Snowing in Vegas!

I don't believe it; it is snowing in Vegas!!

Supposed to be on it's way here but we are hoping "what happens in Vegas STAYS in Vegas"!! This time anyhow.

We are supposed to have snow here tomorrow and a chance of snow all week!

At least when we get snow it is gone in a few hours so not bad. Last Winter we didn't get any snow at all which was wonderful! :)

In the forties today and a cloudy, ugly day which is really rare here thank goodness as we love the sunshine.

How's your weather??

legzzalot 12-15-2008 04:45 PM

All last week it rained, yesterday it was in the 30's today in the 60's and they call for rain the rest of the week. That's it I'm moving to AZ!

I'm sorry to hear that they're getting snow in Vegas.

Over here in the UK, we haven't had that much snow yet however it is really cold today and very windy. All day yesterday, it rained and I don't think it ever got light all day!

I don't have MS but have a similar disorder that weather affects and I am dreading more of this weather!! My pain is always worse when it's winter and always makes all of my pain worse! I can't wait until the summer months are here again!

i bet the strip looks so pretty with the flakes coming down.

brrrr...cold cold here in north texas. wind chill has it in the single digits.

Koala77 12-15-2008 05:38 PM

It's cold here where I live in Oz as well! 3 weeks into summer and the temperature is still only around 70F. http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/i...er/36_1_63.gif

I do live in the southern most state....the one closest to the South Pole ..... and it never gets really hot here.....but......

The northern states have temperatures up in the high 80's, and I'm just waiting patiently for some of those temperatures to start drifting down this way. http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/i...ey_sungldm.gif

Its about 40F or so, breezy, and overcasthere on the west side of Houston, . They have a winter weather advisory for freezing rain that is likely one county to our north and west for tonight. Since temps at our house are routinely 2-5 degrees colder than what is predicted, I fully expect to wake up to a truck encased in ice when I hit the road at 5:45am tomorrow morning to head for my MRI at 7am.

Snow last week...freezing rain this week...in Houston. I blame global warming...

Snow in Vegas, I bet it was a pretty sight at night.

We had 70 degrees today with lots of sunshine...thought I was back in Tucson! :)

karousel 12-15-2008 09:24 PM

You can send the snow this way! Today it was 40, windy and rainy so I stocked more wood in the garage hoping we will get some cold and snowy weather soon.

Sure would like to see some of that global warming right now! It was warm yesterday, where'd it go? Dh is already fussing about it's going to be cold in the morning when he goes to work! LOL

Last week it was snowing to beat The band in New Orleans..

It doing the usual spring/fall/winter dance here in Ohio...60 degrees today...30 tomorrow. Next week 68 then 30s.. My MS hates this kind of weather and me, right now..

Enjoy your snow, while it lasts, Janie..:D

tkrik 12-15-2008 10:38 PM

Yikes! Becareful Janie, it's coming your way. Mountains, above 5,000 ft are supposed to get between 12 and 25 inches of snow. Want to go skiing, say Thursday or Friday? LOL.

AZjanie 12-16-2008 11:01 AM

We woke up today and looked out the window and no snow! :D

We looked toward the foothills and the Hualapai Mountain range and there is snow there. That's as close as I want to get to it.

I remember shoveling and days when we had the ice storms in Iowa and Ohio and my car looked like a popsicle!

I always dreaded the trip to and from work with tire chains and a couple times in the ditch because of ice storms!

Now I am retired but still don't want to see the nasty white stuff. Snow and rain are four-letter words to us desert rats.

Twinkletoes 12-16-2008 11:10 AM

I don't know what the temp is today, but 2 nights ago it dipped BELOW ZERO!!! Yikes!

LavandulaCanadensis 12-21-2008 01:24 AM
