Prayers needed for missing child at son's school
 

Hi everyone,


There is a 15 yr old boy at my son's school who has been missing since Oct 13th.

He had an argument with his parents for taking his xbos away and he left his home by bike.

The police have found his bike but no Brandon... they fear that he has been lured away by someone..

Apparently he was addicted to playing Call of Duty online and his parents thought it was getting out of control.
That's why the police fear someone may have lured him with a promise to join "their" team for the online game.

He is a classmate of my son's.
He is a shy student, never in trouble .

They have had helicopters flying over.. they have had searches... they have even contacted microsoft in hopes they they can get info on the others players and their names.

They are organizing a search party for tomorrow.

I'm just asking for prayers for the safe return for this boy.

Oh my gosh. How terrible. I can't start to understand the grief this child's parent's are going through.

Please know that I'll pray for him, and hope that's he's found soon. I hope your son is coping with this and isn't dwelling too much on the possible consequences.

Said a prayer for this young man and family... also went and hugged mine. WOW I can only imagine how frightened they are.

They are resuming a search this morning.

There is extensive media coverage, the school had a vigil yesterday with prayers etc.

They also televised the vigil.. it's soo sad... my son is sadened by it , we're keeping an eye on him since they've had soo much media coverage and the kids are feeling a little weird with the tv cameras there...

It makes a parent really hold their kids close and to really be aware of the internet use and video game use.

I don't allow my son to play those games and the games will not be allowed in the house.. I'm just feeling like it could happen to anyone.... be aware of what your kids are doing online...

I'm going to hug my sleeping kids now..

oh I am so sad to read this and join the prayers for his safe return. I pray too for his family....I cannot begin to imagine what they are going through:(

My prayers too. I am mom to an avid gamer. Is very scary.

The police have decided to call of the search later today.


Microsoft has now complied with releasing their info on players names etc, and they have added to the reward money.

As it stands now the reward is $50,000.

They are will be concentrating their search on the cyber end of it.

As a parent i would want them to continue the ground search... but... they haven't found anything which means which is good news.... it's just tough..

This boy only lives a couple of blocks away from us, you really don't want to let your kids out of sight.

Having a special needs daughter i'm finding it extremely difficult explaining stranger danger... she would leave in a heartbeat if someone offered her candy .

This week hubby asked dd (8) what she would do if a stranger approached her and offered her candy and her response was.."yummy".

So needless to say she is always with us..

I cannot imagine the nightmare that this family is going through.... everyone in this community has banded together to try to find this boy...

The temps are falling now and its raining pretty hard...

I can't get him out of my head either.

Hopefully we hear something soon, the longer he's missing the scarier it becomes.

Awww, such a sad situation. Parents trying to be responsible, and now this happens.

I hope he's at a friend's house, but I'm sure they've checked there already. Praying he turns up very soon.
