Weekend Check in November 29

Greetings,
How are you?
Good news? Other news?

I walked two days in a row. Maybe I will do yoga tomorrow and turn that into 3 days in a row of exercise.

Tonight I am making pumpkin oatmeal in the crock pot to have for breakfast tomorrow. I never made it before but Bobi said that her kids like it.

I need to clear out some clutter, especially in my work space. http://bestsmileys.com/working/1.gif
That would make work and the rest of my life go more smoothly.

I hope that you are all well.

Mari

They love it. I've made it several times since you posted that recipe! (makes my morning easier too!)

I went shopping yesterday. (I HATE shopping, and I hate crowds even more, but there were a few sales I couldn't pass up on stuff I couldn't buy at regular prices) It was horrible. I was able to get 2 very nice digital camera's for the girls at Toys R Us for dirt cheap, and then I got each of the boys a copy of a game they play at school that is fantastic (Oregon Trail is what its called) at another little local bookstore that wasn't very crowded. That was all I could take though. There were several more items at Walmart I wanted to try and get, but there wasn't room to breathe in there, people were insane, and I didn't even attempt it.

Hope everyone is surviving the aftermath of thanksgiving! :p

I went to Bible study today. I'm thinking about having a beer with some friends after awhile.

I had a good few days.

Yesterday one of my sisters and I went to a couple of stores.

I bought a game that my mom is giving Derrick for Christmas.

And some shoes. And on thanksgiving somethings at walgreens.

I went to a girl friends house last night, she has a meditation garden and a pit fire, the weather was perfect to sit and enjoy the conversation and wine and snackies....and of course the fire!
This was the first time that we did this together.
I am so glad that we were able to do this.
jsut had some left over spinach mashed potatoes, yum.
came back from getting my hair permed, the best one in a long time at aveda, the school. it is very short now.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Sorry about your wrist.

Thanks you all. Bizi, I don't know what I did to my wrist. It doesn't hurt as bad this morning. I may have strained it with taking out the chicken at an odd angle.

Well we have a new member of the family.
Her new name is Hazel.
She is 7 months old and likes to play with a toy spider.
She is a calico also with one leg almost all orange.
She is exploring the one room that she is in, supposed to change rooms to let the other cat get used to the new cats smells etc.
It has been 10 years since we had a new cat. Harriet will have a tuff time getting used to this cat, as she is very territorial.
I will try to post some pictures.
nice to see jeff with a smile on his face....

She's adorable Bizi and such nice markings. I'm sure this is the best thing for Jeff and you. Not sure how Harriet will like it. There will probably be a lot of hissing at first but they'll settle in eventually

I love the way the 2nd picture looks of the new cat. The close up of the grey kitten is so adorable. Thank you for sharing.

My weekend had to end with a bang. My granddaughter got hurt, in the
cross fire of a fight between my son and her mother. Poor thing now
has stitches in her head. But at least I was available to drive the crew
to the hospital to get her taken care of.

I just wish I could help solve all the money problems sometimes. They
have a chance to move to one of our really nice houses. And things
are going wrong. Because my like daughter-in-law got tired of the
office that handles HUD pulling stunts, and the last requirement wasn't
finished in time. Because they changed the date to late to take care
of it. So my son didn't know till it was late. And its really his fault anyway.

So that is just going to set wrong. I'm going to see if I can make the
Hud office give them a extension tomorrow.

Donna

befuddled2 12-01-2008 02:16 AM

Donna,

It sounds like a mess with the HUD thingy. I'm sure you'll be able to get an extension. I hope so anyway. You are a dertermined person to get it though.

Mari 12-01-2008 02:48 AM

Bizi,
That's a nice kitty.
I hope that she gets accepted as part of the family soon.

Donna,
Good luck with the HUD bureaucrats.

Mari
