy and Rick) had never experienced such a time and was good for Rick since he is 2 years post diagnosis. Look forward to them joining the boards soon.

SallyC 06-01-2008 11:59 AM

WooHoo!!! Nice to see all of you in person (so to speak).. Whuh ja do, where'd ya go and who'd ya see.

Nice porch, Twink, is that yours?

Twinkletoes 06-01-2008 12:25 PM

Whuh? *rubs sleep from eyes* You mean it wasn't a dream??? *scrolls up to picture that actually got posted* (Thanks to DSIL) Neener neener to all those with so little faith! Lol! :D

Wow! It really happened! Because Earl is such a pain in the drain, we had to go with Plan C: Meet at Famous Dave's in Mesa. I mean, who among us (Except Earl) doesn't like Cheesecake Factory????

But, other than that little glitch, we all got along famously at Famous Dave's.

Well, until we were all in the parking lot and had to endure Earl and Ms. Earl pulling out in their shiny, black droptop T-bird! Sheeesh. Embarassed to get in the Taurus after that. :o

Yes, I agree with Earl (prob. the only time) that Cyndi is a very gentle and lovely soul. Not shy, just soft-spoken. Very pretty and pretty tiny, she ordered a huge strawberry shortcake for dessert and divided it into 4 servings to share with me and my family. She was very kind to my 9yo DGson and made cute conversation with him.

Mr. & Mrs. Rick met on eBay ** oops ** I mean eHARMONY and were married early this year by Pastor Earl! They are expecting their first child in November. I imagine after having met me, they'll want to name it Twinkletoes.

The foursome (The Ricks and Earls) was a good group and lots of fun. Earl and Rick became friends at a youth summer camp where they both served as counselors. I tell you what, after having read Earl's occasional health updates on this board, it was so great to see him walking after his back surgery, albeit with arm crutches. So glad I no longer have to mentally picture him in a W/C. ;)

FYI, when dSIL gets back from church I will be posting some pics of my cute little 1 week old granddaughter. My DD in the pic had a C-section on May 22. She and her family bring so much joy to this Grandma! I am supposed to be here helping them for the week, but instead got served strawberries and cream in bed, and then French toast! First class treatment!

There were actually supposed to be 2 more ladies in attendance. Bad communication with one and still a mystery with the other. Hope to know more before the day is over. Praying tkrik is okay.

Stay tuned for the next episode of The Adventures of WandaLost. :D

Congratulations B2Y! You have just earned your way into the Bonus Round. Okay, for a free chicken dinner, "What country was WandaLost in when the cayman picture was taken?" Hint: Country's flag is featured on Twink's hat.

Nope, I live in Utah! That's Famous Dave's porch in Mesa.

Nope. We are a restless bunch and that was the best we could do. We plan on having another GTG (I hope) at the end of June when I return.

Yabbit, you want the news and gossip, you should plan on coming next time so you can get it first-hand. :p

You're right, mom23angels: there definitely should be a GA GTG. There are quite a few folks in that area, so you should at least be able to get half a dozen. The Bird, Momma's Kids, ummmmm, going from memory here *blank*

Yep, it was really fun, especially when we got to hear from a certain MSer in Michigan! Too bad Earl couldn't have set up a virtual visit with you on the IMac or IChat or whatever. FYI everyone, Earl and AMN look SO GOOD that they like to actually see each other when they have their frequent computer chats. :D

Awwww, your Grandson is beautiful, Koala. When this Gson was born, he was in Primary Children's Hospital 10 weeks. He was born with gastroschisis, where the intestines and sometimes stomach and kidneys are protruding through a hole in the abdomen. The docs had to figure out how to get them back in and stitch him up. Weren't sure he was going to make it for a little while, but he is doing absolutely fine now and loves his 2yo sister and brand new sister.

:)You look beautiful Rochele. It looks like everyone had a great time.
Thanks for sharing.

Me too. Very nice people.

Geez, Earl. And to think: I pale in comparison to your description of AMN! I love that she had you speaking to complete strangers: she would grab anyone who looked interesting (i.e.: sporting tattoes, piercings, etc.) and drag them over to Earl for introductions. :D

Well, I'm just so hurt that you didn't remember where I am from......http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/k...ty1960/sad.gif

:p:p

Aarcyn 06-01-2008 03:58 PM

hmmm...things I learned about the people at the luncheon.

A lot has already been covered but I will try.

Joy is pregnant, baby is due in November. She had a broken finger. Added a new meaning to the toilet humor joke "Pull my finger.";)

No one from the NRA approached our table and shot Dave (Earl). I guess being a pastor has its perks.:D

Twink got BBQ sauce on her sleeve. I immediately thought of the Tide commercial and wished I had come prepared with that little laundry stick, sir yes sir.

The best part of my meal was dessert, the strawberry shortcake. Rochelle's DGS was VERY cute. I asked him to come over to my side to select what he wanted from the dessert. ZOOM!! He was right there. So sweet and so well behaved. Remembered to say thank you right away. He won my heart.

tkrik 06-01-2008 11:51 PM

Hey Twink, I was there. Can't you see me?

PolarExpress 06-02-2008 05:02 AM

I'm amazed.. Your daughter looked great for having a C-section so recently! I wasn't walking completely upright for at least 3 weeks after my son was born (I still threaten to show him the scar when he gives me a hard time..He's 17 now, and straightens up right away then :D)..I'm looking forward to the baby pix!

DM 06-02-2008 08:18 AM

What a great picture! (love the smiles) Aren't GTG's fun?

Gotta say Earl~~ Your'e standing really gave me chills. You Rock!!!!
That's just a great thing to see. :)

Glad you all had a good time and thanks for the pic, Twinks!
