My "motor" is going too fast.....

Well,
all this extra energy is me going too much too fast...took a geodon tonight, like I did the night before as well.
Need to slow down a bit and try to focus better..I missed an appointment with one of my clients and forgot several important things....I find myslef back peddling.
Going to the gym, cleaning our house on saturday, staying on the computer for hours...all of these things make me worry.
~sigh
will wait to call the pdoc a few days to see how I do...being able to see it is half the battle I think.

((((bizi)))))

maybe a dumb question, but did all this start with the halloween candy? a change in your eating....?

you take care sweety. we are here for you. and i think it is great that you see it. :)

Mari 11-07-2006 02:28 AM

Dear Bizi,
How is your sleep? Maybe you need to get to bed earlier or sleep in for a few days. Does/Can sleep effect you?

Taking a few days off to hang around the house would help me.

I guess that you have your own things to do and you mentioned some of them.

I hope that the pdoc is helpful.
And yes, being able to see is most of the battle. Good job. :)

Hi Bizi,

Sounds like you need some R & R. Is Geodon the only med you take?

Call your p-doc, don't wait.

I hope today you are feeling better.

Hugs, Nikko

bizi 11-07-2006 10:53 AM

thanks you guys!
I did sleep in this morning and miss the gym though...
I stayed up last night doing billing and that is where I realised that I had messed yp...
I need to go to bed earlier...and yess have been eating too much sugar....and caffiene...
back to setting some healthy limits and try to do things in moderation. that is my goal today.
bizi
I take lamictal and ambien and now geodon as needed.

befuddled2 11-07-2006 11:58 AM

Hi Bizi,

I'm glad you slept in. Sometimes some extra sleep is all I need to set me straight but also when I've had too much caffiene I feel the same as you've described. I think it is good you can recognize it before it gets too far.

My day sucked.....
well ...I am exagerating...but did rant on the phone with my hubby for 10 minutes about how agitated I had been thru the whole day.
Usually things don't bother me and I go with the flow...today...everything annoyed me and I wanted to scream at a couple of my clients....
other than having some mud slide and some chocolate...if I can find out where I had my hubby hid it....I may even go to bed early...
But first off I have to go vote....
~sigh
bizi
I keep biting the inside of my lip so much that it has a raised scar permanently and then continue to re bite it almost every day...I want to have it removed...wonder if that is a costly procedure?

Hi Bizi,
http://www.thesmilies.com/smilies/confused0036.gifWhat's up? Have you called the pdoc?
Don't worry about the scar. It will fade away once you stop biting your lip. Can you find something else to do -- like chew gum or squeeze a little ball?

BTW, did you really go vote? You posted here at 8:00 Boston Time. What time did the polls close?
I voted on Friday. We had early voting.

I didn't think I could handle working today (no work last Fri) and voting -- too much on the same day. I have to take things easy.

Do what you do when you take things easy. Sleeping extra works for some people.
I hope that you stay safe. It is good to talk to your husband and keep him informed.

dear mari,
yes I did vote and we are an hour behind you guys but I was ignorant about the ammendments and just quicky voted for them.
I did not get to bed any ealier but watched some tv...and did some paper work while watching tv...so that releived some stress.
I forgot my 15 year old neices birthday , called her on sunday and felt so bad about that.Sang to her happy birthday...she lasughed!
WEnt to barnes anobles to get a gift certificate and ended up getting her a now 23 cd, Pop/ dance music..she will like it and a book on 7 effective habits for teens covey wrote it.
Hope that doesn't come acrooss wrong...she is brite and just needs some direction in her life.
I can't even think about the holidays jsut yet..need to come up with a plan...last year I made jewerly for the ladies of the family.
I want to buy a heifer and said them notes saying that we bought a heifer cow in our family namethat s what I would like to do. wonder how much they cost or maybe a goat....
anyway...that is what I will have to talk about with jeff to figure out what we are going to do.
would any one else be interested in pitching in to buy an animal for an african woman to raise and help them to be self sufficiant?
I am going to have to look into it.
bizi
ps the problem with my inside of my lip is that it protrudes so much that it is vicious cycle. bite it swollen scar tissue just makes it bigger and bigger...so I keep rebiting it which hurst like hello!
So someday I am having it looked at .
I feel better tonight, not as weeird or floaty..so I will hit the hay and try to get up to go to the gym tommorow. Habit is my stabilizing force.
thanks you guys for your support.
you are great!

Dear Bizi,
Heifers at this web site are $500.00 and I think that you can pick your continent. A water buffalo is $250.00.
If you can't afford a heifer or a water buffalo you can get some goats.
I think that this is a great way to do gifts for Christmas. You could still send home decorated cards or eat treats to a few special people.

A few times a year, I send my parents a basket of organic fruit. They love it and I am off the hook for presents.

Hi

Just wanted to pop in... saw this thread... hope you manage to "chill" slowly. Sounds like you are having a good time in part with the gifts. Good for you with the exercise, and trying to keep to routines - that helps big time!

perimenopausal????

Thank you so much for your replies.
I do think that I would like to buy some animals for christmas and I would also like to try and talk our small UU fellowship into buying a heifer as well.
I did not make it to the gym today...
I slept terribly last night...woke up in a cold sweat...I was drenched!
Wonder if I am starting menopause?
I am almost 44 and they say you can start having symptoms for 10 years before you actually go thru it completely.
Oh JOY!!!!!
Any one else out there have the night sweats related to bipol or other?

bizi 11-09-2006 12:10 PM

oh and I just started my period ...so that was contributing to my crabby mood as well.

Curious 11-09-2006 12:27 PM

and your night sweats.

your hormone levels might be changing bizi. one of the best things to do to help is the exercise you are doing and dietary changes. i'l have to go dig up my links...but soy has been known to help.

Mari 11-09-2006 11:35 PM

peri-menapause

Dear Bizi,
I am on the birth control pill -- these things are a bit different for me.
I am 44 now.
But my mom stopped her periods at 45.....

The last time I had night sweats I was detoxing from Xanax last summer -- I woke up at night and changed my shirt. My hair was soaking wet too. The whole thing felt strange. This happened a few nights.

Take care of yourself. I think that we learn to do this better than other people do. And sometimes I try to see it as an acquired gift.

(I guess that I am already getting in the mood to see my therapist tomorrow. She focuses on the postive. She even insists in her own talk in stating things in the positive.)

Mari
