Thanks you two.

It looks nice and vibrant!!!!! I have to tell you, I was in a depressed state also earlier this year. I started turning grey in my twenties, so I started dying my hair. Well at the rate my hair would grow, I was dying it almost:hug: every three weeks. Oh I tried auburn, then one that was sort of purplish, then went to black. Now when you go grey, or really white in my case, the roots really show up when you dye it black. So in my depressed state I went to the salon and told them to cut out all of the dyed hair. My hair was normally shoulder length, but I went to the extreme and I think I measured my strands at about 1 1/2 inches. Was my husband shocked. He looked at me like he didn't know who I was. Which immediately lifted my spirits, ha ha ha ha ha.

Mickey,

that's funny. How is your depression now?

Nice cut!! Looks really good!!! :)

I have a tendency to cut my hair then have someone else fix it when I feel out of control... For the last few years my hair is about the only thing that I have had absolute control of....

Thank you Abbie,

I use to cut my own hair too but did a lousy job at it. I thought it was so nice to have it all done, wash, cut, style.

Thank you Bizi,

I sometimes get tired of my blonde hair and wondered what it would be like to have dark hair. Dark hair would not go with my complexion though.

Very nice haircut! You look great.

My hair has been every color of the rainbow lol. Literally. Until I turned 22 it was either purple, red, white blond, or a mixture lol. My son has purple highlights right now. I figure its not permanent, makes him feel like he stands out, and lets him feel like he is rebeling in a way that doesnt cause mom ulcers, so I'm all for it. :p

befuddled2 11-02-2008 05:55 PM

When I was a kid I rebelled with smoking. Had I realized how hard it was for me to quit I would have kicked myself in my own butt. :)

Bdix 11-02-2008 06:08 PM

Yep, me too. To this day, quitting was the hardest thing I have ever had to do.

befuddled2 11-02-2008 09:14 PM

How long have you been quit? I'm coming up on 4 years.

I quit 12 years ago; started again for a year, and then quit again 8 years ago. For me its a completely psychological addiction. To this day; despite the fact that the smell makes me wonder how I ever started in the first place, if I see someone smoking and Im having a horrible day, I will crave one temporarily.

Wish I could get that sort of addiction towards health food or something...lol.

befuddled2 11-02-2008 11:24 PM

Wow, that is a long quit. If you'd like some support for those times you think about smoking try: woofmang.com It is a smoking cessation support site. My screen name there is Barbara K. Kevin the web developer is a really nice dude and is active in the posts there.

I know what you mean about that type of addiction for healthly food. Since I quit smoking I am now addicted to Hershey kisses.

Oh that is lovely!
I wish I can get my hair to do things like that :)

I quit smoking a week ago. tODAY IS one of the hardest days. Once after my explosion I gave it up for 18 years. I aam using nicorette gum as an aid. Thank God my appetite hasn't increased. I have been really depressed so lately haven't had much of an appetite.
I keep on telling myself there are far more problems connected with smoking than not smoking. That seems to help me get through the minutes

Thank you Yellowfever.

Bobby, hang in there with not smoking. It will get easier.

Dear Bobby:
Would it be possible to have your housekeeper do some deep cleaning; like shampooing the furniture and carpets, and washing the drapes? I found that the first 6 months were increasingly harder if I even got the slightest wiff of a ciggerette.

A whole week! That's outstanding. Now you need to relearn how to enjoy a cup of coffee without a smoke, and change the other habbits that will make you miss them as well. (I had to quit taking the kids for long drives when i quit again because it was very hard for me to be in the car without a smoke in my fingers.)

You are doing great!! Take it 1 minute at a time.

mymorgy 11-03-2008 05:07 PM

I couldn' t have my housekeeper do that. I always have at least one window open and don;t smell any smoke. I don't want to get near a smoker for a while. It might be too tempting. As i said I have an unopened pack in my apartment. I feel physically so much better. I wonder if it will give me more energy. This is the second or third time I have given it up. I really wasn't enjoying it anymore
Bobby
