Help... please... prayer...healing thoughts... please.
 

Please... if you would. I am needing help sending up prayer.... or asking for healing thoughts/words....


I just received a phone call from a dear friend (her name is Chris) in Germany.

She was in an accident where she was using toilet bowl cleaner and the chemicals exploded in her face causing severe deep burns to her face and eyes. She has no sight in her left eye and very limited "foggy" vision in her right eye. It is unknown right now if she will ever have any improvement in her vision.

I could really use assistance.... I'm new at this and as best as I am trying I can't do this alone.

It doesn't look like you need assistance to pray for your friend. Your heart is already there, so go ahead and let it flow. It won't matter if your words are not in order - God listens to our hearts. :winky:

I agree with KathyM . . . any time you cry out in prayer, I believe a million other prayers join with yours. At any rate, adding her to the prayer list. . . .

This has been a difficult day for me... I feel helpless as the miles prohibit me rushing to my friend's side.

Abby, you're NEVER alone when you have God. You and Chris also have our prayers.

An old boss of mine had that happen to her and she made a full recovery with a little time. Keep the faith, and trust Him.:hug:

Sending up a prayer for your friend. I also want to thank you for this story even though it has ended badly. I will be sure to be more careful when using cleaners in the toilet. I can't tell you how many times I have splashed chemicals cleaning the toilet.

God bless her and let her sight return, that it just be temporary scars that will heal and diminish with time. :hug::hug::hug:

Hey ABS! Just wondering if you'd heard any news yet? Keeping your friends in my prayers. You take care of yourself, too!! :hug:

I spoke with my friend via internet phone a few hours ago.

She has been home for a few days. She still has no sight in her left eye and very fuzzy foggy vision in her right eye.

Visiting nurses come in 3 or 4 times a day to put drops in her eyes that are supposed to help with scarring and "possibly" clear up the damage from the chemicals.

Chris's spirits are good. She has some type of program on her computer that reads anything she has on her computer to her. She has even figured out that she can order groceries from her computer and the store near her will deliver them to her door.

Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts of healing. They are greatly appreciated!!!

I will keep you all updated as things progress.

Chris is adjusting to her current limitations rather well, it seems?:D
This must be a rough adjustment to make right now. I am thrilled she has so much strength and courage (and help) right now!:D

I just wanted to thank you all for your healing thoughts and prayers for my friend Chris.

I received an email from her today....

She is going to be receiving a corneal transplant. At this time it is not known when or if it will be one or both eyes.

Chris seems to be in very good spirits and is adapting quite well. She has figured out that she can play certain video games without actually having to see what is going on.

Please keep Chris in your thoughts and prayers.
I will update you all as I learn more.

I know having a good friend like you Abbie helped with things probly more then you think. I have been "wondering" ...Praying in my own way for a good bit of time ..all of us have and all of us will keep doing just that. Keep us updated when you can...I think a "Happy Ending" isnt that far away...I pray for just that. ! !
