asking for prayers for ada and bill.............
i just spoke with ada.....her husband had a stroke this morning...they life flighted him to denver (two hours away from their home) where they had to do surgery as he was hemmoraging in his brain..........he made it through the surgery but is still asleep...??? they don't know if that is from the stroke or the anesthesia. the next 12 hours will tell.....he is in critical condition..
please send up some prayers for bill and ada...........she will be staying in denver. |

Thank you so much for letting us know about this. I am glad that you talked to Ada and found out what was going on. Will you be talking to her again? If you do...Please send her good thoughts and prayers from me. Tell her that she and Bill are definitely on my Prayer list, and in my thoughts, and that I am sending her so many hugs, she should be able to feel them all the way from here to Denver! Do you know if Susan will be coming to stay with her there? I am hoping and praying so, as I don't think that she needs to be alone right now. If not Susan, since she does have the boys....then someone? Ada has been through so much, and lost so many people in her life.....and is away from all of the rest of her Family. I understand how that is, and how hard that can make things. Ada is such a strong person. She really and truly is. I am hoping and praying that her strength keeps up through this trying time. I worry for her, just as I am worried about Bill. Maybe even more for her right now, because Bill has gotten good care, and has had done what can be done, and has all the docs keeping eagle eyes on him ready to do whatever else they can that needs to be done for him that they can do. A lot is up to Bill now...and we all have to wait and see. That is exactly why I am so worried about Ada, if that makes any sense to any one at all? As strong as she is and has been, she is just coming out of a very severe depression....and she has a lot of things going on with her own health....and will probably stop taking care of her self and just be focused on Bill. Which is what she SHOULD be doing....but? That is why I am so hoping that she will have someone there to help Her, too. Anyway...I am very glad that you were able to find this out, and I really hope that you will be able to let us know anything else that you might hear from her or her family? I know that right now, talking on the phone probably isn't a priority to her, but just incase you do hear from her, please please please send her all of my Love? I am hoping and praying that Bill makes it through this....and that Ada does too. Thanks again, Claudia. You are one super-terrific person...I hope you know that. I hope that you are doing OK too? And that Frank is holding his own and doing at least a little bit better? This just seems to be being a very ruff end to the year all of a sudden. Hopefully things will get better for Bill, for Ada, for Frank, for you, and for all of us very soon. I hope. ((hugs)) Jose |

it is funny, i called ada on wed. night and we gabbed for about two hours..........well into the night for me...lafff
then the next day she called me about bill....she has been through a lot for sure ....... yes, susan is with her, but only for a bit, as she still has to go to work.....there will be someone with her tho......travis will be bringing their truck for her, as she is going to stay in denver for the duration.....she is in a motel now, but there is a church that has a home for people who need to stay with loved ones at the hospital, and it is just becoming vacant today....so she will stay there...sort of like a ronald mcdonald place i think................i am just glad she will have a place to stay and not have to worry about the cost.............. please keep the prayers coming in for ada and bill...... |

Thank you so much for letting us all know about dear Bill. My thoughts and prayers are with him and that the area that is effected by the stroke will allow for a good fast recovery and quality of life for Bill. This is a very loving family with a very strong support system. Ada is in good hands with her daughter, son-in-law and the boys. If she is staying at some place even similar to the Ronald McDonald house, I'm sure she is going to meet and make fast and furious lovely people there. They are there to help her. Claudia, I'm sure you will do your best to keep in touch even though this difficult during a crisis. Do keep us posted as much as you can here on the forum. I'm so relieved that Ada came back to us just in the knick of time. I would be so distressed if she would be going through this without her longtime RSD family. Claudia, you are such a great friend! Sure seems like it is one thing after another for some huh??? Makes me wonder sometimes why some have to go thru so much grief in their lives & others just don't at all. I have a friend I had from grade school & so far they just haven't had any grief it seems. They are good people too & I am really happy for them, but makes one wonder why..............some & not others.
Of course they have my thoughts & prayers that all comes as it should for them. I am really sorry that they are going thru what they are at this time. My heart is going out to Ada especially cause I agree with what Jose said, what Bill is going thru is out of our hands & in God's as all sounds like everything that could be done has been & now it is all but a time of waiting for him. Will pray Ada can & will stay strong for whatever the outcome may be. Thanks Claudia for letting us all know............. DebbV |
