new sx

today the spasms are pretty bad in both legs - very wobbley ( spelling ) and painful but the new sx is this burning prickle feeling?? I am having a hard time discribing it to BF & DD...... can anyone help me?

DM 08-26-2008 07:17 PM

YIKES~ Sorry that your'e feeling so yucky, Yabbit; but have you thought about talking w/your Neuro? I have noticed my legs spazzing and cramping more lately and I'm going crazy w/an itching on my palms and the bottom of my feet. It's aggravating the He77 out of me.

I just figure it's the weather changes/stress w/me. Hope you can get some help w/this.

Feel better my lil friend.http://dl2.glitter-graphics.net/pub/...tm7oztj31v.gif

I am going to call the neuro tomorrow. It is an itchy burning prickle feeling.....

SandyC 08-26-2008 08:06 PM

Jim had that Char and it was painful to him. He was prescribed Gabapentin and it worked well. Let us know what the doc says.

I don't know what's going on this summer but Jim is miserable with spasms, tightness and pain. Ugh

Koala77 08-26-2008 08:28 PM

I'm not sure how you'd describe a spasm, but how about the leg suddenly goes stiff, then shoots off in all directions and there's nothing you can do to stop it. If there's pain involved, just say so.

The prickle feeling can be described like you've squatted down and tucked your feet under you, and when you get up you have painful pins and needles in your foot or feet.

I don't know if that helps, but sending you hugs.....

Yuckers :(! Feel better soon yeahbut. I believe Sandy's right with her Gabapentin suggestion if you have not gone that route.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I've had the pain you are describing (at least I think so).

Isn't it frustrating trying to describe pain and you just can't get it right?

Hope you figure it out and get some help! (If not, I'm a firm believer in medicating!

Ugh. If it's anything like the thing that my feet and legs did one year, I really feel for you!

To me, it felt like hundreds of just-burned matches were under my skin, poking their hot sulphur on me from the inside. My skin felt like it was about 200° but was cool to the touch. I hated it, it lasted about a month and just went away. (It went untreated because I was undx at the time and hadn't landed with a good doc).

I was so desperate, I stood barefoot in the snow thinking my feet would melt the entire lawn. Nada.:o

Hope that the Doc can figure out what to give you, to make
it feel better.

Sending you a big hug  to squeeze it out

Feel Better

The above is a list of medications prescribed for MS. Baclofen is the most common drug prescribed for spasms. I started out on 10mg 3 x daily.

MS Itching:

Hope it went away today and stayed away!

Other than that, how are you???

We are island this weekend, but I still want to do the observatory before it closes!!!! I believe we have until Columbus Day weekend. I think I read something about it being open late in Sept. during the full moon for night viewing, maybe we can plan something then? Let's at LEAST make a plan!!!:p

That is just what it is!!!!!! and no it hasn't gone away! I had my DD feel my legs for I felt they were burning itching and she said no they are fine mum...:( It hasn't gone away as of yet. Driving me nuts. I wore jeans today to my meeting but took a pair of shorts with me to change in, it didn't help. Doesn't matter what I wear. and believe me with these short fat white legs some people think it matters! :o

I thought of you today while I drove over that bridge!!! My first stop was in Jefferson and I think it will be a great prospect!!!

Let me know - the full moon sounds great to me! I love the phases of the moon, the new moon is my favorite but the full is second!

Thanks everyone for the well wishes - my legs are right back to where they were last night but I also have 500+ miles with my butt in the car today  they didn't help but I still have to work!

:hug:I will rest tomorrow
