Reality show addicts part two!

We have been asked to start a new thread 'cause the old one was to long. So here we are! It's a good chance for anyone who has never had the courage to enter our league of addicts. So jump on in!

Now that the Olympics are over we can get back to regular TV. A bunch of our group here watch Big Brother. I went over to the CBS web site to see if Amazing Race or Survivor websites were up yet. Amazing Race is and I read all the teams bios. Of course they have a 'blondes' team. Survivor isn't up yet, just the introduction reel they showed at the last finale.

Americas got talent starts this week and Deal or no deal has been hinting all week long that they are finally giving away the million.

doydie 08-27-2008 10:22 PM

America's got talent is going strong now. There were some weird talents on tonight though. That guy 'George the giant' was really weird. I imagine the only person that would vote for him would be his Mom. I also didn't like the one last night with that real thin short guy. I have Project Runway and America's top dog on my DVR and will watch them tomorrow. I need something to watch while I am babysitting my contractor to make sure he stays here to do his work.

SallyC 08-29-2008 07:21 PM

I just finished the CBS video of last night's BB, because the show was taken off of our local channel for a Bengals pregame.....What a show, probably the best of the season.

On Sunday Dan won HOH by making a deal with Ollie not to put Michelle on the block and on Tues, Memphus won the POV and took himself off the block. Dan, through a bit of trickery backdoored Michelle onto the block......Ollie was really p****d.:mad::mad:, and acted like an ***** and started throwing things..

Then Michelle was evicted and Jerry was safe, once again. It was announced that there would be a dble eviction and a new HOH was named (Kiesha won) and put Jerry (again) and Ollie on the block. Ollie was evicted....All backdoor conniving...I loved it.:D

doydie 08-29-2008 10:06 PM

Wow Sally, all that happened in one night?

My favorite dog/master duo was eliminated on Americas top dog. Bill and Star went home. There was another dog that was injured and I almost thought that the guy might just elininate himself and his dog instead and let Bill and Star stay but he didn't. But Bill missed his wife so much and wanted to go home. He was a much respected contestant. Instead of considering himself a contestant competing against all the other ones, he was a freind and fellow dog ownner that loved teaching the others how to care for their dogs and help them get through all the challenges even though it might mean that he would lose them. He was an older guy, a farmer.

Project Runays challenge was taking abunch of spare parts from Saturn vehicles and making a garment out of them. It was amazing what those people made. The guy that went home had always gotten critisizm from making things his way so this week he tried to make things their way and got eliminated. His outfit was rather bland and didn't fit the model right at all. But they sure found a lot of things to make out of old seat belts.

SallyC 08-30-2008 10:35 AM

I did watch Top Dog and saw that Bill and Beautiful Star went home..sob sob.:( That challenge was something else, yes?

I don't see how any of those puppers took that leap of faith..:holysheep: I wouldn't have..:o .. I don't think I would have stood there and faced that charging elephant either.. How brave that itty bitty white doggy was..bless his heart.:)

DAY1 08-30-2008 05:50 PM

The biggest loser starts it's new season on Sept 16th. I cannot wait.

DAY

Jappy 08-31-2008 06:17 PM

Getting all rialled up. NEW SEASON!!!!!

Am. Dog I also felt sad that STAR had to leave.

Didn't get into much else this summer. Can't wait for the new
season to start. I just thought of it. I will be in between moving and
getting my TV hooked up to something. My son has a Disk, I don't know
if cable or whatelse is available there.

At least if I get behind, I can come on here and catch up. OOOOO!
that is another thing who do I get to hook up to for the PC.

There is a lot that I have to find out about.

Jappy

doydie 09-01-2008 10:51 PM

I was just over on the Survivor web site. They have the cast up now. It seems like they have the typical california group but they also have some real personalities that have studied this game and are ready to play it. The videos of the players were to inconsistent and I stopped watching them

I think I'll go over to the Biggest Loser web site and see if that cast is up now.

The contestants for Dancing with the stars has been announced. I can't see Cloris Leachman keeping up with the group.

doydie 09-03-2008 09:38 PM

I hate this part of the TV season! All the old shows are coming back and new ones are coming on and I can't watch them all. So I DVR'd Bones, watched Americas got talent, will watch Americas top dog tomorrow on the internet and DVR'd Project runway on its later showing. And next week is even worse when some more new show are on. But hopefully we will have our family room finished and we can hook our other tv up and I can get shows on the VCR.

Anyway I wasn't able to watch the begfinning of Americas got talent so I don't know who got through but I'm sure it will be on the website tomorrow. I loved the guys on the violin, the little girl and the wild card guy. They were my favorites. That little gilr is just to cute.

NaeNae 09-04-2008 06:38 AM

Well I watched the new season, of America's next top model last night, I already know my LEAST fav, its that snotty little wench from Pawley's Island,SC typical rich snotty brat. I also watched the first episode of Ghosthunters (my fav) and Top Design, then watched Project Runway. Whew I need a DVR when I move out I missed Bones!

doydie 09-04-2008 08:48 PM

My DVR didn't record Bones:confused::eek::mad: I didn't atch the first episode of Americas next top model because in the past it has been the one in which they go throuhg all the auditions. so I had to drop one show and I chose that. So now I not only missed ANTM but also Bones.

I'm glad the leather loving biker lady left on Project Runway. I never liked her attitude. It was good seeing them actually amking real clothes fo real people and not making things from the grocery store, spare auto parts or for dragqueens. I think next week they are making outfits accoding to a zodiac sign.

SallyC 09-04-2008 09:35 PM

That cute playful boxer went home he was just still a pup and lost out on the loyalty challenge.:winky:

On BB, Renee went home as expected, darn it. I now want Memphis to win. :)

are you NUTZZ??? Memphis won the car, he should have been gone week one. I want Dan to win, he could write the playbook for this game, back stabbing, manipulating, lying, he is playing THE game of BB. Go Dan, or Jerry, either one will be fine.

Yea, I guess you're right, Dan was the best, at the game. Hey maybe Keesha will win... it would serve those two guys right..LOL

SallyC 09-08-2008 06:47 PM

I'm really PO'd at Memphis and Dan. I'm praying for Keesha & Jerry to be the final two. I don't think It can happen though..

A new, The Closer and Raising the Bar are on TNT tonight....Yeaaaaa.

doydie 09-08-2008 09:23 PM

Sally, what is "Raising the bar"?

SallyC 09-08-2008 09:45 PM

A new lawyer show on TNT....now.:D

SallyC 09-11-2008 08:34 PM

The sweet boxer won Top Do...Yeaaaaaaaaa. Pat Pat..:D

Well, Piddle sheets, It looks like Dan is going to win BB10, unless the Jury likes Memphis more..;) If they vote for the best, cut throat, player, it will be Dan..:icon_twisted:

I felt so sorry for Jerry (the older guy), because, there was no way he could have won that physical challenge for the final HOH.... Shame on you BB, for making it a battle of the fittest, instead of the smartest..

OK, what's next, Doydie? :D

MSacorn 09-11-2008 09:52 PM

I only watched the finale of Top Dog, I think that the boxer that won was the best. The poor maltese he's so attached and his owner can't see it. He was an amazing little pup.

I haven't watched tonights BB. The finale is Tuesday and Survivor starts next Thursday, I believe. Yay!

Project Runway was strange, I didn't like the winning avant garde outfit at all. Two were sent home, Blaine the "blank - a- lishish" gotta stay tan guy. And Terry, she make the same stuff week after week and didn't like anyone. Good riddance to her. Kendly made the ugliest thing she thought it was awsome kinda like mickey mouse ears in the shoulder area in purple plaid, strange.

I'm cheering for LeeAnn, she's quiet and has great designs and they're well made too.

Amazing Race on the 28th.

doydie 09-11-2008 09:58 PM

Sorry Sally, with my family room fiasco I haven't kept upith my reality shows. I have top dog slated to watch on the internet, Project runway is in my DVR to watch. I did watch the final cut for Americas got talent. I did finally catch season premier of Maericas next top model. It's going to be a strange one, all the way form some one who has no confidence whatsoever to a very confident transgender.

doydie 09-12-2008 09:16 PM

Just watched Project Runway. I hate those avante guarde shows. I want to see clothes that a normal person can wear. The judges were right, that one outfit looked like she was pooping material.

Jappy 09-17-2008 09:48 AM

Watched TBL last night. It looks like it is going to be a good
show this season.

Husband/Wives

Parent/Child

Felted so sorry for the Father/daughter (yellow team) he is in bad
shape, not just being overweight but the other health problems. I don't
think they will make it because of the health problems he has.\\

Unbelieveable that he is a Sgt. on the police force. How can he do his
job?

Jappy

doydie 09-17-2008 10:36 PM

Yeah I hear you about the policeman. I don't know how a force can keep a guy on that is that overweight. I hope this is his wake up call. It was good to see how much weight the votted off couple lost when they got home. Of course at this stage off the game they have been home quite a while. I think I would pee in my pants if Jillian came at me like she did last night.

Watched the final 10 tonight on AGT. I think they are all good. I agree with Pierce, it's time for the little girl to go home. She has no hope of getting a Vegas show and most of the others do. I know she is talented but I also know how cute my 21 month old grandaughter is when she sings. I just enjoy watching and never vote so I don't get to emotionally attached to it.

I got next weeks TV Guide. There is one night that there are four shows on that I want to watch during the same hour. So many of the new seasons are starting back. I'm grateful that I can watch many shows on the web.

Jappy 09-18-2008 09:58 AM

I agree with you Dodyie about the final 10. The little girl is just that
a little girl. She is sweet and can remember the words of the songs which
is great, but I felt that last night she struggled more with the words and
her voice was very pitchy.

Probably in the future if she keeps at it, she may land up with a singing
career.

It is so hard to pick just one that I like of the adult singers. They are all
just great.

Jappy

doydie 09-18-2008 08:34 PM

I won't spoil it for anyone who has not watched AGT but I agreed with the ones America voted through to next week. Once that show gets going, it's only a couple of weeks long.

I have so many other reality shows saved on my DVR I don't know when I will have time to watch them. When my DH goes into work at 8 AM I know I have several hours. But he goes in tomorrow at 5 AM. Now that our family room is out for who knows how long we have to share the TV. :p we're going to have to set up some kind of rug and chair for him in our now defunk family room so he can watch his 52 inch tv.

doydie 09-21-2008 09:46 PM

Just watched last weeks episode of ANTM. Tyra's hair is weird this season. I liked most of the makeovers but some were just way off. I bet Isis was uncomfortable wearing that bikini.

Survivor starts this week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SallyC 09-22-2008 09:41 PM

DWTS tonight....nothing too exciting. Poor, 82 yr old, Cloris Leachment was a little bit imbarrassing and Susan Lucci stunk, IMO. The tennis pro was pretty good.....we'll see how it goes.

Anything else on, I missed last week?

doydie 09-24-2008 10:21 PM

I am so behind on my reality shows and Survivor and Amazing Race starts soon. I will be so glad when we get this family room fiasco finished and I have my TV back. I have to watch Project Runway and ANTM on the alternate days they air them, have to find Dancing with the stars on the internet. They are supposed to have full episodes online but I think they are behind. I did watch Americas got talent tonight. I think Nuttin but strings has it locked in the bag. All the other four are good but they have the best chance at a Vegas show. They were the only act that got a standing ovation from all the judges.

Did I mention that Survivor starts tomorrow night? My husband wants me to record it and we go out to a movie! Since it's going to be several more weeks yet on even starting the family room again I think it's time for him to make a little comfy cozy spot down there with his 52 inch TV. He has to put a rug on the concrete floor and use a heater but I think he will be quite comfy! Now I just have to convince him of that.

Becky21 09-24-2008 10:34 PM

I am so glad Dancing With The Stars is back on. I really like Brooke and Rocco. The big football player who's name escapes me is really great for a large man. I haven't voted yet but I really think Cloris should have gone home. Susan Lucci isn't very good either. I guess their fan base is keeping them one.

I also enjoyed Project Runway but couldn't believe they voted the wrong person off tonight. I was really surprised.

I was shocked tonight on PW also. I thought it was obvious who should leave. Oh well, guess that's why I'm not a judge. :Dunno:

Beth

SallyC 09-25-2008 10:27 AM

I think I caught the reruns of PR and DS late, last night, so I on't know if I'm up to snuff. The PR uy who went home was Suede? and the DS going home was the dark haired, yappy girl?

DWTS...Cloris should have one home but fans kept her going.....same thing with SusanL. Yes, I like the Football Player and the Model.:)

I may tune-in-to Survivor tonight, but not too crazy about it.. Maybe it will grow on me?

Jappy 09-25-2008 06:39 PM

Survivor tonight can't miss that

Amazing Race starts Sunday YAAAAAAA!!

DWTS you have to give cloris credit for what she is doing. It is fun
and entertaining to see a person at 82 to be able to dance on this show.
I know she is not going to be on too long but let her enjoy life while she
can.
I can't wait until they send home Susan Luci she can't dance and for

some reason I never did like her acting. To me she seems so phony.

Jappy

doydie 09-25-2008 10:56 PM

Sally give Survivor a chance and you will be hooked for life.

It was so good to have it back on. can you imagine trying to sleep and there is an elephant 20 feet from your crude hut! I'm glad that they were provided huts. That physics peacher is brillaint. I don't know if there is anything he doesn't know. But what will he be like when the physical challenges start coming? He did OK tonight. If he lasts through to the merge he will be voted off. I was glad the one team finally was able to catch some fish. That pessimistic old guy gave up his glasses in order to make a crude fishing line but they did it!

doydie 09-28-2008 10:21 PM

Extreme makeover Home Edition started its new season tonight. Can you imagine being a single mom to 14 kids! I love my sister but that's quite a promise to adopt all her kids when you die. they all seemed like good kids. I', glad the show is changing to make more of a 'green' house instead of a mansion. They could have mad a 10 bedrrom n=home for them but didn't. Of course they made a homework room and that took them away from the community center.

Amazing Race started tonight also but because my DH and I are still sharing the TV I have it on my DVR and will watch it later along wiht last weeks episode of ANTM that was repeated tonight. I can't believe I am getting off the TV everynight at 9 just so he can channel surf.

SallyC 09-29-2008 12:17 PM

Well, Doydie, I did enjoy Survivor, thurs..:) It was a little confusing, as they did 2 wks in one, I think?

2 left already....the guy in the tie.. and the old gal, probably 'cause she couldn't keep up.

I also started watching AR, but got a bit bored so turned over to watch the end of a movie.;) Went back to watch Cold Case. ( A fav. )

DWTS tonight, followed by Boston Legal.( another fav)

Jappy 09-29-2008 01:20 PM

I missed AR last night. My DD put together a going away party for
me with some of my closest friends.

It was great to get together, but very emotional. My one friend and DD
and myself after everyone else left sat and talked about the past and
so many memories that we shared

When I move this is going to be the hardest, leaving all the friends I have
made and also some family that are still here from my DH's side.

Well as they say "LIFE GOES ON" I am still a little scared about the
change and how I will adjust.

Jappy

doydie 09-29-2008 10:20 PM

Dancing with the stars was kind of a dud tonight. I guess I will compare it to week two on The biggest Loser. All the hype in the first week and second week is weak. I enjoy Chloris but she is mainly a comedian. I hated Lacey/Lance Paso Doble (sp). I remember her welll from SYTYCD and she is a very original person.

I still tape all the old American Gladiator shows on ESPN classic and I enjoy watching them. When I have to choose between taping one show ior AG I do choose the other show though. I don't know why I said all that!

Tomorrow night I guess we see who won Americas got talent.

doydie 09-30-2008 11:01 PM

Watched The biggest loser tonight. It was a very sad show. First thing that was sad about it was that they went camping at the Grand Canyon and none of them could think of any way to do any beneficial excersize except hiking. Have none of them not watched the show before when they have the non gym shows! Then the yellow team guy, Jerry I think, injured his hamstring and was able to do even less excersize than he had been allowd to do and was sent packing. Over on the TBL web site the message board guys think it was rigged like that. Lowest team is eliminated and they decide which member goes home. They knew Jerry would be the lowest one. But his daughter sure puts her whole heart and soul into it. When she loses weight she will look like Reese Withspoon.

I got caught up in watching TBL that I forgot to switch over during commercials to watch the elimination on DWTS. But I went to their web site and found out who went home. I was really suprised that Chloris Leachman is still there. But Kim wasn't doing very well either. I would think that with her reality show on and her sex appeal that she would have had a bigger fan base than Chloris. That's waht happens when you think to much!

doydie 10-01-2008 10:20 PM

My husband worked this evening so I was able to watch reality shows and record the new dramas. Since we are now sharing the one TV (GRRRRR, his 52 incher is sitting downstairs unised), I feel bad watching a reality show when I know he doens't like to so I record them. It was good watching ANTM and PR tonight. I was suprised when they let all 4 of them go to New York for the fashion week. But I think they did that last year also. So even the top winner tonight might not be one of the top 3 chosen to actually show at fashion week.

I was glad the girl who was eliminated on ANTM left. She was so cocky since winning the photo shoot last week. And the little french girl, I could just wring her neck and tell her to quit being so negative. She could bring anyone down.

I did rrecord Americas got talent and will watch it later tonight or tomorrow. So if anyone has watched it I won't recheck this particular thread until tomorrow. I don't want you to tell me!

Well did you watch the video of AGT? I want to brag about who won.
I was on his side right from the beginning.
