Chewing gum commercial

We had a successful chewing gum commercial beamed from the international space station for Japanese television yesterday. Yeap. We do strange things. It is international...

The science data formatter went kablooey on the hubble telescope over the weekend so STS-125 is postponed until at least mid February. We need to certify a replacement. The shuttle to the telescope was supposed to launch 10/14. There is now a push to push up STS-126 going to the space station to the 14th of November from the 16th.

Thanks for the update, Tom!

I was sorry to hear that the repair for the Hubble got pushed back. I understand that they want to figure out what to do to fix the new glitch, but I am scared that they will just decide to abandon it completely and I LOVE Hubble! :(

Was it "bubble" gum? Seems to me it would have to be. <crackin' self up>

(Oh wait.... would that be "hubble" gum?---something to chew on )

I have no idea what gum commercial. The flight director reported they were gonna do it at Monday's daily meeting and then said it was a success at Tuesday's daily meeting. I'm a shuttle guy. I only half pay attention to station stuff unless there's a shuttle there. I'll ask this morning though.

Kablooey, diflugity, PFM... Yeap. NASA talk.

I hope that they end up fixing the Hubble too. We've gotten great stuff from it.
