Judge Judy and SSDI
I was bored & tired and didn't feel like changing the channel when Judge Judy came on so I got interested in this one case she was hearing. The lady was on SSDI for Bi Polar and PTSD. Judge Judy asked how she paid her bills and she said that she paid them from her SSDI. To which Judge Judy's response was "oh, the taxpayers foot the bill for you".
Maybe I'm mistaken but I thought that SSDI was based on what you've earned and contributed all your working life. If you haven't worked and contributed to the SS system then you cannot collect SSDI. Am I wrong? Is Judge Judy just a you-know-what? |
Isn't that what she gets paid the big bucks to be?
Correct me if I'm wrong: wasn't she the one who told someone with MS that she looked fine to her, or something like that? |
Yes, she said something along those lines. She's so rude....and many times her ignorance shines right through. She's trying so hard to act a certain way that she doesn't think about what she's saying...or how it sounds.
|
I heard her tell a lady once that SSDI was a gift! I would like to gift my foot up her rear. I love this gift to which I am limited to live on...I love this gift that I have which caused me to not be able to work.
Do not get me started on Judge Judy Jerk...I've been in plenty of courtrooms and I have never seen judges act the way they do on tv. Well except one and he was just funny!lol |
Judge Judy often acts like a B*(&^. I really do think she's either ignorant or just a blowhard for the camera. I saw that program when she said that to the PWMS.
|
I don't watch these shows anymore. I did love her husband when he played a judge on Tv though!
|
I don't watch them...but my husband does!! I can't stand those reality shows...how real are you going to be with a camera in your face?
|
I know! I truly stopped watching when my brother was contacted to be on Divorce Court and when Jim was in his semi-conscious coma he dreamt out loud, mind you, that he slept with Judge Marilyn Milian from the People's Court. Yep, I had to listen while he did his civic duty. :p
|
I could go on Judge Judy and take a few family members...by the time we finished she would need that 'gift' SSDI that we all worked for years...lol
I would end up in jail and then on Judge Mathis and he would refer me to Judge Hatchett and then I could go to Judge Milian and repeat the cycle...how much do you think I'd make on TV.:D I could tell her she needs to sit in a porch swing and look at the real world...take her down in some o these swamps and leave her for 30 minutes. I told my DH that I would take him swamp fishing...his very firm hell no told me he didn't really want to go.lol |
Sorry I just have one thing to say about Judge Judy :vomit2:
|
Isn't she a non-MSer? And a B#@$%? Isn't the B part why she is on tv? Is carppy SSDI in her future? No, I doubt it. Will she have to try to rent and eat on it? She's gave up being real and became a TV personality. Her and Pee-Wee Herman. Was Farmer Green-Jeans a REAL farmer? It's like Fantasy Island. "Boss, Boss!"
|
Judge Judy and her ilk are a product of our society which demands to be entertained by people being rude and nasty to each other. I'm not sure when it started, but I noticed it first with Roseanne. Nothing more hysterical than people taking verbal shots, insulting, and making fun of each other. Wait, maybe it was Maude.
Anyway, "we" like to watch as other people get away with saying the mean and sarcastic things we, on a baser level, would LIKE to say. Don't say you've never said, "Boy, this is what I SHOULDA said to him!" The more outrageous, the better. So it seems. |
If Judge Judy says that SSDI is a "gift" than I would like to regift it to her along with the reasons I am on it. ;) :D
