My little girl is hurting...
A really big change that has come into her life...that makes me sad...because I don't like to see anyone I love hurt. She told her boy friend it was over and to pack his things and go. We have been with her into the wee hours of the morning and on the phone offering her comfort. She will be ok; she has lots of friends that are supporting her decision. She has great coping skills so she will do well. Just getting past these first few weeks will be hard. He packed his stuff and put it by the door but he hasn't come back to get it. She only did this yesterday afternoon...
Its heart wrenching to watch your children go through pain that hopefully will make them grow. She has a quote on her facebook page that says..."Love does not consist in gazing at each other, but in looking outward together in the same direction." -Antoine de Saint-Exupery. She knows that being with was getting her nowhere and it had even pulled her down. As much as it hurts...I'm glad she was strong enough to do it...I love that little girl!! Tomorrow I'm going with Krista my daughter…I have always called you my little one…and she towers over me…I get to watch her cut her hair...it’s coming off to at least her shoulders. She needed a change. Her hair is so long she will have tons to donate. This is a picture of her with her boxer/pit puppy...Daisey Mae... http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/j...DSCN1776-1.jpg |
She's a beautiful girl Tami and sounds alot like you..she has the courage of her convictions. And cuddling that darling puppy will help her get thru these next weeks. Hoping for an after picture with the new "doo". *grin

I agree with Alffe Tamiloo. Your DD is beautiful!
I can remember back to when my DD was in her late teens and she had her heart broken for the first time, and I remember the terrible pain she went through. All I did was be there for her. I didn't put "him" down. I didn't tell her she'd find some-one else. I didn't give her any advice at all! I was just there! Her heart did mend after a period of time, as they usually do, but it wasn't easy on her. As tempting as it was, I was so glad afterwards that I hadn't said anything about her exBF that might have complicated her healing process. At least all decisions came from DD without any outside influence, and I think that made it easier for her to accept. |
I will for sure try to get an after picture. :D
A little over a year ago my Mom gave her her house and property. So she lives through the field...over the river and through the woods as I call it. She going to be 23 in February so she has plenty of time to live her life. She dropped out of college when she met her bf and so now she is looking into what it will take to get her back in....the picture is a year old so the pup is a big pup...but she loves her Mommy and knows something is up...dogs are wonderful friends. Hopefully I'll post this afternoon with a new Krista picture!! |
Congratulations to her for making the hard decision.
I know her heart is breaking. Mom's too.  Here's to 2009 being a new year with a new and happy Krista. A new hairdo is a wonderful start. I can't wait to see the pictures. She is a beauty. |
YEA! For the new hairdo. For some reason, it signals new beginnings for us ladys, and makes us feel better. Thank you tammi for sharing that with us. And, of course, you, and your dd are in my prayers. The Lord is good to us even in adversity....

she is so pretty :)!!!!!! I too agree with what everybody else had said. I'm glad she is considering going back to college. What was her major?

Tammy, your DD is gorgeous, and has the smarts to go with the looks too! ;)
Koala, parents are great at that, many times no words need to be spoken at all  |
Ah yes. Tammy, she will mend. It's a rocky time I know. My daughter's been though it a couple of times and it's like the end of the world, but she got got through it in time. Good to keep busy and perhaps surround herself with some female company for a while... do some girly fun stuff.

Times like these give you pain, but you also must be very proud of her. Your DD is beautiful inside and out and it also shows that you've been a great mom. Anxious to see the new hairdo. Your little girl is growing up to be beautiful young lady.

Well, she did...they cut off 11 inches to donate to Locks of Love. I took pictures of the whole thing including her face when she was holding her pony tail.
She then had her hair colored a dark chocolate color…however when she stands in the sun it has the coolest burgundy kinda purple color to it. I can’t post pictures yet because she took her camera with her to go and celebrate with friends. Life is good. I went over to her home tonight to let her dogs out to play and to feed and water them. While watching the dogs play in the snow I saw what was left of her ex’s cell phone…sim card and all smashed on the patio. Well, I guess I’ll call T-Mobile and see what it will take to have her family plan reduced by one phone and less minutes. She was going to wait until he got adjusted away from her before she did this but I don’t see any reason to wait now. I heard that he had to move back home with his parents which is kinda a joke because they felt that my daughter was the best thing that had ever happened for him…oh wells… I hope to have pictures later today…thanks for your support my online fam! Love ya all!!! http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/j...nd/48cnf2s.gif |
((Ms. Loo)). She's beautiful. Just like you. Bless her heart for donating to Locks.

Awww, give her a hug from Jim and I and tell her true love has no boundaries and does endure. I am sure she knows this by looking at you and Craig. She'll heal. Sometimes I think we hurt more than they do when this happens.
