PastaNMore
Yup. Just bought it.
here's what it looks like http://pastanmore.com/ Don't know if any of you have seen the informercial (you can view it by clicking on the link). First time I saw it I said "holy cow, I don't have to lug giant pots of water to the stove and then carry it over the sink to drain". With my hands, this item is a godsend. And it makes VEGGIES AND OTHER STUFF TOO!!! And you KNOW I'll do an infomerical on this as soon as I use it, right? So we shall see. Just put the order in (got it on ebay and saved money too). Cannot wait to get it. Mel |
I just watched the video on the site you provided Mel, and it sure looks good.
Let's hope that it turns out just like the ad. |
I only hope it doesn't turn out like my Smart Lids did. God those things sucked big time. Got all my money back from the Rite Aid I bought it at.
But this does sound like a handy item to have when you need to make Pasta. Alan loves Pasta with Tuna Croquettes. I DO NOT eat pasta. Maybe once in a while I'll buy the low-carb ones. But if I don't have to carry a big pot of boiling water over to the stove, that's good enough for me. And it comes with an expander, and a cheese grater (I'm a sucker for extra items when I buy these gadgets). So I shall let you all know when I received this and try it out. Can't wait. Melody |
looking forward to YOUR video Melody. Yours tell how it really works.
I am married to an italian who loves his pasta so this would really save some trouble. Plus it would be nice for traveling in our RV. Let me know how it goes. Oh and you should have your own "as seen on TV webpage" I have watched all your gadget ones on youtube...Sue |
Thanks Snoozie.
I have to ask you guys something. I was sitting with my neighborly friends (that's what i called friends that are also neighbors). Not around the corner but three blocks away. They used to live across the street from me but moved a few blocks away. We were sitting out one night and my friend said "My daughter and I watched your silly videos. I mean, WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU DO A VIDEO ABOUT A STUPID JUICER, and she started laughing so hard, well I got embarassed. She then went on about my Pedegg and said "that was so silly, I said to myself "who cares about a stupid pedegg and a juicer", and her daughter screamed and said "wow, I actually know someone on youtube". I tried to laugh along with her but honestly, I wasn't feeling like laughing. I just stared at her and said "why are you laughing, and she laughed even harder. She said "I just don't get it, why would you make an infomercial on these stupid products". I then said "well, I have other friends who seem to enjoy it when I buy something and show them how it works or even IF IT WORKS". They were laughing so hard I actually felt like a fool. These people DO NOT GO ON COMPUTERS. The only reason she saw me was I told her what to look for and she went on her daughter's laptop. But the people who were sitting out on the stoop were not computer people, they don't go to forums, nor do they go to youtube. I got the feeling they thought I was absolutely ridiculous. I began to feel that way. I didn't like the feeling. I can get a joke like everybody else but that night I felt like I WAS THE JOKE!!! Didn't like it one bit. I will never tell them if I do another video. It's not what they are into obviously. But don't worry, I think this pasta n more thing is going to be a keeper. Mel |
Don't listen to those two! I listened and watched your infomercials and boy, am I glad that I got the Shark. Gonna get the Pegegg too! It is nice to hear from someone that actually has tried the things out. They don't know what they are missing. Don't mention anymore to them....but do tell me!:D
|
Mel,
there will always be people laughing or picking on someone... this is what I see in you(while I repeat moiself. LOL) you have a Ponce de Leon Spirit.... You have a joyful and youthful spirit that shines in your posts. There is an innocence about you that a lot of people lose as they age. and vive de coeur attitude...you have a lively heart attitude, a heart that will make you go on the streets and dance without care what anyone thinks... that's just it, who CARES what they think? If you dance on the streets and it makes you feel alive, DO IT! If they are laughing at you and teasing you, forget about them. They are not worth it. They are miserable people that rather laugh at other people cause that's HOW they live...you know what, grab their hands and make them dance with you, cause they are probably dead and miserable inside... you keep doing what you are doing,Mel and no, not everyone will appreciate it, but don't worry about those folks...there WILL be people that WILL appreciate it. Embrace them and take them on the street to dance with you... keep on smiling...and keep on dancing... :) |

LOLOL |
LOOK AT MY NEW SIGNATURE!!!!
And thanks to all for keeping my chin up!!! I will continue to dance in the street (I've actually danced in produce stores when they played Belly Dance music and the staff were dancing with me up and down the aisles). The owner was smiling. These people know how to enjoy themselves. Mel |
I think the videos are cute and more importantly, you're having fun making them. You'd love the san diego fair. They had a whole building with all sorts of as seen on tv stuff. I just loved that building!!
I have to admit. My shark stinks. I tried using it on the wood floor and it was completely streaky. I use it on my tile floor in my kitchen but if there's anything actually stuck to the floor, it won't come up. Had some blood on the floor from the dog's tail and it wouldn't touch it. I think a regular mop is probably a better bet for me. Too bad because it seemed so cool. I bought it because everyone here seemed to love theirs. |
:hug: mel, think about how many members here you make smile, giggle or belly roll laugh?
keep on doing what you're doing. there is no price you can put on giving joy. :wink: sounds like those 2 are jealous, cuz you are a star and ace consumer reporter. :D |
Greta:
I am so sorry your steam mop didn't work out for you. I have a friend who lives around the corner and she got the H2O mop. She loves it. I guess there are mops, and then there are MOPS. I guess you have to find the MOP that's right for you. I ADORE the Swiffer. I buy the wet things (with febreze), and it has some rough thing on it at the edge, to clean up ground in dirt or something. I use it to do my floors in between the shark mop. I do not know what I would do if I didn't have the Swiffer wet things. I have even made my own wet thing. I cut up some shammy's to fit my swiffer and boy was it good. No streaking and it made the house smell nice. And I would LOVE your San diego fair. Years ago, within walking distance of my house, I would go to 86th Street and they had a AS SEEN ON TV STORE. You should have seen my face (I was with Alan) and I said "oh, look at the new store". And Alan said: "I'm dead". "There she goes". I was in my glory. They had stuff I had never ever seen on an infomercial. But alas!!! they went out of business. BUT!!!! on August 15, right near my house, guess what's opening??? A BRAND NEW WALGREENS. Now every other big drug store chain as an aisle marked AS SEEN ON TV. Rite Aid has it. CVS has it. So I figure WALGREENS, HAS TO HAVE IT TOO, RIGHT!!! I shall soon be in my glory again. I need some new SHAMWOW thingees. And some new Debbie Meyer green bags. And god knows what else I'll find. I already have the Light Bulbs, the Vidalia Slicer, the One Touch, The Pedegg, the My Lil Reminder thingee, the extending reacher thing (god, I dont know what I would do without THAT gadget). I have them all. I'm like a kid in a candy store. lol |
up here in MA we have an 'as seen on tv store' ut its kinda far from me, but I LOVE watching informercials and im like wow i wish i had that, but only if it worked! now i have to check out your videos!
|
mel, dont fret what they thought, its what you thought that really counts, like greta said you had fun doing them, sorry they hurt your feelings:hug:
|
Megveg:
Allow me to start you off (just in case you haven't found me on youtube yet). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4XFeKYiaZ4&feature=user As you watch this video, glance over to the right and you'll see More videos from eliz7212. Just click on that (It won't disrupt what you are watching), and you'll see ALL OF my crazy videos. Let me know what you think of my home made jewelry holder. I think that was the best thing I ever did. It holds absolutely ALL of my jewelry. |
Melody, don't let sone fuddy duddy stick in the mud neighbors get you down.
Obviously they don't know fun when they see it. I wish you were my neighbor, I would dance in the produce section with you LOL :hug: My best friend and fellow "dance in the aisle" friend moved to florida and I miss having someone to have fun with. On one trip to a party supply store we were laughing so hard we had to sit on the floor till we were able to walk again. Yeah people looked at us but it just made us laugh even more :Head-Spin::Head-Spin::Head-Spin: Keep on making those videos....Sue |
Mel, Do you 'sell' some of the stuff we see on TV? I know you tell us later about whats wrong with them....but thats later.
:rolleyes: |
No, I don't sell anything. I just like gadgets and if I find one that's good for me (I have arthritis), so the handy reacher thing, and the chopping thing and now this Pasta n More thing...and oh yeah, the Ped Egg thing. (Well everything I buy I use).
The only stupid thing I bought and this is really stupid, is the TATER MITTS. What a waste of my money. You should see what happens when you peel potatoes with these suckers. All the peel gets stuck in the Tater Mitts. I hate them. Oh, all of you, go to my thread "need your input on my fever". I've been running a fever and I feel perfectly fine. I told the whole story. Tell me what you think. Thanks, Melody |
Well, I always read your posts on the TV "specials". And, I always make my choice to purchase something on your reviews!! So for me, you are my own private consumer reporter. I believe you before I do the infomercials. So let them laugh all they want, just don't stop buying and reporting!! You also have a funny , lively way of making your reports!! I enjoy you!!:D:D
|
maybe use them for back scratcher mitts? for people you don't like. :wink:
|
I am not a poet, but your post inspired moi...LOL
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ tease, laugh, at thee how dare do they make fun of ye' don't they know Mel's a star at NT with glee?? gadgets galore dealers be told we, at NT await Mel's consumer report! be bold, ignore cuz 'tis the neighbors at fault for they do not know the power of Mel's Internet Explorer... skip, hop, bring you and your alan some soupie du jour... then dance dance dance in the streets to your vive en coeur!! (but don't puke...LOL) |
You're hysterical!!!!
Oh, by the way, I saw X-files, I want to believe. HATED IT. It's nothing like what they showed on tv or in their last movie. Stinko!!! Mamma Mia was far better. |
Have you ever seen (or Mel, used :)) that micro-pan thats has one end to hold veggies or something, plus water and has a handle? It's plastic & not real big (about a quart). You kinda slide the lid on. I bought one at the store then later I found one at a garage sale. You can warm your food in water in the pan then just dump it over the sink pouring out the water cuz of the holes in the lid.
I'm not sure this is an add cuz I don't name a certain name :confused: :D I use one for when we camp (we have a small micro for reheating) & the other at home. |
Lor:
There isn't a single thing in my house that is not MICRO READY. I have micro pans, I have EVERYTHING that you can cook something in the microwave with. I have covers, etc But this is my first Pasta container, especially made to cook pasta in. That's the only thing I didn't have. What I did buy a long time ago was this big Pasta Pot with built in Strainer. What a pain in the butt that thing was. Had to lift the heavy thing full of water, place it on the stove, AND IT TOOK FOREVER FOR THE WATER TO BOIL, because there were two pots actually, One was the huge strainer thing inside the pot. Oh my god, how heavy that thing was. So if this thing works, and I never have to lift a pot of water again, WELL, ALAN CAN MAKE HIS OWN PASTA, now can't he??? Ha!!!! lol |
i'll see if i can find a link to the one lor is talking about. it's a microwave one. as seen on tv. :D
couldn't even find it on www.asseenontv.com it's a microwave pot to cook pasta and other foods. it has a lid that has holes to strain the water. the handles have holes that you can use to measure the right amount of pasta to use. *eyeroll |
I like the Videos
And like the Pasta maker good for Bob and I like the veggie part. Why because with The PN in the hands less likely to burn,or see blisters next
day. I wish you would UTUBE that fact that a lot of us have hands,that are not strong for medical reasons,but I'm sure you will and glad of it,hope you like it even Bob can use it...Hugs to all Sue |
Pasta N More
I had to sign up just to give you info on the pasta pot you're looking for. I was watching at the gym and here is the link:
OK, so it won't let me post a link because I don't have 10 posts. Type in pasta n more dot com and you'll find it. I can't seem to find any reviews of it but it looks interesting. Of course, every extra thing is more money... Good luck! |
ty green monta...i do like the new orange better than green :wink:...hubby and i own a gym.
http://www.pastanmore.com/ welcome to neurotalk. :D |
Mel, I guess a pasta pot for the micro would be good to have. Especially if you make allot of pasta.
Curious, I don't know what that pan is called |
You crack me up, Mel. I am a gadget guru also. I LOVE kitchen gadget stores and always check out Walgreen's As Seen on TV aisle. I LOVE my Ped Egg and have bought several for gifts. One of the best inventions ever.
Keep those demo's coming. |
Green Monsta
I have to laugh. Did you read the first line of my first post. I BOUGHT THE PASTA N MORE. Just haven't got it yet!!! They just emailed me that they shipped it out today. Believe me, the first time I make pasta, I'll make a video. Now if only I could find a good thermometer on one of those AS SEEN ON TV infomercials. God, I'd kill for a working thermometer!!!! lol |
Curious:
What do you mean you like the new orange better than green?? Orange what???? You can't be talking about the Pasta n More because when I click on the video it shows the same video that I saw on tv and it's green with blue lids, or something like that but NOTHING IS ORANGE. You saw something in orange?? |
Quote:
Thanks... I don't get it, orange? Geez Louise...I have to even take links out of my reply to post.... |
Melody,
Of course I did...after I hit "submit reply"! :rolleyes: After I saw that my post wasn't going up, I thought it didn't matter but just saw that it finally made it on the board. Is it because I'm new or does everyone have to wait hours to see a post? I'm not liking that... So sorry for the duplicate info. I didn't think to read back to the beginning. Had stumbled upon this site when I was googling the product. Happy Hump Day! |
I looked at that pan that I talked of earlier & the 'makers' name is on the lid, so I tried entering it & I got this https://www.pamperedchef.com/orderin...PrntItmId=2779 Thats it.
|
I have no idea why you can't submit links or why you are having a bit of a hard time posting. Maybe it's because you only have 3 posts??
Probably that's the reason. Keep posting and when you have 10, maybe you can put in stuff. Anyway, I'm going to check out Lor's link. Sounds cool!! LOVE GADGETS!!! |
Lor, I'm hysterical. I HAVE THIS POT!!! Never did pasta in it. It's not big, perhaps that's why. I've made all my veggies in it. It cooks my carrots, broccoli, very nicely.
Now how did I get this Pampered Chef product? About 3 years ago, one of my neighbor/friends invited me to a Tupperware Party. I will never say NO to a Tupperware party because YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT THEY HAVE, RIGHT?? So we get there and something's not quite right. I see all these products on the big table but it doesn't look like any Tupperware. I said to my friend Esther. "Where's the Tupperware?" She goes "I have no idea". Then we hear someone chime in "This is not a Tupperware Party, this is a Pampered Chef party". DO YOU KNOW HOW EXPENSIVE THE PAMPERED CHEF IS COMPARED TO TUPPERWARE?? I walked out buying that pot, and some Silicons Hot Glove Mitt things. I laughed all night. I kept saying "AND YOU SAID THIS WAS A TUPPERWARE PARTY". LOL |
Melody, I was thinking of telling you (till my son came & asked to use my computer for school work) that once I looked for info. on the pot and found many gagets and stuff then looked at other sites too. I think I might buy some things :p BTW...wasn't I just reading about a ricemaker, on one of these leads? Go to that Pampered Chef site that has my pan (our pan) & you will see a rice cooker. (Now mine is starting to look like an add :shocked:)
|
Well, I never eat rice because I'm diabetic and I don't take any chances.
But I certainly love gadgets. I'm the type that if I see an informercial and I thing "wow, I could use this". Then I buy it!!! I bought the Smart Mop when it first came out YEARS BEFORE THE SWIFFER. It had this twist thing and it was made of shammy material. I loved this mop. But then I got my Swiffer and then my Shark Steam Mop and the rest is history. I always wanted that Express cooking thing (I think it's called the GT Express or something like that. It has two wells and you can put ANYTHING into it and it makes EVERYTHING. The lady put some cake mix with chocolate bars inside and BINGO, she made cake with chocolate inside. That looked delicious. I don't eat these things, but believe me if this was around years ago, (when I weighed lots more than I weigh now), BELIEVE ME, I would have bought this gadget in a heartbeat. God I would have made dumplings and cake mixes and burritos, and omelletes, and WHATEVER THE LADY MADE, I would have made. It's the same lady who does the Pasta N More commercial. She does all these informercials. Alan says they should give me a job as an informercial lady!! lol P.S. I just looked it up. It's called the GT Xpress and they give you one free if you buy one. My god, the stuff you can buy on those As Seen On Tv stores on the Internet. http://www.gtxpress.com/?gcid=C12579...rd=PI_Homepage |
now I just need a microwave to go with it. :)
