I feel like crud!

:( I am just going to vent / whine for a couple of minutes.

My arms are so dang tired they feel like I've been lifting weights. Just clicking the mouse is wearing me out!

My eyes feel like they are bouncing two different ways.

I keep falling asleep at my desk. There hasn't been a day in the last week that I have been able to stay awake all day at work. It would almost be worth getting fired to go home and sleep!

I know this is probably all the after effects of moving my Grandma, but it's been a week and a half now and I'm tired of feeling this way.

OK whine is over - you may all resume your day.

SandyC 06-23-2008 11:13 AM

Oh Holly, it's too bad you couldn't have taken some time off after grandma got there. Do you think you could talk to your boss and ask for an extended weekend this week?

hollym 06-23-2008 11:32 AM

We have had so much going on at the office that it was hard to just get the time off that I had. Now that things are slowing down a bit, I am going to look at schedules and try to figure out some vacation days here and there.

Taffy 06-23-2008 12:10 PM

If we could only master sleeping with our eyes open....:D

Hugs to my Holly!

MSacorn 06-23-2008 12:37 PM

Holly
I feel your pain. You must be exhausted and to work on top of everything.

I hope you get some time off, maybe half days for a while. Feel better.

's

Do not get her started on Johnny Depp. We'd just straightened that out that he is MINE.

:)

That sure makes for a long day when your'e so tired. I know when I used to work and would be so tired, it seemed like the clock never moved. Hopefully, you get a good nights rest and feel better tomorrow.

Take care holly!

Oh and Cathy??? I am not giving up Johnny w/o a fight!!

hollym 06-24-2008 08:50 AM

What's that phrase? No rest for the weary!

Well, Grandma was having a bad day yesterday and I panicked and took her to the ER. She was very confused and really couldn't walk. It was such a quick dramatic change in her that I was afraid she was having a stroke. Tuurns out it was a bladder infection and she was very dehydrated. After some IV fluids, she perked up. We went home at 2 AM! Hopefully with the Cipro, she will be on her way back to her normal.

Now I'm really tired in addition to the fatigue. Only people with a chronic illness like MS will understand that line. Normal people think tired and fatigue are the same!!

I think I'm too tired to paint my eyelids and definitely too shaky to do a believable job!

About Johnny Depp, I believe that I gave up my claim to him to Brain in exchange for exclusive rights to Andy Garcia.

Oh and forget about pulling a George Costanza, I'm more obvious than that. I just fall asleep sitting up in my chair or slumped over on my desk. Nothink quite as startling as sleeping with your head down on the desk next to the phone when it rings. You have to wipe the drool off you cheek / desk before trying to answer the phone in an "awake" voice!

Thank you everyone for sympathizing with me and also for making me laugh. I needed the laughs!

Someone needs a "Be Nice To Holly" day. Maybe dh needs to round up everyone including Grandma for a nice, full-day outing. You just need some quiet, missy.

Amen! Since I'm dreaming, I will add that I could use a professional organizer to straighten out my house now that I have added a new person. Then, I need a one time maid service to really get the house deep cleaned. I also need a landscaper to get the yard whipped into shape. All of this could take place while I am at the spa getting a massage, facial, manicure and pedicure!

OK, back to reality. It was nice to dream. I can only hope to actually take some time off and get my life back on track.

Well, it is 8:17 PM and I have no baseball games to run off to and Grandma is safely in bed, the kids are settling down and I am going to crash! Thanks everyone. At least I know that when the whole world is crashing in and my body is falling apart that you all are here to help me get through it.

OOhhh... I want that dream too! At least the organizer and cleaning part. Even without the day at a spa it sounds awesome. I could just sit and watch people clean my house while I stuff my face with chocolate.

:)

Glad your grandma feels better, and that's all it was, the dehydration.
