How much is gas where you are?

Here in central Utah the price of gas last time I filled up was $2.25.

I've heard it's much cheaper elsewhere.

What is it where you live?

lor 11-15-2008 07:00 PM

$1.82 in north west Ohio

I'm sorry Twink, but I have a feeling somewhere else it's cheaper than here.

Kitty 11-15-2008 07:30 PM

Regular unleaded is $1.87/gal. here in Georgia.

Blessings2You 11-15-2008 07:34 PM

$1.87 in Central Arkansas!!

:cool:It's a $1.87/gal here in Central Arkansas and I hope it keeps going down! I think the oil giants just realized that their sales had fell way off. I'm sure it takes time to get back from the bottom to the top and in this case after they kept raising the price and people bought less and less it finally got back to them that "Hey, no one is buying our gas, we're losing our butts here", haha...whatever the reason was I'm glad to see it happen, I can't believe the difference the price makes on how you feel at gas up time. I just hope it doesn't flip back around and go back up again, maybe they have learned how to keep it at an average price we all can tolarate. So Rock On! America!!

tamiloo 11-16-2008 03:58 AM

Here in Northern Utah is ranges from 2.18 to 1.89...cool...:sunchair:

Vonn07 11-16-2008 09:35 AM

We pay $5.69 a gal for gas. It will be that way till spring when the fuel barges are able to get up the river after it breaks up. It went down from almost $6.00 a gal. Some other villages are paying up to $10.00 a gal

CayoKay 11-16-2008 07:00 PM

New Belize City pump prices as of 5 Nov:

$7.41 - Premium ($3.71 US)
$7.05 - Reg. Gas ($3..53) US)
$6.96 - Diesel ($3.48 US)

this is a really nice drop for us... the price at the pump doesn't go down until the oil tanker reaches our port.

up 'til last week's delivery, the price was over $10 a gal ($5 US)

Rochelle...remember our little road trip we took this past spring to Zions? I can't really remember how much per gallon it was but I know it cost us over 80 bucks to fill that tank on our Caravan...yesterday I filled it and it cost a little over 30 bucks to fill it. With the Smiths discount of 15 cents we paid 1.75...cool.

We need to take a road trip!!!

Tell you a secret....shhhh...I never learned how to pump gas. :o

It's DH job but one of these days I will have him show me how to do that Just In Case as one day I may have to! :(

tkrik 11-25-2008 03:09 PM

I am so moving!!! We are still in the $2.00+ range.

lor 11-25-2008 04:47 PM

It has went down alot, since this thread was started. A couple people said the reason is that 'the oil guys' have figured out ppl won't buy much, if it costs too much; thats true! Everyone now knows they don't always have to drive too too much. For instance why does Sarah, Lisa & Debbie all have to ride to school with their moms, when they don't live too far from each other. Lisa can walk to Sarah's house. Heck...I walked all the way to school in subfreezing temps & snow (but not all uphill :winky:). Also, we now realize we can plan our days so we don't have to drive back & forth several times. I don't even drive (have epilepsy) but I get by (but I admit, there's lots to do that wouldn't get done if my family members weren't here to help).

BTW: This morning I saw gas for $1.69 (Like I said, it was a family member (my DH) who took me to work)

suzyqz_2007 11-25-2008 05:22 PM

I bet nobody can beat what dh paid for gas yesterday! :D

He paid 6 cents a gallon! Yep you saw that right! Paid not saved 6 cents a gallon!!! LOL It had to be some kind of mistake or something but he used the grocery store discount card and the receipt showed a savings of $1.50 per gallon! :holysheep:

We use the card every time we shop but seriously I doubt they'd offer $1.50 off a gallon of gas! Needless to say he said he got the receipt and got out of there quick. LOL :OuttaHere:

Now if only we can come across deals like that on our way to Tennessee tomorrow!

lor 11-25-2008 06:13 PM

suzyqs, Do you go to Kroger? We get those points too so dh, ds & dd go there.

(suzyqs, Did you notice above I said I had epilepsy? Did you know that Bud Abbott did too? (I remembered that when I saw the bottom of your post))

The store is called Randalls...it's like Kroger.

I'll have to go back and read...didn't see you mention epilepsy...didn't know he did too.

ewizabeth 11-25-2008 10:04 PM

DITTO !

$1.85/gal....but we are limiting our gas purchases to one $50/month...which we thought was impossible...but it is working!

YEAH:D
