well I couldn't seem to locate the self esteem test so I took the Hostile one instead......

Snapshot Reporthttp://www.queendom.com/te_images/reports/spacer.gifHostile Behaviorshttp://www.queendom.com/te_images/reports/spacer.gifhttp://www.queendom.com/te_images/re...raph_arrow.gif 27http://www.queendom.com/te_images/reports/spacer.gifhttp://www.queendom.com/te_images/re...er_general.gifYour responses indicate that you rarely exhibit hostile behaviors. In fact, you hardly react at all, likely choosing to let things go rather than push the issue. However, your calm demeanor does not mean that you are not hostile on the inside. Although harsh words and force are not positive ways to react to others, you may be losing out by not standing up for yourself when necessary. Consider the rewards of becoming more assertive.

That was a whole bunch of fun! *grin

Even though I thought 79 flippin' questions were a lot, I thought, what the heck. I scored a 90, which was pretty good. I really thought it would have been MUCH lower.

Mari 10-23-2008 02:10 AM

Bizi,
I took the procrastinator test. It was short with just 10 questions. I came out at 52 out of 100 -- -- right on target :D

According to your results, you are somewhat of a procrastinator. Your score indicates that you either procrastinate significantly in a specific area (or areas) of your life, or are a moderate procrastinator overall.
Whatever the case may be, this can become a serious problem.

Emotional intelligence:
Snapshot Report
Subscale percentile = 4http://www.queendom.com/te_images/reports/spacer.gifhttp://www.queendom.com/te_images/reports/spacer.gif%
http://www.queendom.com/te_images/reports/spacer.gifAccording to your self-report answers, your emotional intelligence is very poor. People who score like you do feel that they have trouble dealing with their own emotions and those of others. They struggle to overcome difficulties in their lives and they are unable to control their moods. It’s hard for them to understand how best to motivate themselves and reach their goals. In addition, they find social interactions quite difficult, for several reasons. They may have trouble allowing themselves to get close with others, finding it difficult to be vulnerable enough to establish intimacy. They also report having trouble offering support to others, likely due to the fact that they do not understand where others are coming from or they lack ideas about how best to help. Perhaps by working on your problem areas, you can become more confident in dealing with your own emotions and those of others.

On all that is good and holy:

Why are you doing this to yourselves.

The tests are not all that accurate anyway -- you need a psychologist trained specifically in these tests to get an accurate score.

I am bipolar.
I have bipolar.

Any tests -- including expensive tests supervised by someone highly trained -- are going to skew off thanks to
1. my medications which help me tremednously in some ways and greatly handicap me in other ways.
Some of this things would not change even if I were to go off the meds because I have been on them so long

2. the bipolar

3. lifestyle I have developed to accommodate the bipolar

4. who I am

What is with the tests? Really??
Are you trying to feel worse?
M.

I took the Emotional Intelligence test:

Snapshot Report
Self-report Component
Subscale IQ score = 132
Subscale percentile = 98

132
According to your self-report answers, your emotional intelligence is excellent. People who score like you do feel that they have almost no trouble understanding and dealing with their own emotions and those of others.

They have an easy time overcoming difficulties in their lives and they are able to control their moods. It’s easy for them to motivate themselves to overcome obstacles and reach their goals.

In addition, they find social interactions to be quite easy and fulfilling, for several reasons. They are comfortable allowing themselves to get close with others, and feel comfortable being vulnerable enough to establish intimacy.

They also report having an easy time offering support to others; this is likely due to an empathetic nature and a clear mind when it comes to offering good advice.
This is one of my gifts in real life.
After hubby describes someone from work, I can ask him a question and then provide an almost complete psychological profile on the person.
Then I give hubby advice on how to deal with this person.

I think that hubby keeps me around for this reason -- big help figuring out how to respond to people.

I'm good with my students. They feel like I "get" them -- but in a way that is ok for our teacher / student setting.

One problem with this -- I am surrounded by emotions. I am flooded with the emotions of myself and others.
I can walk into a room and feel the emotions and need to leave sometimes.

I took the test so that no one would think I am a contrarian.
Sorry if I was rude in my earlier post.

I still think that the tests are crap and tell us what we already know anyway.

okkkk

i just did the emo IQ and the Sensuality Tests :D

i scored slightly below avg on the first, and high on the second. i scored decently but not great when i did the self-esteem test (better than expected... but i was in a "strong" mood and very centered when i did it). i'll bet if i did it now i'd come out low....

i note a few things about these tests...

1. in the emo IQ test i found several questions (many) which were related to self esteem. if you do not have decent self esteem or aspects of it, your score EIQ score will be hurtin' for it.

2. in the sensuality test, many of the multiple choices did not give me an adequate choice that would match what i would do... or feel... or think. so basically i found it pretty bogus. the results were probably about right, but let's say i faked the ones that didn't have good matches... pretty bogus.

3. i have found self-esteem tests in general to be HUGELY subject to variance - and this applies to the EIQ one muchly as well - depending on my STATE.

have you guys ever considered, geez, if i'm REAL DEPRESSED i'm gonna score way different than if i'm HYPO or yet more, MANIC? You KNOW our self-impressions and our self-images vary during those states.

personally, i've often taken similar tests 2ce. 1ce "polarizing" for depression and 1ce polarazing for strong hypomania. AMAZING the differences in results. these are too long i'm not going to bother. at least not now.

and, even discounting the bipolar. people have moods. ALL people. i reserve the right to act different in different moods and not necessarily to have a predilection for one way or the other of acting. so, again, in many test questions, my answer would be "it depends" ... this happened to me taking the Myers Briggs even. i remember one question. would i prefer to spend an evening at a party or reading a book. well it DEPENDS WHAT MOOD i'm in (not to mention what book, and what/whose party)!!! indeed, my introvert-extravert axis came out in the center... and the questions i left blank were apparently related to that axis. what a surprise.

but these Queendom tests i had a lottttt of it depends... in a lottt of the answers... even for reasons other than mood. how a person affects me, for instance, depends a lot on the relationship (or lack of one) i have with that person. if the question does not specify... the answer i give is somewhat arbitrary.

THESE TESTS MISS THE MARK on SO MUCH of this stuff... what i consider natural variance... and moreover, in the case of episodes, bipolar variance.

so much for that. i stayed up all night (not for this) and now i'm tired. i have to stay up all day so i can reset my sleeping to this side of the ocean time. ever since my all nighter waiting for the florida results for the elections, i've been living on pacific time which is preposterous... 9 hours off from me!!! eeks!!! but i lived in FL for so long... home away from home... i had to know how it was gonna go.... but i digress.

overall, with the tests... i was not impressed.

I am certain in your case the result happened to coincide... with reality. What you state about your husband and your "home counseling services" to him hee hee certainly seems to reflect that.

I agree that the tests are crap.

I disagree strongly that they tell us what we already know. I believe that the results of these tests are highly arbitrary, partly because of our variances, but also partly because of the way the test questions are designed (or fail to be designed).

The way i see it, these guys want to sell, and they don't care if they describe you accurately or not. So it's russian roulette.

So you guys who got 4's and 13's and such ... skroo that. think for yourselves instead ;) and you'll know what you need to work on.

i think there's an ESP test... i might take that... hah! should be interesting. Perhaps i'll come back and foretell all of your futures :p

Thank you mari and waves.
I guess I like quizes, confirms my personal beliefs about my poor self esteem and poor emotional IQ....I found that test really hard to take, I could not figure out the photos questions....made me feel like I was autistic, or aspergers....
Since I thoroughly believe that I am flawed, I need proof to bring forth to my therapist...so that she believes me.
She has to believe me before we can work on a solution.
Does this make sense, if she doesn't believe me then how can she help me? Like I am going to have to prove to her that I am lazy....it is like having her validate me. Hubby just thinks I am in a low place right now and I am worrying about getting hypomanic....and am sounding a bit narcisistic these days....me me me, blah blah blah

Bizi,
I do not think that you are flawed.
And you are certainly not narcissistic.
You can re-learn to recognize the beauty of your full glory.

These tests are goofy Internet tests and do not reveal anything useful.

Maybe just talk to the therapist about what is bothering you.

here are my results

Self-Esteem Test
Self-esteem is essential to our ability to function in a healthy way. Without the foundation of a solid sense of self, we are unable to take the risks and make the decisions necessary to lead a fulfilling, productive life. Low self-esteem can corrode our love lives, careers, family bonds, and most importantly, our internal sense of well-being.
Snapshot Report
Sense of Self-Worth
83
Your results indicate that your sense of self-worth is very healthy. You rarely, if ever, put yourself down or fall victim to self-depreciating statements. There are certain attitudes and beliefs that have been found to contribute to and "feed" a positive self-image, and you appear to have most of them. Examples would be believing that you deserve to be loved or respected, believing that you’re good enough for someone, and focusing on your good qualities rather than only your perceived faults. While you may not necessarily feel all of these things all of the time, your opinion of yourself is quite positive. This is a healthy attitude to have, as a poor sense of self-worth can hold you back from pursuing your goals, cause you unnecessary stress, and even become self-fulfilling prophecies.

I have to say I was expecting this score. I am the type of person who refuses to settle for less in my life. I am forever striving hard to stay up there mood wise. Even if people try to bring me down. I am able to shake it off a bit and go " hey you know what, I may have failed, but you know what, that is part of success. sometimes you have to fail before you can succeed. In other words if you fall, get up and go on the horse again. That is what I do. And after I make it, I feel on top of the world!
I am more up and I am down. But Sometime I am a little too much up there. :p

Sharla
