Oh no! The arch collapsed in UT!
I am so glad I got to see it, and even got a couple pics of it before it went down. "Dust to dust" now has a whole new meaning to me.

Wow! I'm stunned. What a brief time we humans are here for, really. Nature seemed eternal...until now.
|
NO Way!!! Geez and it didn't even make the news here in Idaho! I wonder if it did in Utah! It's one of the best known and most visited parks in Utah!
|
I think FG tried to fly her plan under it and knocked it down. :p
Such a shame. |

As soon as I heard that on the news today, my first thought was, I wonder if that's one of the places AMN visited on her road trip west last year? Glad you got to see it before it went! :)
|
Oh Bummer..............guess it goes to show what time does to everything here on this earth!!!!!
I know it will be missed......... Thanks for the update! |
The left side kinda looks like the Sphinx with its jaw missing.
|
How crazy is that? How cool would it be to see it? I wonder if they will try to "erect' it back up.
*shut up* |

rubble, as in Barney Rubble... I have a family photograph of our ol Rambler station wagon going through the tunnel tree in Yosemite, in 1967. http://www.alamedainfo.com/redwood_tree_ca.htm and another of us all gathered at that arch in Utah. |
thanks amn, that sucks, I have been there a few times, it really was awesome
as for getting it back up, that's going to take some really skilled hands :yikes: sandy u r such a bad influence on me lol |
I think that the best comment I heard on the news was from some scientist..."We got to see geology in action!"
|
