Someone mentioned lets start a College Football Talking Smack Thread so here it is ! :D (Did not want to keep highjacking the football pool thread)

Well, its like Christmas morning in our household

2 ours 39 minutes and 57 seconds till game time (lol there is a countdown clock on the Michigan website)

We are all dressed up in our maize and blue and preparing a little in home tailgating.

I thought I would change it for the new season of college, lets hope certain teams do well, MINE lol

since lil'monkeys "boyz" will be college players in 5 years...(9th graders now) i thought i'd give them a :yahoo: for their win on thursday night.

I wish your Fighting Irish luck Frank except in a couple of weeks.

I actually thought Charlie Weis was a great hire. What do you think the problem has been? They hired a great new defensive guy at Notre Dame this year so should be fun to watch.

I joke that I'm an Orange Buckeye. I grew up watching Syracuse, so the OSU people forgive me since it's another divison - LOL.

LOL Finlady....I went to Syracuse and am a Wolverine by marriage. Boy has my husband converted me though. :D

Well, I'd cheer for the Iowa State Cyclones, but...they have really sucked in many recent years, LOL! (Don't tell Cyclone fans I said that.)

But then, we had some, gagme, coach that sucked for years and years making hundreds of thousands of dollars coaching a losing team. Hopefully our newest coach will be able to recruit.

Other than that, I have to be a Packer's fan. (I don't dare talk about the Vikings around my son-in-law, LOL!)

I have to admit as one of the "exclusive" college ball clubs to make Playboy's 10 worst teams in the nation several years ago I don't have much to brag on as far as my Aggie's go. We do get on TV a few times a year as fodder for Hawaii, Boise St, and a one or two of the really big boys. We've been in the top 10 for passing yards the last several years but when you have no D and no running game that'll happen. A few additions and we could be on our way. There's always got to be a new A State. Sorry to you Big Blue fans for bringing that up! :D

Actually I am touchdown deprived. Maybe they could make the mints into little footballs :(

Well not bad. My boys gave it all they got. Knew it could be a mediocre year with a new coach, new system and no QBs that had taken a snap in college ball.

They showed heart and they did not quit. And I think it is clear who our QB will be, now we need an O-Line.

We got some improving to do. :rolleyes:

DId ya see any of the USC game. They crushed Virginia. I can't wait for the USC Ohio State game...should be good.

Ok I am moving onto the Cal MSU game. I really like the Cal coach.

I just love the unprediability of college ball. Couple of upsets today...VT and Pitt.
