Shiney Sue? Where are you?
Tammy tell me true, that you've not got the flu!
I know that you have been going through a lot, what with the 'legionaire's' and the cancer, not to mention the neuropathy. And, that you've been seeing more docs in the last month or so than one should see in a lifetime. Just want to know that you are hanging in there. I'm sure I'm not the only one who misses you!:hug:'s - j |

I second the above - Bax and I are getting very concerned - hoping your puter is just down or such - but if you can - send us a signal!!!!!
We miss you:( kmeb and bax |
Missing you
Your funny sense of humor is missed. Hope you are o.k. I've been very involved with my own problems and haven't put down the posts that are in my mind. We miss you.

She's not posted since the 29th of June. I hope all is well.
|
OH dear!
No word yet! Sigh. - j

I am concerned too. I just emailed her but if you see this my "Aunt Sue" you are in my heart and thoughts.
|
Does no one have any real life info to contact her? This points up the need to have a list somewhere. With this kind of board, people with different illnesses and conditions, it's worrisome when people just *poof*. Especially when it's someone that's been a longtime member and frequent poster like this.
|
It is a good idea. I always feel weird asking people for their contact info other then email. If I do hear anything by email I will keep you updated or if anyone else hears if they could do the same.
|
Problem with that
The problem with a real life list is that there are people who would use it for not so innocent purposes. They could follow posting to know how serious the illness is and it just isn't safe for a lot of our members. While I believe it would be wonderful (sigh) to know where to locate some members in order to find out whether or not they are o.k. it would violate privacy issues. A lot of people post here feeling safe and can pour out their hearts without letting the world (i.e. doctor's) know what they think of some of them. Usually a member grows to trust someone over the years and there are ways to contact them.
Sue, we hope you are o.k. Billye |
I hope to find
that Sue is recovering and her old self, when I return.

I'm BACK
HA!!! Well here I am 20 lbs liighter, and tired but healing and ,no matter how
much I said no,no,no that rehab has some very big people who said yes,,they where giving me drugs like Cinnamon Pills, lots of b12,Vit.D, hormones and much more..I really like the hormones, makes you chase very nice looking young Physical Therapist down the hall,I always caught him after all he couldn't out run my wheelchair. lol :D First and foremost I want to thank all of you for caring so much, your all are so kind and it truly touched my heart, which is the one think they claim is doing well..I took my puter but only 1 place one could use it. Well I wasn't going to wait in line, why I took that wireless puter put it as close to the biggest window I could find,ah ha I sat in the evening writing each of you such lovely e-mails,if you didn't get them, well it didn't work I even tried standing on my head,I was told this just might work,it didn't..The next day the Psychiatrist wondered in before brestfast,I explained if we didn't eat fast, well we couldn't eat.so could she stop shaking my poor sore hand..She said Sue I have been told you were standing on your head smiling with a computer clutched in your hands, well yes said I,why said she..Because I  was told it would work, now believe it are not,her reply DO YOU DO EVERTHING YOUR TOLD.. She gets paid all that money to say what my mother said for years..Our Dr. Amy was very smart to become a Psychiatrist and our No. 1 son was very smart to fall in love with her. I got home today,This 60 bed Rehab oh so small, but oh so good. I went in a bit before the 4th,why you ask,or may not,a Dr. well he is called something I can't pronounce let alone spell..It's funny to talk to a Dr. with fierce Jet lag,he had just returned from China,,giving a speech on Spinal Cord Injuries. His eyes were trying to stay open, and I was saying things like I don't remember how many children do you have, what's there names and ages..lol Well being my sweet self and the nurses were watching, after all he had his head on my shoulder.ahh I woke him up and told him to have someone drive him home,we could talk tomorrow,he just said thank-you Sue,it took the nurses just a few secs. to pretend they were working.. Many things happened that were good and many that really scared me. But we are being hit by a storm, but I'm doing better, feeling stronger, and amazed that you can go down a hall and people knew what Polyneuropathys were ,well some of them. Thank you again Hugs to all Sue |
*pounces gently on Shiney Sue* I'm sooo glad to see this post! We were worried in case you hadn't noticed.
Glad to hear you seem to be doing pretty well. :) |
Ah Ha! You were in computer....
n-dimensional hyperspace! Glad you found your way out of the 'fourth dimension...or is it the fifth'?
I'd do a jig but I'd likely fall over or something. Heaps and heaps of HUGS! - j |
Hugs and yea! I am so happy to see you back to the boards. I missed your spunk and care but glad you benefited from the program. When you get a chance I would love to hear more about this program. You can email me of course too. Many hugs and hope you are settling in back home

Karen I just love the picture of Baxter. They have a day when wonderful
people bring in Animals to cheer up the rehab patients..On a bad day I was allowed to keep a sweet kitten ,in my room all night to cuddle, best part he looked like our Bax. Billye I hope your feeling somewhat better,It's hard to deal with so much,, isn't it. Thanks for the gentle pounce J. Dan will explain more about the rehap soon, but can tell you if I had my do overs instead of being a Truma Nurse,I would of loved working in a place like this, they get to see people get better, not just put them together and hoped they made it..Well I was told nurses make the worst patients, hmm think they were telling me something. And D do not do a jig ,I do not want to be responible for a bad boo ,boo. Although I have a new wheelchair that feels like a lazy boy chair, legs go up head go back,I guess if you were in a crabby mood you could go to the mall and move the crowds out of the way.. Good thing I rarely get crabby because we know it would hurt my feet and legs ratter then there bottoms. I didn't have my message thing working right on my phone,a Hand rehab therapist had to bang on the door to tell me the answering machine wasn't working,he lives a few blocks away.I better fiv it or Bob will and we will be shopping for a new phone. Ha..I'm going to read now and see what you have been up..Hugs to all Sue |
Oh Sue,
what a relief!! I am so glad to see your funny sweet self back!! Don't overdo. We don't want you to have to go back. You were missed so much. Wish I could say things are better but it's a very long story and I don't want to bore the group or tire you. Glad to have you back!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Billye Quote:

So happy to see you home and feeling better - I'd give anything to see a pix of you standing on your head with your puter! In any case - nothing seems to ever be able to shake your sense of humor :):):)
Hugs from me and the mop:hug: |
Somehow, when I first started reading this thread--
--all I could think of was "Shiney shiney Sue, where are you?"
Sung to a most recognizable carton theme, of course. Fortunately you did answer, and seem to be your general self, and that is good news (so I won't have to feel guilty about revealing my addiction to animation of a certain era). |
