A Beginning
 

One day you wake up
and realize you must have survived it
because you are still here,
alive and breathing.

But you don't remember
the infinitely small steps
and decisions you took to get there.

Your only awareness
is that you have shed miles of tears
on what seems to be
an endless road of sorrow....

One day, one glorious day,
you wake up and
feel your skin tingle again
and you forget just for an instant that
your heart is broken....

and it is a beginning.

Today is one of those days I have to be thankful for, that "instant" that may be over too soon until I remember all that is missed. Sometimes I try and think that Mother's Day won't be so bad... if and when I become a mother.

It is just the beginning.

And another bump! So quiet in here. :confused:

Let there be NOISE
 

In truth there is mercy
let it rain down on me
the rivers of sorrow
shed, that joy may be free

I surfaced from drowning
in the pool, none could see
glad the surface was broken
want to hold fast, reverie

Oh that feeling of Being
touching life, knowing thee
what a blessing to be here
choosing, Blessed, I shall be.


My DEAR Friends, please forgive my absence of late.....things have been quite heavy on many fronts, and I just could not do all. I am glad to come home and chime in. That poem Alffe bumped is wondrous, and I am blessed to have savored it carefully in thought. So much HAS come of these paths travelled in difficulty by all who here come. It is a blessing to know each and have this place of gathering.

I will strive to be more regular in arriving here to check on all and report in, OK?
