So tired
I could just fall over! :thud: I don't get it, I have done nothing to cause me to be so tired. Last night I started feeling like I was dragging my feet and I was starting to feel wore out. I went to bed about 10 and slept til almost 1 this afternoon! I've had to force myself to stay up, if I close my eyes I'll be gone again! Maybe I'll take a provigil and a shower and make myself stay awake until bedtime tonight. I just hate to though, I mean if there's some reason why my body is wanting me to rest shouldn't I give in to it?
 |
my motto is if i am dead tired i rest the house and kids are all old enough to handle it themselves, unfortuanately not all of us have older kids, take a nap set the alarm get a few extra hours sleep, dont take the provigil so late in the day u will be up late, be careful suzy rest rest rest
|
gee Suz! mebbe it is juz part of the MS fatigue stuff? unless you got sumfin else going on, like sinus or cold or infection? IDK what the answer is
I have days I'm lacking energy, but seldom want to sleep, just don't want to "do" anything. Here, have some http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b5.../CHOCOL116.gif |
Is the heat getting to you, maybe? That might be exacerbating the fatigue.
Anyhoo, I'd vote for a nap. |
Sounds pretty MSie to me, Suz. Heat and humidity are my sworn enemies, they turn me into a puddle of mush. Even sunshine through a window in the AC can overheat me.
You are probably right, for whatever reason, your bod is telling you to rest. I hope it doesn't last too long, it's maddening! |
Ya know, Suz, even though I am in A/C all day, I know when it's hot outside, because I have nooooo energy. I swear, the H&H seeps in through the rafters.
Take a cool shower and take a nap. Ice water helps too. Feel better.. |
It's currently 95 in GA.. holy moly. I should go impress my kids by frying an egg on the driveway. Even though I'm in a/c now I took the troops to Walmart to buy daddy some father's day cards & a gift. I wasn't too tired but made myself take a nap so I can last till my Celtics play tonight!

Everyone has given you great advice and suggestions. So, I'm just sending you some cyber:hug:'s.

I vote for the nap and I hope you took one!!!
|
Moose's rule of thumb: If I'm tired and know the boys won't put the cat in the microwave (again), I sleep.
Set the alarm for a 1 hour or so nap. Because sometimes the provigil just ain't enough.:o And trying to stick to a routine with sleep schedules helps as well. Go to bed the same time each night, try to get up same time in the mornig. And suzy... that icon with the ball still cracks me and my sons up. That usually helps with a boost of energy. :) But that's just me... |
Thanks everyone! I did go back to bed....slept almost 4 more hours! LOL I have to give kudos to dh for not being upset when he came home to find I hadn't done anything but sleep all day!
I now feel like I've gotten the rest I need and am cheering the Astros on! Y'all are the greatest! :grouphug: |
That's great - you go sleep and your dh wasn't upset! Oh and you get to cheer on the Astros to boot!
|
Glad you are feeling better! You understands our crazy bodies?
Hugs! |

I hope you get some rest!:( |
Hi suzyq:
Days like that are not fair, it seems as if we are sleeping our lives away. School is out in a few weeks and I don't know how I am going to keep my feet under me either. Sometimes I can push through, sometimes I can't. Guess you have to let your body run things for a while. Hope you feel perkier soon! |
Thanks everybody! :grouphug: I am feeling better today. I can't believe I slept almost 23 hours from Monday night until yesterday!
|
Suzy - That's great that you are feeling better today. Do you feel rested and more energized? If so that is a good sign as it means that you only needed sleep and rest and that there is nothing underlying going on. For that I am very happy for you.

I do feel like I'm more rested, not dragging around like I was. It's been so long since I've felt "normal" I just go by feeling better. I'm thinking I just needed to rest my body (and mind). |
I was going to start a new thread about the fatigue attacking me, but this thread addresses how I feel.
I began working out again on Monday after many weeks of working out in the yard to get it ready for my son's wedding. I worked out for 3 days, and also ran my in laws around. The heat has been getting to me more and more as the heat and humidity have climbed. I've been lying around every afternoon, napping. My energy level has been really low. Well, today was the worst. I got home from taking my in laws shopping, and was so tired I lay down for a short nap. In the late afternoon I took the dog for a walk. It is in the 90s. My right leg began dragging more than usual. I felt as if I wasn't going to make it home...and we only went for a half mile walk! When we got home, I laid down again, and haven't felt right at all. My back is spasming off and on all week, even as my legs have calmed down a bit. I really don't know how to deal with this any more. It scares me. Added to that is the crabbiness/weepiness, and I'm so tired of not getting anything done. Whaaa...:Sob: |

 Me too! I hate when I start something and can't finish, or even worse want to start something and don't have the energy to! Hope you can get some good refreshing sleep and feel better soon. Don't try to do to much and certainly be careful in this heat! |
I've just resigned myself to staying indoors all summer. I've tried to go out in the middle of the day and just cannot handle the heat and humidity.
If I need to do something I have to do it early in the morning or after sunset. I feel like a vampire!! But, I know what the conditions outside will do to me so I just try my best to avoid them if possible. I've also started drinking lots of extra water. Keeps me running to the restroom and interrupts my naps but it seems to help me not feel so lethargic. |
