Cruddy, cruddy day
Here's one more rant. Thanks for humoring me and reading it if you do. I know I will feel much better after I have finished this.
I just realized a moment ago that this would have been my 13th wedding anniversary; maybe this is some sort of karma gone wild. I absolutely abhor my ex and divorcing him was a wonderful thing to do as he had a penchant for beating me up, starting on our honeymoon. Today, I am waiting for some of my students to come back from a class elsewhere in the building. I wait 5, 10, and at fifteen minutes call to see what the deal is. The other teacher just HAD to keep them over even though we run on a strict time schedule. He wanted to do some flashcards! Are you kidding me? I need my kids when they're supposed to be there so I can get them ready for finals. WTF? Flashcards for music class? This was his last class and he needed to keep them over for flashcards! He always (and yes, it is always) goes over his alloted time but today it really chapped my rear. This was the beginning. Not to mention that this is day 5 of ridiculous heat in the 90s and unrelenting humidity in central NY. I can barely walk and I am a sweaty, miserable beast. We have no AC at school. My three fans hardly help at all. I left my moonroof open this morning and lo and behold, we get a freak storm with tornado warnings. Of course, I am not watching TV to learn of this impending doom so my car is now full of water. Nothing like driving home with wet pants! I get home and call my neuro's office. This is an adventure in itself. I kid you not when I type that I have to call them all the time. If I waited for them to call, I'd be in a bad way. I've been off Rebif for about 7 weeks now because of liver enzyme levels. The latest numbers were still above normal but dropping. My PCP ordered that blood work, told me the numbers and promised to fax or call the neuro. PCP gives the okay to restart Rebif. Finally, on last Thursday, after 2 weeks of calling the NP at the neuro's, she finally calls back. The week before when she told me to call she went on vacation. No one in the office tells me that when I call (because she told me to call her and get some information)! Doh! The nuero's office doesn't work on Fridays so I am desperate to get that call from the NP so we can discuss the numbers and the Rebif issue. I have everything written down so I don't forget anything. She calls me last Thursday while I am napping. I am more alert than she is. I can tell she doesn't have my chart. I am giving her information that she should already know. I ask if we can restart R, she says yes. Yippee. She promises to mail me a script for new blood work in 3 weeks, a new Rebif script because my old one has expired, a new script to start Ritalin because Provigil doesn't work anymore, and a script for my Klonopin. Three times I have to remind her of everything I need. I make the huge error of making a call to someone else while a nurse from the neuro's office calls and leaves a message to call back. They are now closed. Today is Tuesday, no scripts have come in the mail. I called the neuro's office back yesterday to see what the nurse wanted. No one knows. She doesn't call me back. Today, no call from them so I call again. The problem is that they won't release the scripts until they get the blood work faxed from my PCP. He was supposed to do that last Thursday. He didn't. I call his office and ask them to please send the info ASAP. The neuro's office is like this all the time. Never once did they say what they needed. How am I supposed to know the numbers aren't there? The NP said she was mailing out the scripts last Thursday. Grrrrr. I come home and my sun porch is also flooded. This includes the cat litter box. The stray litter is now everywhere, wet and slimy, the box is flooded, and it smells bad. It is now all cleaned up but that took a while. I have since showered and made some dinner and brownies and didn't burn myself. Stupid stuff, I know but it seems like the camel's back was broken today. Arghhhhhh! The one nice thing which made me come here and write a tome was that someone here sent me a message to be their friend. Even if it was an accident, I don't care. I was so doggone delighted to see that someone wanted to be my friend. I cried for a bit. Friends are good all the way around. Weebs37  |
aww the friendship invite i bet was nice sorry you had a crappola type of day, hope ya feel better venting, which by the way is what your car needs too lol sorry i have done that twice, and once the temps dropped below freezing so i drove to work on a block of ice, talk about freezing my.......................... relax try to find your karma:hug::hug::hug:

|
Quick, someone go get Weeble a glass of wine. *hands glass to Weeble* There you go, just take a sip.:D
My goodness, you did have a cruddy day! Actually, a downright sh*tty day! I feel for you. I am glad you were comfortable enough to come on here and vent. Between that and a good nights rest, you'll be better tomorrow. |
Holy carp, Weeb! That is a crappy day, the cat litter thing alone would have done me in.
It's good that you came on to vent, we all do it and we all feel better afterward. I know it's no consolation, but I've done the roof thing too.:o And, like Frank, have driven home in a snowdrift with a side of buttcicle more than once.:o:o:o The good news is, tomorrow is a new day, fresh with no problems or mistakes in it!:) |
Phew, I got exhausted just reading about your day.
Please know that you have plenty of people who care about you here, even if some of us haven't got into the groove of sending out friend requests. That music teacher reminds me of my daughter's French teacher. She buggers around all class, then makes the kids stay later to get everything done. Meanwhile, there are a long line-up of parents sitting there waiting for their kids. Since she "always" does this, maybe you could mention something to her. Cherie |
Have you ever had brownies with Cool Whip (non-dairy topping) on them?? Mmmmmmm!!!
(looking in cabinet for box of brownie mix, and wondering if I still have the bowl of frozen Cool Whip in the freezer) I've been having a bad week (or three) with the vision problems, but it sounds like you had a really carppy day. I, myself, just made myself paranoid as heck a little while ago. I found TWO ticks on me. One was inside my right shoe (not actually ON me) and the second one was on my right leg, crawling up my leg. It was red, and looked really small, and just creepy! I didnt get a chance to save the first one, but I removed the second one from my leg with a piece of Scotch tape, and saved it in a Ziploc just in case I need to send it off somewhere. (after reading about ticks and Lyme while I was waiting to get diagnosed with MS, has me scared to death of those little beasties! |
I'm so sorry about your carpy day! Don't you think that we should get paid by our doctor's offices for doing their work for them :)! I think I'm gonna start keeping track of my time and send out a couple of bills :D!
|
You know you have friends here, Weeble (even if some of us are a little slow in figuring out all the new stuff on here)..
Here's to a better day tomorrow! http://dl8.glitter-graphics.net/pub/...ggxi6cjm1b.gif |
Sorry for your carpy day, Weebs..:( I hope you will forgive me for giggling a little. The cat box thing was not funny, though..
Like Scarlett says..Tomorrow is another Day..:D I sent you an invite, did you get it? |
Yes today was so terrible that kids were getting sick from the heat in school. I had 2 fans and it was not enough. But your day was way worse than mine, you poor thing! You must work in a safe place to leave your moonroof open.
God bless you, that you could still go home, make dinner, and brownies to boot. I just did left overs! You are a real trooper. |
Wow! What a day! Glad that one is over! I want to smack that music teacher for ya!
Tomorrow will be a new day---full of promise! I am your friend Weebs, (poor thing is stuck with us) |

Well punkin, it sounds like you had your hands full today. I am glad a warm hug of friendship was waiting for you.
I agree. brownies and cool whip sound great! dont stress about the Rebif. Take the break. Give your liver a rest, and allow it to be prepared for the new beginging. Take the week off! Be happy it was rain water that wet your pants, and not pee pee! I have a friend that got stuck in major traffic and had to pee in her coffee cup!!! she didnt have a skirt, and well...i just gotta say it wasnt funny, but I laughed till milk squirted out my nose, from the way she told it. Now, go put some swim fins on the kitty cats and teach them how to swim. hang in there. |
So sorry about your carpy day.:( Its a new day now, how
is it going??????? |
Sending you this award for #l for the day
http://dl4.glitter-graphics.net/pub/...ho1fedewn4.gif Wow! Glad you made it through. Hope today is going to be a better day for you. Jappy  |
aw weeb,
i'm so sorry that all this stuff is happening to you. it seems no one anymore operates on a satisfactory level and it's so tiresome and stressful. you're dr's offices sound like they're working on overdrive and need a major office manager overhaul. why don't you show up at your pcp's office and get a copy of the labwork in person. then take it over to your neuro's and pickup the rx's. that is is you don't have to work m-f. the wk/e is almost here. hang on girl. |
Thanks everyone! I did get some invites and I haven't added everyone yet. Will do so soon, promise.
Today was cooler so that was nice. Called the neuro's office and they claim that they don't have the blood work yet. Prior to that I had called my PCP's office and they had faxed it last night. The neuro's office took a message and was supposed to call me back. But they didn't. AGAIN. This is driving me nuts. How difficult can this be? Grrrrr I will call the neuro's office again tomorrow as another last ditch attempt as they don't work on Fridays. Sigh, this makes me nuts but things are better! Thanks again all, Weebs37 |
I would pick up the blood work papers myself and bring them to the neuro if they both weren't an hour away and closed by the time I could get there.
It's more like I am dealing with lots of incompetence. My car seats are all dry today, too. Weebs |
sorry weeb. all you can do is keep trying.
maybe ask to speak to the office manager. the buck in the office stops with them. you might get more help. |
I'm glad today was a better day for you and it was cooler out to boot.
If your PCP received them, is it possible that you can have your PCP call the neuro's office? Some times, in fact many times, a call from one dr to another is more well received. I am certain the neuro, his/her nurse, and office staff will not jerk around another dr. Just a thought. |
Wow, what a lousy day!:hug::hug::hug: Nobody deserves that much in one day. I hope tomorrow will be a lot better!
|
Oh man! You need a BIG
|
well 2 days now and I hope you are beginning to feel better, Weebs! that was some yucky day :( Glad you vented about it, cause I think letting those things out keeps the bad feelings from hurting our bodies more!
you've gotten lots of :grouphug: and you know you can always share here! What a wonderful bunch of shoulders to lean on! You made it thru that day!!! :You-Rock: oh... and it never hurts to have a little http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b5...gchocolate.gif http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b5.../give_rose.gif |
