My lil ole 100 yr od grandma...
 

Today was her birthday party...her birthday is on the 15th. I didn't get a whole lot of pics...way too many people for me to wade through and knock out of the way.

But this was one...I did have another taken of us together sitting under an arbor...I will post it when I get it.

Her name is Jewel...and she is.

Well she certainly is a Jewel!! Just to make it to 100 is amazing, and she looks just beautiful. I hope she had a wonderful time at her party. May she continue to live in good health, and enjoy her family!! I've always said I want to make it to 100 ,so I can be on Willard Scott's Smuckers jar!! (I don't know if he still does that) Can't wait to see the picture of you two together.

That is just so wonderful that you still have your grandma and to have a 100th birthday. What a celebration.

My grandma is going to be 99 on October 13 and she still has all her wits about her.

I told my dad, "Do you know how lucky you are to have your mom here for almost you whole life? (my dad is 75) His eyes well up and he just says "Yup";)

We are in a very special group having our grandmas and I feel so blessed. I'm sure you do too.:hug:

I loved my grandmother so much...and she lived to be 92. Her last couple of years were rough but she was sharp as a tack. She could outwit the best of us!!

Just wondering: What do you buy someone for their 100th b-day? :confused:

We had five generations...my oldest grandson who is 18 made it the 5th generation when he was born.

She has buried: her husband, three children, 13 siblings, countless cousins, neices, nephews, a few grandchildren, and at least 2 great children.

I can't imagine all the things she has seen changed throught out the years. She remembers everything...except who my sister was yesterday. lol That one will be the family joke for awhile!! lol My sister doesn't go visit her except once every two or three years.


Thank you for the kind words and I will tell her how beautiful you all said she is. I don't know what I will do when she goes...survive, is what she told me. lol My mother was only 6 yrs older than I am now when she died.
