Post Upgrade: A noticeable tweak needed

Not to put any pressure on anyone, yet thought you may wish to know, in case it's not something that's jumped off the pages at anyone ... :)

... the thank you button in the Tulip theme is MIA.

Here's its properties:

A bit of a tweakster later in relocating will do the trick .

AfterMyNap 06-08-2008 07:43 AM

This is true in the Spring theme as well, but we also may be seeing some browser issues. I'm using Safari on a Mac and the button works, it's just missing the art.

i think we wore him out yesterday. :p

ty bobbi.

Chemar 06-08-2008 07:50 AM

yes, Doc is still working on fine tuning the themes etc so it would be best to wait a few days before reporting any problems or needed tweaks :)

Cindy, the Thanks on Spring is there, it just isnt a big yellow button like the others...check to the right bottom

DocJohn 06-08-2008 09:54 AM

Okey dokey, I went and did all the thanks buttons that were needed and you should see them show up in your new favorite theme. Sorry for the delay on them. I also made a few other minor tweaks in the spreadsheets with issues I found and that have been brought up...

So, if you find anything else that isn't working right, please post it here. Thank you!

As always, I know that all of you have many choices about where to spend your time online, and appreciate that you choose to spend some of it with us. Thank you!! :)

Hi Doc,
The only tweek I'd like to see, if it's possible, is for the avatars. I have tried some (moving kind) and it says they are too big. These are avatars that cannot be resized. It would be nice if we could make the size requirement just a tad bit bigger to use some of the neat choices out there!!

Thanks for listening :)

I'm having problems with the quick reply button...won't open. Also, I can't change the font size and color or use any of the smilies. I am using the Teal Black...???

Log out, clear your browser history, and log back in. See if that helps.

Screen shot of the "quick reply icon" in the lower right hand corner of the Teal/black skin. Click on that and see if that works.

In the text box, in the lower right hand corner, there is a little icon for "post quick reply", click on that and you should be able to post in the quick reply box below.

It's a little arrow.

Try one of the other skins and see if it's just the teal/black one.

tamiloo 06-08-2008 03:16 PM

I went to the spring skin and I have no problemoz...I do miss the black skin...was easy on the eyes....:)

here is the link to fix even moving avatars. makes any type of picture smaller. works awesome for GIF.

amn is really good at it. :D

DocJohn 06-08-2008 06:55 PM

Can you give me an idea of the size of avatar you're looking for so I can make the change?

sugarboo 06-08-2008 07:22 PM

Hi Doc :D
I have two that I've saved to use. I just retried them and got different comments on each.

One said: Limit is 80x80 and the picture was 83x83, so just a tad too big for the system.

The second one I tried said: Size limit of 19.5 KB and I tried to do one with 39.1 KB. The second one might be a bit too much to ask for.

Anyway, if it could be increased a bit, it would make it easier so that we don't have to resize so much. I do have a program that resizes (not moving ones tho). I'll check out the site that curious posted too :)

Do you ever sleep? ;)

I tried it but it froze the action :confused:

Maybe I need to work with the program some more?

Good resizer though, I like it better than the one I have on my other PC :)

Look at my "PROFILE" picture of the dragon blowing fire....this is the kind I'm wanting to use....
Maybe its the user and not the site <GRIN!!>

Thanks

DocJohn 06-09-2008 06:17 AM

Okay, I bumped up the avatar limits to allow 85x85 pics up to 30k (40k seemed a bit too much...). Hope that helps! :)
