Return of a Koala

I'm back from my little trip away and I wanted you all to know that I had a great time, and although it was bitterly cold where we were, I've come home feeling refreshed and ready to face the world again!

I met up with a board buddy who I'd been typing to for about two years, but we hadn't met in person until now. She's younger than I am but that didn't stop either of us from having a lovely time together. She has both MS and Fibromyalgia and I hope we might see her here on NeuroTalk in the not too distant future. DH and I stayed with her and her hubby and they spoilt me rotten! I can't wait to return her hospitality just as soon as we can get them to come visit us here in my home state.

My friend lives out in the country, well away from the city hussle and smog and we spent one day sighseeing around the area where she lives. Another day DH and I took a train ride into the city to see his mother who lives in a Home (she has dementia). She was so excited to see my hubby. I always take second place, but that's OK.

I know a lot of you have been concerned that I wasn't going to have that biopsy and I thank you for caring about me. You'll be pleased to know that I've decided to go ahead with it, and I'm sure now that I was worrying for nothing, as I'm sure it will turn out to be benign!

I've been trying to put some of the photos that I took while I was away into in my album, but for some reason I can't get them to go in, even though I did resize them. I'll post a few of my favourites here than I'll try my album again when I have a bit more time.

Here's the first one, and I couldn't not take a photo of the Australian Eucalypt Gum Tree for you, but unfortunately there were no Koalas in this one! :(

This is part of an Avenue that I'm told is truly a sight to behold in Autumn (Fall)

This is the bottom end of The Great Dividing Range, a mountain range that reaches from the top of Australia all the way down the east Coast, and it ends here.

A house in the middle of "nowhere" that took my eye.

I'm so glad you had a good time. Sometimes just some time away in another environment does a world of good. And it doesn't hurt to be spoiled while you're there either!!

I'm happy to hear your decision on the biopsy. I'm sure your other board buddies and your family are happy, too. :)

Thanks for the pictures - they are beautiful! I have a hard time resizing and posting pictures, too, so don't feel bad.

Glad you're back.....we missed you!!

Welcome Home Koala

Sounds like your trip was just what the doctor ordered. So glad to hear your outlook is back on track and you're taking care of the details (biopsy).

The pics are so awesome. Your country is on the top of my to do list. When I was young (my 20's) I looked into moving down there. I never did, but always wonder what my life would be like today if I had.

's

Thank you everyone for your nice words.

I know I'm not much of a photographer, and lots of those photos were taken through the front or side windows of the car because it was much too cold and windy to stop and take pictures most of the time, so I had quite a bit of editing down to do which made some of the photos smaller than others.

I was surprised that they came out at all considering the speed of the car, and the dark tint on the windows, but I'm not complaining!

I still haven't got them into my album yet, but I will. I just don't know where all the hours in the day go to lately.

The photos of your Grandson William are adorable!!! Thanks for posting them!

:D

As for your mini-vacation picture...you did a wonderful job!

One of these days, I should scan in some of the pictures I took when I was in Australia many years ago. I bet you would recognize some of the places I visited.
