I can feel it already with soreness, tight muscles and myofasical stiffness....neck, shoulders, arms & sacroiliac:p
Blech...:(:( I need to get back into my regular stretching program again. |
I log every time I hit 8 or more on the pain scale...
three 8's and one 10 so far this month. :( hang on Jo, it's a long way to next summer. :paperbag: |
Me too. It's why we take a "summer vacation" in November. :)

cooler up here too
Well I felt it in the car on the way home from my card making class tonight.....it was bloody freezing. I had to turn on the heater!!!!!!!!!!! eeeekk
We are going down to 0 at night now or below unless we get Chinook winds coming in then we can warm up to 15 or 19 One never can tell in Calgary as the mountains bring us some really weird weather one minute then nice as anything the next. It has hailed on one side of my house and not the other!! Please go away winter and bring back summer!! take care all.....I even wore a scarf tonight!! love and hugs, Victoria:hug: |
Hi everyone !
Ya the cold is bothering me too !! My shoulders and my feet are SO sore !! I'm hearing all of you !! It's getting cold here in Mass. very quickly.. they had snow up in Maine and in NH last night ! Victoria... keep that cold over there will ya !! I agree, that is why I go to Florida in January ! Nice and warm down there ! Isn't it strange how the barometer and the weather effect us ??!! Hang in there everyone ! All of us need to get together and have a group warm hug ! :grouphug: Dolfinz |
I feel ya.
It is totally creeping in here too. You know what's ridiculous? That Feldenkrais class I'm taking is in a freezing dance studio. Seriously!! In class we lay on yoga mats or wool blankets used in moving vans and there are people that actually get under the blankets as well!! It looks like naptime in there cos its so cold!! :o And I always heard hove important it is for dancers to be warm to perform... I hate it and I am about to go right now. We have been getting down in the 50s on some nights recently but we are having an Indian Summer day here in the Bay= 80 degrees, yet I have to bundle up for this class. (sorry to rant) |

I'm feeling it too.
I dread winter. The past 2 years has gotten worse for me.
I tried taking a walk last week and my legs were hurting so much, I didn't know if I could get home. You don't wear jeans either on walks. They don't give and therefore make it even harder to walk when you are in pain. Ada |

I used to LOVE winter, and part of me still likes crisp cold air first thing in the morning. then my muscles tense up, and things go bleeeech.
Time to start stretching (again.....) |
I'm sick of icy hands!!!!! (Or hand in my case...)
I've found that gloves with stick grip from Walgreens are helping around the house. The grip allows me to do fine motor moves despite the bulk/ cumbersome nature of the gloves. I posted a pic of my special Halloween clearance gloves here on the Tip thread. Also I've forgotten how well a brisk walk even just around the block can be for warming up those hands (even when its chilly out ) ! |
well the snow has arrived
Damn it all!! The snow and cold weather has arrived and it SUCKS. i hate wearing heavy jackets and the boots and snow and the damn cold it all just ticks me off! But then I am in Calgary so it could be 18 deg tomorrow due to a chinook...please warm winds come our way!!!!
love and hugs, Victoria:eek: |
Me too, Dabbo.
Love, love the cool air as I'm always on ice to take the pain down & swelling. I get achy when it turn cold & foggy & rain. Rarely use heat for fear of sweling & never use the heater due to sinus infections. However, I can see how the cold winters would tighten the muscles & increase the spasms. Cyndy Quote:
