Hello Everyone
I have not been arround much lately so i just wanted to send a big  to you all.
I have a herniated disc in my neck which is pinching on a nerve..that is causing a hell of a lot of pain. My arm feels like i slept funny on it and its asleep weak, but gnawing out pain in shoulder blade, andnoi feelings in hand or fingers but pins and needles... Iam waiting for an MRI Scan soon, but see a Nuerologist in about an hours time [ i hope the prognosis is good, finding it hard to cope now. i have slept in a chair for the last 18 days as i cant lay flat as the pain increases..........when will the pain end...i get over one thing and someone upstairs decides to chuck something else my way:( I have used this slight window of oppotunity where my index finger does not feel like my bg toe to write...because i want you all to know im thinking of you all. These past months have thrown out some crap for may in this forum, i'm convinced times have to get better soon :grouphug::hug::grouphug:for the room David |
hi David,
we have been missing you around here but totally understand...you just take care of you, dude... we'll be thinking of you and keeping you in our prayers and thoughts... hopefully that MRI will give you some answers that will help resolve the disc issues. sending you a big bear hug back... stealing your words: "take care of you" :) post when you can. Even just a smiley would be suffice enough, don't worry about it if you can't post. :) |
Oh crikies David!!! I have a lousy neck as well, but not like that yet! You have my sympathy 100% and I hope they fix it! I've had pain shots twice, can't remember if it's c3 or 4 or what, but well...most painful thing.
I so hope and pray that they find something definitive and make it go away! |
Oh, David, hope you can get the scan as soon as possible...I'm praying for some pain relief and also that you can get some much needed rest...
|
I wondered where you went to. gentle hugs for our hurting friend!
|
David  Thinking of you and so sorry you have been in such
pain. How did your neurologist appointment go?? My brother has severe back issues but refuses surgeries. He has shots, hmmmm can't remember what at the moment, prednisone maybe? It helps him function but does little for the pain. My heart goes out to you:hug: |
(((DMACK)))....man, neck issues are a bummer!!! I had to have a cervical fusion about two years ago. So painful before the surgery and I did not want to have it....scared the begeebies out of me but I had lost complete use of my right arm. Please take care, I will be thinking about you.

I'm so sorry to read about the pain you've been going through. Here are you sending all of us healing vibes and supporting messages from your heart, and all along you've been in terrible pain yourself. Thank you for the kind messages that you addressed to me. I just wish there was something I could do to help you, but although I can't do anything physical to help, please know I'm thinking of you and hoping that you get relief soon. How did the MRI go? Do let us know when you get an update from your doc. |

((David)) I hope you feel better soon:hug::hug: |
Thank you all for your concern i really appreciate it.
Well update............the UK is much different to US/Canada/Austrila healthcare in that we dont pay [ well we do in a way through national insurance but not vast amounts of up-front cash like you do] Hence over here the wheels of motion move slowly...no MRI Scan until i have suffered pain for 8 -10 weeks [apparantly 90% of peoples condition will heal before this period, [2] they say its a Herniated Disc in neck and an MRI will only confirm this, so unless it gets worse they will wait to scan as scanning then leads to surgery [ politely saving money, over your way these tests would be carried out ASAP to big up your bill.] Im down for physio under URGENT but the waiting list is 7 weeks [LMAO] [ WELL NOT REALLY SCREAMED MY HEAD OFF] Stronger painkillers, and anti-inflamatories prescribed and now its just a waiting game. IF pain goes i at least will be able to sleep lying down ..i hope. numbness /weakness and pins/needles may be permenant depending on damage to the trapped nerve............was not happy to hear that one bit...and pray this is not the case. thanks again to you all for your kind words and concern.:grouphug: IT NEVER RAINS BUT IT POURS..............:( David |
yikes, David...
I wish there IS a perfect health care system for all of us.... everywhere around the world... will be thinking of you, bud... loved the photos you've posted, btw...*biggrin ((((BIG HUGS)))) |
