I really enjoyed the first show of Project Runway this season.:) I was amazed that they made clothes out of plastic bags and table cloths. Oh yeah, and vegetables!?!?:eek:

The plastic cup dress was fascinating! Who would have thought to make a dress with plastic cups.:eek:

It's way too soon for me to pick a favorite. I can't even remember their names until I watch several shows. I love that show.:D

Haven't seen the show. Sounds interesting, though.

Love it!!!! I thought the judges were gonna flip over so many tablecloths LOL.

And what is with that horribly tanned guy ugh he needs a good scrubbing in some bleach, he just looks dirty, I can already tell he will be my least fav because looking at him gives me the ickies!

I thought the girl who won the challenge was the most creative although the cup dress was pretty inventive...and the old rock chick? Speaking of icky LOL

And a dark haired and blonde haired Betty Page, pinup girls I will love because I love that era!

I so agree on all your points, that "dirty" guy making girl-iscious dress. He just wants to create the tag line for the season, I'm thinking. It sure isn't as cool a word as fierce was last season.

The winner was the best overall, but her lipstick color was hideous.

I would so rather hear fierce! or hot tranny mess, or tranny mess than girlicious ack! Cristian was lovable in a goofy way, this guy is just icky LOL! He actually reminds me of one of those drugged out of their minds club kids from Cali.
I agree some of those plastic cups could penetrate some tender areas!!! I bet there are gonna be good fights too!

Hey everyone! I'm in agreement with everything y'all said so far, from "girl-iscious" to the cup dress and winner! I don't remember all their names yet either.

I have no idea how they chose which of the bottom 2 should have gone home. They were BOTH losers! :eek: Personally, I think they should have snt home the trash bag lady but I must admit, Jerry's model did look a little like she was straight out of a slasher movie. (That Michael Kors just cracks me up!) I can't help but feel that cutting the the more seasoned designer might have made better TV -- or maybe they just really expected more from him.

Speaking of making better TV, unless she's really out of her mind, I wouldn't be surprised if trash bag lady sticks around for a bit.

In an inteview last week, Heidi said that there was "a lot of crying" in this season.

Doesn't Kelly (challenge winner) look a little like a young, blonde Beverly D'Angelo??

Ok folks here I am with a Project Runway scoop.....I get all those celebrity rags for mindless entertainment and there is an interview with Tim Gunn whom I love by the way, and it would seem that icky girlicious tan man will be around awhile, and it also says that later in the season there is a romance between two contestants...now all of the males are gay except one and he is happily married sooooo, it would seem a little gay...big shock... romance will be featured!

Cool, NaeNae! I think this one is worthy of some hunting around! :D

For any PR AND Top Chef watchers, I think that Jack from PR (the nice one who went home because of illness) and Dale from TC are still an item. Nice couple. :)

I loved the winner's outfit. It didn't seem like it would come out but boy did it ever! I love that she adds the artistic touch!

Tan boy is a flake right now but I am holding back until I get to know them. I didn't like Christian at first and then he ended up my fav. lol

I'm not doing very well trying to post on this Project Runway thread that I started. I know, I am very ashamed of myself!!!:o

I have to say icky girlicious boy redeemed himself some in my eyes when he cracked me up imitating the rocker chick's "leather" obsession. And the third person guy is going to get shot by the end of the season because everyone is already getting sick of hearing him refer to himself in the third! I personally didn't care for his dress but thats just mho. And the black girls dress from Little Rock was excuse me for saying...hideous!! It's probably a good thing the models don't shop for all of the episodes LOL!

I'm with you, NaeNae! I "get it" but although it was creative, I didn't find it very tasteful. I really loved the dress of the young woman who came it second. (I'm still not up to speed on their names.) Ditto on the biker chick -- I think her model is so gorgeous! Speaking of models, I'd bet money that the model of the guy who was eliminated won't be sticking around. I think his loss was partially her fault. On another note, I thought Natalie Portman looked awful! :eek: I was really surprised! I don't know what was up with her dress, but most of all, her make-up was awful!

LOL Beary I agree Natalie was not at her best...maybe the Tresemme people did her hair and makeup too! LOL well she is dating that artsy fartsy alternative folksy rock guy...maybe it is his influence...but still you couldn't make that girl look bad! The second place girls dress was my fav too. Ugh all that brown silk!

Becky, I hope your better soon too. Wanna come up to Chi town for a week or two or more. lol I've been trying to get Renee to come up but she hasn't yet.

Absolutely! And don't forget about the one on the left -- what did Michael Kors say? She was from "The Republic of Cocktail Land"? :D I like the dress but he was out of his mind for this challenge!

I liked the outfit on the far right of Beary's post but it's just a cute, young looking outfit. It almost looks like high school to me.:p

I did not like Project Runway tonight.:mad: That was just plain stupid designing for Drag Queens.:rolleyes: The best design was kicked out.:(

I half-watched it at 10 and I am half-watching it now, LOL!

It was a good design but didn't fit the challenge. Apparently the judges are sticklers for the rules. :rolleyes:
