thanks Chemar.

AfterMyNap 07-10-2008 08:52 AM

The man is a genius! Thanks Chejuly, this is officially my new favorite website!

MelodyL 07-10-2008 09:00 AM

NOBODY IS SAYING WHO THEY ARE!!!! lol

I'm a cross between Koffee Klatch and an Eagle Scout.

At least I think I am!!!

lol

mrsD 07-10-2008 09:22 AM

that is a funny/fascinating site!

L O L....

You know I found many types that were familiar! And I have to say, that here, the cooperation of the members reduce greatly the "types".

The other board which many of us came from, had more identifiable ones.

I looked for myself... and I guess I am a mixture.
The Archivist (moderately)--not so much archiving this forum, but I do have alot of information saved, or know where to find it. :o

The Eagle Scout (mostly)

Bliss Ninny-- I like this name LOL-- I have some of those traits too.

That site is very creative, the drawings very nice, and the forum interesting to read too. I feel quite "small" when I read some of the posts there--- like my interests and sphere are pretty limited as far as interaction goes, on the net! sigh.

AfterMyNap 07-10-2008 09:31 AM

I LOVE the Toxic Granny! She's my favorite so far. This is way too fun and it's eating up the morning on me!!:D

:ROTFLMAO: :ROTFLMAO: :ROTFLMAO: :ROTFLMAO: :ROTFLMAO:

mrsD 07-10-2008 09:44 AM

I looked at that forum a while back...

It is very complex...and many of the definitions are quite
subtle --if you read between the lines. I find that time
and several visits there are more helpful than a long study of the types. It can get overwhelming, at least for me.

But I have to say that the author there is very clever, and perceptive. For those of us who have been on boards for a long time...it is very funny! I know some of the types really rang a bell for me--- and now I feel like a "strong" warrior! (some of you may know of my "battles" in the past). LOL
In fact "Big Cat" was a particularly challenging problem for me, as well as the JERK.

Kitty 07-10-2008 09:49 AM

I like the Toxic Granny, too. The pictures are a riot!!

I think that I'm definitely Coffee Klatch and maybe Cyber Sisters - although I don't like to be thought of as a beyotch!! Maybe a bit of Bliss Ninny, too!! :o I suppose I could be all of them on any given day!! :p :D

who moi 07-10-2008 10:05 AM

I'd like to become Kung Fu Master...I am level one...so many more levels to go....

that is HALIRIOUS....thanks for this, Chejuly, I just got back from a meeting that kinda let me down...and this was a much needed perk!!

now, funny thing when I read Ennui, I haven't seen that word used since I've read "Walden" and I used it once cause it is pronounced. "Ahn-wee" and nobody knew what I was tawking about  LOL

and when I read it, I felt like this guy has just now become my best friend...LMAO....

too too funny....

thanks!!

who moi 07-10-2008 10:25 AM

hmmmm...I was reading his forum(s)...I might have to jump ship....LOLOL

Chemar 07-10-2008 10:50 AM

oy Moi! no defections or I shall call in the Koala and have ya botnapped again:D

it is hilarious isnt it. :p
I see bits of me in many of those:cool:

glad it has helped brighten the day for yas:grouphug:

Doody 07-10-2008 10:55 AM

Hmmmm, I guess I would have to defer to those that know me (and try not to get PO'd if they don't pick the right ones, LOLOL).

I agree with Mrs. D. What's interesting is in reading through them (which I haven't had time to do very many) people instantly come to my mind from over the years. I don't think there has been one character yet that I've read, that I haven't been able to match to a poster in real life. Cracks me up!

AfterMyNap 07-10-2008 11:05 AM

It's fun to think about how universal some of it is. His descriptions probably came from experiences in a handful of forums, but they seem to work for any forum.

It supports my simpleton's unqualified theory that there are about a dozen people "types" and everyone is a variation of one of those themes.

I didn't see one for the Intellectual Bully, did I miss it?

Too funny, moi, I learned that word from Walden too. It was the best part of the whole book to me!:o

SandyC 07-10-2008 11:41 AM

This is fun! I am finding several warriors that I fit into. I am laughing at myself and asking the question "Am I like that"? lmao

weegot5kiz 07-10-2008 12:37 PM

oh my gosh, did we had the same college professor...

that WAS the best part of the whole book. I couldn't remember much of the book, to be honest with you. I fell asleep trying to read it...

but I remembered that word intrigued me cause I had to look it up and then learn how to pronounce it...but it didn't exist in my tiny collegiate dictionary so I had to go to the library to get the big unabridged...that brought up to another story but I'll save it for later...

and now, many years later...two people in one day have proved to moi that I am not crazy...that ENNUI does exist...

although, I must say that ENNUI is never the case when it comes you funny peoples...;)

I am still going down the list and I am still aspired to be kung fu master...but maybe lurker would be more like my current state of being...oh yeah, good lurking job I am doing....LMAO....................

you guys, you guys...you just brighten my day...I want to give you all a noogie...http://z.about.com/d/politicalhumor/...dam_noogie.jpg

at the risk of being botnapped, I guess I'd better not jump ship....you think koalas are cute, wait until they kidnap you...LOLOLOL

I found myself reading them all, too, and many with a very bemused smile. I would hate to have to pick out any one of them and apply it to myself, that's for sure. :p But I did find a few that I wouldn't be embarrassed to associate with. :D
