My own little reality show

Alright, it's not a reality show. But my daughter and her two kids are coming up on Sunday and leaving on Tuesday. Trinity is almost 7 and is now a 2nd grader and Ellie will be 2 in November and quite a personality. Then my youngest daughters husband is home for his 3 week leave from Iraq. So I will have my whole family, minus one son in law who couldn't get off work, here for a weekend! We don't eat at home that much and will probably eat out most of the time they are here. But Monday night I just want my girls and I to get in the kitchen and cook. She wanted to treat her Dad to a nice Bbque buffet for an early Father's Day but I think it will be so nice just to have everyone around our kitchen table again. It doesn't happen very often.

So that's my own reality show!

Well they have come and gone:) Smile for the come and double smile for the gone!!!!! I love them to death but was so glad to see the car drive off. When they left I was absolutely exhausted but wouldn't have changed anything. I still would have played with the baby just as much, picked her up and did everything. I will just be out of commision tomorrow. It didn't help that as they left I also left for my phototherapy and spent 6 minuttes in that ****** light box.

When the oldest was born and then growing up, she was so much easier than the second. Trinity was always little, stayed by your side more and was just easier to take care of. Ellie is a different story. The world is hers to explore and you just have to keep up and go with her. And she is going to explore it to the fullest. She was born about 1 pound heavier than her sister and is a chunk. Plus her sister got a nice going away present from school. A nice head of lice!!! So her Mom had to take quite a bit of time taking care of maintence treatment while they were here. She pretty much took care of the problem before she came. But I had to keep the little one occupied while Mom was dealing with the other. Trinity entered her terrible twos when she was almost 3. Ellie is 19 months old and has been in the terrible twos for several months now! But her favorite thing to do, besides eating is to giggle and laugh.

In addition to all the dealing with the kids, well enjoying them, my cat HATES them. So she has to stay locked up in my bedroom the entire time. For the first time, I let her jump on my bed during the night and sleep. So my sleep was a little disturbed. Now the cat just looks at me like I am her jailer. She will sit on my husbands lap but not mine yet.
